Everything we needed was there. But rather dirty, especially under the beds and the bathroom.Really enjoyed the log burner, it made all the difference.Loved the location, peaceful and stunning scenery
Great experience from booking to arrival to leaving. Property was lovely. Used as a base to explore north Berwick coastline in run up to the Open at St Andrews.
Beautifully refurbished country cottage, very comfortable & in a lovely estate with pretty walks & views of the surrounding country side on the doorstep. Good facilities in the cottage.
A delightful house in a very quiet setting but convenient for all the attractions of the area. The house has real character and we enjoyed being able to walk our dog through the neighbouring woods. Would certainly aim to return.
The house was beautiful, in beautiful surroundings and very well equipped! Only a minor suggestion - some info about the walks near the house and guides to the local area would be handy addition but other than that - perfect! Thank you

Nice area and cottage, but needs better management !
This Cottage could be fantastic with a few tweaks … nothing wrong with the basics, but we had to clean a big accumulation of bird dirt off the windows, the sitting out area was overgrown and there were only a few logs for the log burner! Clean-ish inside, but no excuses for mould in the bathroom ! Could do better !!
Gorgeous farm cottage, perfect place for a family stay.
A really lovely spot that had everything we needed for a weekend near the coast. Super comfy beds and cosy house with toys for the kids. The tennis court was a bonus the boys loved playing in a field surrounded by sheep! They have thought of everything and we arrived to a lovely clean home. It would have been useful having a sign to the cottage on the main road as the post code is too large an area and we went up the wrong driveway the first time. Great tips on local farm shops meant yummy breakfasts and treats were there for us to enjoy. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Disappointed
Based on the photos and description, we were very excited to stay at the Stables Cottage. Upon arrival, however, we were quickly disappointed. The outside bushes are totally overgrown and make the property instantly look rundown. Upon entering, we were immediately hit with the odor of damp, musty wood which triggered allergies. The furniture and the beds are very uncomfortable. The sofa is stained and the throw pillows were dirty as well. The windows were dirty and moldy and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. We made the best of it, but in the current condition, could not recommend.
Your chance to stay in a working stable close to beaches and history.
All was great. This is a working stable with horses and those many that have to care for horses, plus at least one friendly dog. You felt welcomed and that was appreciated. With a 15 minute drive you are in North Berwick and so close to John Muir park and Seacliff. Seacliff is special. The only, and minor, negative was that it was not a peaceful place when we were there- lots of tree trimming (Chain saw) and chipping- so very noisy at times. I would guess this is a rare event and suggested to the management team that they inform potential clients before hand. With that aside, a very special space. Loved saying "hi" to the horses.
Lovely welcome from Alex who did the cottage renovation and his Dad. Cottage beautiful, everything you need, lovely quiet spot with walks right on the doorstep, ideal for our elderly dog. Would definitely go back. Bed too soft for me with my dodgy back but otherwise perfect.
