Sea Worthy ~ Breezy & beachfront, steps to the water with views of St John

The Sea Worthy was fully updated in 2024 and is located on the 2nd floor facing the breezy side of Sapphire Beach in Building D. Wake up to sunrise views of St. John and listen to waves crashing as the sun goes down in the evening. The condo is just steps from the beach and pool. Sapphire Beach has good snorkeling, especially as you head toward & follow Pettyklip Point. There is a fair amount of shade for anyone that needs it and plenty of Caribbean sunshine for the rest of us.

We have options for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Sapphire Beach all next to the A Building. The Beach Buzz coffee shop serves breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins and smoothies. They have incidentals for purchase and they offer a free book exchange. Sapphire Beach Bar is open daily through early evening serving drinks, burgers, sandwiches, fish tacos and more. Paradise Pie serves pizza and salads until 8PM daily. Sea Salt is the upscale dinner option. It is a beautiful open air roof top restaurant with views of St John and Tortola located right on Sapphire Beach.

The Sapphire Marina has charter companies that offer fishing and boating trips. Ice is available for purchase at the Marina Office, as well as a token operated laundry facility (Cash, credit/debit cards accepted). The condo is located just one mile from Red Hook & offers a wide range of eating options, bars, shops, groceries and other services including the Ferry Terminal.

Although Red Hook is just a mile up the road, we recommend getting a car for part, if not all, of your stay so you can explore the island at your own pace. It is easy to navigate, "look right, drive left"! St. Thomas offers many dining options, outdoor activities, beautiful beaches & sightseeing opportunities for everyone. There is no additional fee for parking during your stay. Passports are also recommended if you plan to take a day trip to the British Virgin Islands.

The condo has a full kitchen with a range, microwave & refrigerator with ice & water plus everything you need to prepare and serve meals. The full bath has a large walk-in shower with pebble floor, dual under mount sinks, a full-size hair dryer, a mini flat iron and ample storage. Pack up the cooler & beach towels & head out for a fun day at any of the beaches, everything you need is available. The condo has an electronic safe, two ceiling fans, wi-fi, cable tv, iron, ironing board and CENTRAL AC.

We offer our guests an OPTIONAL additional linen service (bed linens, bath towels and beach towels) during your stay, additional fees apply.

Everything was wonderful. Clean and roomy. Great views and location. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. I would recommend bringing your own beach towels. The room towels were pretty thin.

Great Place to Stay in St Thomas

This studio apartment was pristine! It was updated and very clean. The views to St. John from the balcony were amazing and the beach was absolutely beautiful! It was a peaceful place to stay in St. Thomas.

Beautiful location!

The property is great! Has what you need, comfy bed and a great location! Everything you might want is just a few minutes away walking. Beach, snorkeling, beach bars and restaurants, coffe shop with awesome breakfast sandwiches and a couple little shops. Definitely plan on going again.

Amazing!

Such a great place! This unit is in D building at sapphire which is right off of the beach AND pool. Perfect location. The view from the balcony is absolutely phenomenal. Unit was nicely updated and very clean. Bed was comfy. Loved everything about it! Would totally stay here again.

Thank you James and Kelli for sharing your amazing condo. We truly had a great trip. The condo was clean, comfortable, cozy, and we loved the decor!! We visit every year and this condo ranks as one of our favorites!!! They opened up the new beach bar while we were there which was great!! Look forward to coming back next year and staying here again!! Ps. Check out Island Time Pizza in Red Hook. Best pizza ever!! I only wish they were here in Atlanta!!🤗🤗🤗

Great View

A lovely remodel with a great view! Unfortunately, the unit was not cleaned well prior to arrival (crumbs on counter/floor, dirty shower with prior guest’s discarded items in it, missing hand towel). Kelly was responsive and receptive and we’re pretty laid back about things so that didn’t spoil the visit. Hopefully they can get a new cleaning service between guests. Otherwise, a nice place to stay!

Lovely place to stay in Saint Thomas

Everything was even better than what was described and pictured. The condo was very clean and fresh. The kitchen had everything we needed to do some cooking instead of going out all the time. We were able to buy some fresh salmon with our groceries at the Cost U Less for a couple of nice dinners in the condo. This is the second time we have stayed at Sapphire Beach and it is our favorite place to be on the island. We had ample linens. The bathroom was very nice with two separate things on the vanity. Nice, updated fixtures all around. We appreciated that the condo was cleaned with unscented cleaners because of my chemical sensitivities. This unit is very accessible from the parking lot with just a few steps up to the room. Super convenient! We had such a lovely stay, and we wish we could come back every year. Thank you for a lovely time and allowing us to use your home away from home.

Just ok

The location is nice it’s on the beach , there is a beach bar with great fish tacos but horrible service to all visitors/tourists. The room is NOT clean to CoViD19 standards by any means. The shower has literal mold growing inside of it. I’m not sure how anyone can consider that clean. The front door has all these nasty fingerprints. Overall I wouldn’t stay in this specific unit again. When asking for a later checkout the host was very firm and acted like they need 5+ hours to clean the room. Maybe she hasn’t seen how nasty the room is lol go look on the ground if the shower . When I first when in to shower someone had left their razor cover in there which means that shower was not cleaned . It’s my first time using Vrbo , big mistake because Other websites let you see bad reviews but Vrbo hides it and misleads travelers .

Wonderful Experience

The process to access the unit was quite easy. The unit had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay with fully equipped kitchen, quality linens, additions like a safe, cooler, sand chairs, snorkel gear, all available. The photos actually don't do the listing justice, it was all renovated and very clean. (I am very picky about clean!). The location overlooked the pool, which had a better view out to St John than building A, B, C or E. Honestly, I think building D is the best option. The Sapphire Beach "Resort' had probably the most accessible and best snorkeling we experienced. The 'resort' is not exactly in the best shape since there have been 2 devastating hurricanes within 5 years, and since a significant drought. So it was not exactly a lush green property and sandy beach area along the water is not spacious, so go out there early. The restaurants are fairly good, the Sea Salt was expensive, but if you want great seafood, it is worth the cost vs cabbing to a different location. The pizza place had a great chicken pesto option. Bar is a good spot to people watch, and little coffee shop had good breakfast items and some sundries. Very convenient to book sailing excursion with the Sapphire marina next to building E. Great location, very nice stay. I just personally have been to islands that the island itself was nicer.

Celebrating 25 in the VIs

My husband and I spent five of our 10 nights in the Virgin Islands at Seaworthy. This condo is in a great location to catch ferries and boat trips from Red Hook, five minute drive, tops. We did love being that close to RedHook when we came across from Saint John, and took our boat taxi over to Lovango for dinner. However, personally we did not love the vibe of Red Hook. There were quite a few restaurants there and a grocery store which was definitely a perk. Sapphire Beach was fairly crowded while we were there from June 25-30, and a wedding on the beach almost everyday (which was fun to see). There was a lot of seaweed during our stay so we never actually got in the water at Sapphire. Please note this is not always the case, depends upon the time of year you are staying. As it was stated in several other reviews, the pool area has a ton of potential, but currently has two structures in dire need of demolition or restoration. The landscaping around the entire resort could also use a little TLC. That being said, if you are looking for a well appointed Condo with a spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, and a balcony with a beautiful sunrise view, this condo is for you! A pool float, beach mat, cooler, and snorkel equipment is available for guests, but no Beach chairs or umbrella. Lounge chairs are available on the beach at Sapphire, but we spent our days checking out other beaches and it would have been perfect to have a couple of beach chairs to throw in the back of the jeep and take with us. Not a necessity, just a nice added touch. If you are looking for a few things to put on your to do list, we would highly suggest the dinner or day at Lovango (open Jan-mid July), stop by St. John brewery taproom, have breakfast at Gladys, and shop for jewelry at Imperial Dynasty, all in Charlotte Amalie. The fish tacos at the beach bar and restaurant on property are amazing, and Italian dinner at Pesce in Red Hook was outstanding! Spending a day in Saint John is highly recommended, either by taking the people ferry, car ferry, or even a snorkel excursion that takes you to Mahoe to swim with the sea turtles. One thing to note, we did go to Megan‘s bay, which was nice, but pay attention to the cruise ship schedule!! We were there on a Wednesday With about 1500 other people, mostly coming by open air taxis from their cruise ships. Might want to reserve this one for a Monday or Thursday.

That view though!

Fabulous condo! Loved the updated, tasteful and beachy decor. Everything we needed was provided and made for an stress-free visit. The condo location was perfect! The view is breathtaking and makes for some amazing sunrises. Check in was easy (just be sure to stop at the guard stand and get a parking pass). The onsite coffee shop, pizza place, and beach bar had great food and was reasonably priced. Red Hook is super convenient and has a small market where you can get the essentials. A car is super helpful to have to get around. We ventured out to Meagan’s Bay, took the ferry over to St John, enjoyed a sunset catamaran cruise and thoroughly enjoyed our time adventuring around the island. My husband said the snorkeling at Sapphire was some of the best he’s ever seen. If there’s a full moon party while you are there, check it out! It was a fun time. Can’t wait to come back and explore more!

We stayed 4 days for my husbands birthday, the place was amazing! Room was clean and comfortable! We did have a slight hiccup of first day on property, check in instructions said to waive at the guard shack and proceed to the parking lot/unit. Which we did, however when we returned later that evening from dinner the parking lot was a madhouse due to the full moon party, we were told we needed a parking pass to get onto the property - which there were no instructions for, we spent about 30-45 mins that evening trying to get it sorted out and parked back on property. Aside of this one off issue the place was amazing and we would highly recommend. The location was perfect, the property was well kept and the staff in site were super friendly. Additionally the restaurants onsite were top notch- brunch at sea salt had amazing food and views, the beach buzz was perfect for coffee or a quick breakfast, the sapphire beach bar had great quick bites for our lunch before departing.

Beautiful Condo

The condo was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Our view over the pool to the sea was amazing. We ate all the restaurants right on Sapphire Beach and they were all very good. We especially enjoyed the fresh breakfast at the coffee shop . Janet was great !

Sea Worthy is a Worthy Stay!

SeaWorthy is a small but very nice studio condo, nicely updated and beautifully decorated. This unit is in Building D so it's the quieter side of the property, although it does overlook the pool. The kitchen is well stocked with most everyday items you would need. The king bed was very comfortable. The view is..... breathtaking.

Great view and location

Beautiful view of pool/ ocean from this 2nd floor condo. Modern decor, very clean, comfy bed. Great patio. Room cools quickly. Snorkel gear right in our condo. Free beach chairs on the beach. Great beach bar, coffee/ice cream shop and upscale restaurant right on the property
