Very warm & cosy. Relaxing surroundings. Everything we needed for our stay. Conformable and very clean. Highly recommend. Would easily book another trip here. The owners were very welcoming & friendly. Thankyou very much.
The property was as described and suited our young family perfectly for visiting both the North and South coasts. Jo and Richard were amazing hosts and the property had everything needed for our stay in a stunning rural location. We’ll definitely be back.
Perfect location and very easy to find with the owners map. We managed to visit a lot more places than we expected too as the cottage is quite central and although in a beautiful quiet setting its also close to the main road and easy to travel around. The cottage was lovely as were Jo and Richard. We very much enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend a stay here

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic location.
A warm welcome awaited us as soon as we drove up to the property. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is warm, modern and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is finished to a high standard with a washing machine and dishwasher. Although our stay was brief, we had a peaceful and relaxing time. It was lovely to see clear skies with bright stars and great to hear the owls. A perfect short break. Thank you.

We would like to thank Jo and Richard for the welcome we received on arrival at Mulberry Cottage, they made us feel as though have known them for years, which hopefully will continue for many years to come. Mulberry Cottage is perfect in every way. It was like being in your own home from the start to finish. You have the beauty and tranquillity of the country side, with ease of access to all areas of Cornwall. You will never be stuck for anywhere to go as Jo and Richard are very good on advice of how to get to different places of interest.

Many thanks Jane, Doug & Karen for your thoughtful & caring review of Mulberry Cottage - we equally enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you all again in 2015! Best Wishes to our wonderful guests - Jo & Richard
The property presented well but as previously mentioned, beware the tiny bathroom, very narrow and would not suit larger person. I got changed in bedroom as almost impossible to change in bathroom.
The owner advised us when we arrived to be very careful of the surfaces in the kitchen as they could be easily damaged if they got wet. Made both of us nervous in case water got anywhere and we didn’t notice.
Owner also entered the property when we were out. We don’t understand why as no notice given but she went into our fridge and tidied it. We had a soft drink spill a bit and we had planned to clean it up when we got home but it was already done.
This property though well presented would not be suitable for disabled as there are stairs to enter and bathroom as mentioned previously would be very awkward to use.

All guests are provided with a location map for ease of finding us, you included. They are also provided with booking documents to complete prior to arrival which you did not return!
As regards entering the property, the smoke detector had been set off by your constant use of the washing machine and tumble dryer, and upon entering the cottage, I was met by a pool of liquid dripping from the fridge, where you had put a can of coke in the freezer which had exploded! You were clearly aware of the mess you had created and had just left it! There are no steps entering the bathroom.....? and regards the size of the en-suites, it states quite clearly on the 'Facilities' page that they are approved by planning and building regulations as a standard size, and we provide two photographs on the VRBO web site so you can ascertain whether they are suitable for your person - it also states wheelchair inaccessible! I would suggest you read where you plan to stay in future and leave properties as you find them in a clean condition as sadly mine was not upon your departure! Most certainly would not host again.
Mulberry Cottage is a lovely, tastefully decorated cottage. The double bed is very comfortable, the single beds and the sofa less so. We were welcomed with a delicious cream tea. However, before getting out of the car we were warned again about getting the kitchen worktops wet or putting anything hot on them as they are solid wood. We were also told not to try to turn our car round on the driveaway but to reverse out onto the single lane winding road. Inside there were warnings about the toilets (understandable), the extractor fan, about damaging the controls on the grill, etc, etc. There was no warning, however, about the shower becoming scalding hot if another tap is turned on in the property. As the rainfall shower cubicle is small and the curved door partly faces the wall it is very difficult to move or get out quickly so it is dangerous when the temperature increases suddenly. Also, the heated towel rail is next to the w.c. and opposite the sink in a very narrow room. If it was hot it would be almost impossible to avoid burning your legs. Richard and Jo are nice people but we wanted a relaxing holiday and we found we were constantly worrying about getting water on the worktop, particularly as the drainer is also made of wood with instructions not to leave wet items on it! The cottage is ideal for someone as a beautiful home and ideal if decor is all important to you, but not practical for a stream of short stay holidaymakers like us who want to relax.

When you arrived at my property, you made no attempt to get out of your car when the rest of your family did, so had no choice but to speak to you through your car window while your husband and daughter stood by. All house rules (and by the way, every let has house rules) ref oak work surfaces, size of en-suites etc are present on the VRBO web site, enabling you to view in advance, you also sign a booking document agreeing with T&C's including the above, therefore isn't it better to be forewarned and forearmed than to damage a property and have to pay for it? You then in turn would say that you had no prior knowledge....! I would advise you in future to read and view description before you book, as we, as hosts do not know you, then you can ascertain if suitable for your 'person'. Your husband brought over the key and was asked if everything was ok, and his response was 'Yes lovely, not looking forward to the long journey home'..... Your title merely states a lack of respect for holiday lets, I over the many years of letting have thousands of happy, returning guests, including Caryl who will be holidaying again with us very soon....the lady whose review you are making reference to!
Mulberry Cottage realy has the WOW factor, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay and so peaceful. Plus an amazing cream tea laid out for us on arrival.
Jo and Richard are wonderful hosts, vwe will definitely be back, thankyou so much xxx

As I am unable to write a written review to you directly - I feel it necessary to let you know that after your stay - all my white sheets, white pillow cases and white towels were covered in sun-tan lotion which will not come out after three hot washes! After 11 years of hosting, this is a first and is very disappointing as all this bedding and towels now have to be replaced.
Beautiful cottage situated in Liskeard. We had a lovely stay. Cottage was immaculate.
We were welcomed on arrival and given all the information we needed for our stay. From booking to leaving I could not fault the experience at all and would recommend this cottage for others to book. We willbe back one day.
Beautiful and comfortable cottage in tranquil countryside
This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to escape the crowds. Very clean and extremely comfortable with friendly, helpful hosts. Can definitely recommend.
