Beautiful cozy beach cottage

We loved our stay at the beach chalet! It was so close to the beach, parking was easy, Owner was very responsive anytime we had a question, the place had everything you could want in a beach getaway. Highly recommend, if we ever come back to Scotland, this would be the first place I’d try to stay again! Perfect!

Beach location

We three over 65 year olds wanted a quiet New Year celebration near the seaside. The chalet was perfect for us. Beautiful views over Belhaven Bay, ideal location for dog walking and very handy for Dunbar town. The chalet was well equipped, beds were comfortable and warm and cosy.

Perfect spot

Great location

Property was in a great location. The hosts really thought of everything, board games, books, bikes, binoculars! Everything was clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend, and stay again.

Lovely little chalet in beautiful setting

This is the second time I have been to this chalet in Belhaven and it was warm cosy comfortable and had everything you would need to enjoy your stay . I go back to Belhaven to reminisce about childhood holidays and I always feel at peace in this beautiful setting . Thanks Alice and I hope to visit again in the future .

Lovely

Property was as advertised. Lovely and clean. Beautiful location. Checking in and out was easy. We couldn't figure out how to use the fire place. Sent a message request to the owner and had a reply minutes later. I only have one thing to request and that is a memory foam topper for the double bed as it was a little uncomfortable. However, we still loved the property and we will definitely be booking to stay here again.

Fantastic view

This property is good for its price range. My family and I stayed here the last week in October’20 when the weather was quite changeable but the fire and heaters in the property worked very well. It’s a small place but very well quipped ( however if the owners install a small tumble dryer in one of the bedrooms or shed for people who stay in bad weather that would be extremely helpful) . The bedrooms were a good size and there was a small table and chairs you could pull out in to the room which easily seated 4 people. The shower was on the weak side and the shower screen in need of repair. Overall we were happy with our stay and would consider staying again , the view is fantastic and certainly made up for any small niggles with the property .

The chalet was super cute and comfy. The walk to the beach took less than 2 minutes and the scenery was beautiful! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied. They only downfall was as Americans we didn’t understand the electric switches and the immersion heater which the host was quick in replying on how to work it! We had a great time and highly recommend this place!

Small but perfectly formed gem right on the beach. The whole family loved it here, including the dog. It was clean, bright but cosy in the evenings. I just wish we had been able to stay longer, genuinely sad to be going home. We will definitely be back

Loved our weekend stay in this chalet. It was spotlessly clean, and had everything we could have wanted. Alice was fab at keeping us informed of check in details and providing all the information we asked for quickly and with great detail. A Perfect Hidden Gem

We absolutely loved our time at Beach Chalet in Dunbar. It was pure perfection from start to finish. I co own the property with my partner. We live in Edinburgh a 30 minute drive away, so we are available to assist if there is an emergency.
We are both retired

Why they chose this property

The property has been in the family for 16 years. My partner inherited it in 2013.
We are a 30 minute drive away but as soon as we reach Belhaven we are in another world where we can unwind.
We love the view standing at our window of The "Big Sky" and the sea, which changes as the tide comes in and out.
We are never bored as there are so many places to visit in the area.

What makes this property unique

We love walking on the beach outside our door, walking the east lothian sections of the John Muir Way, visiting quaint villages inland, and the lovely seaside towns of North Berwick, Gullane and Dunbar, finding new coffee shops on our travels and keeping a list, which we are happy to share with our guests.
When we are feeling energetic, we walk up Berwick Law or Trapain Law where we have a lovely view of the coast.
My partner has recently discovered micro-lighting near the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and has enjoyed seeing the coast from the air.
