Great rural property very peaceful, Contained everything you needed for a comfortable stay, fully equiped kitchen, Kind host who recommended many places to visit.
The property had everything that you could ask for, exceptional in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to friends and family

Charming, comfortable and cosy.
We really enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage which was convenient for all the sights in East Sussex. Great having 2 en-suites - which are hard to find - and flexibility with number of nights made it perfect for mum and me. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting the area.

Spacious & comfortable. Unfortunately due to a situation at home we had to leave after only 2 days so cannot give anymore than this

Unfortunately, this couple had personal issues, and had to leave, after one night, so very disappointed with their review. It doesn't reflect our usual appraisal, but I also did say that smoking was not allowed in the cottage.
Very nice country refuge. Beautiful scenery and so peaceful.
Super friendly pubs with excellent food at reasonable prices. (6 Bells and Kings Head for tons of character and great meals without chips!).
Accommodation was clean, comfy and spacious.
The property was beautiful, especially if you like the English countryside! Lovely hosts, very helpful. One note for all of the properties we visited would be to have grab-bar in shower and/or tub. Really enjoyed my stay!

Lovely place
Beautifully renovated cottage in a peaceful place (down small country lanes), with friendly hosts. 2 bdrm has huge sitting areas downstairs, and great mod kitchen. Wifi weak, but new lines were being installed. Could use new bed pillows, otherwise our stay was perfect!

Glad you enjoyed your stay, new pillows installed !
Feels like a very recent barn conversion, but the ratings show it to be older than it looks. A really great layout for small family reunions, having open spaces and quiet nooks for personal chats. Both bedrooms are ensuite. Big, well-equipped kitchen. Quite remote but good shopping is adequately close.
It was great...do check the carpet just in front of the bathroom door in twin bed bedroom...I think there may be an exposed carpet tack. That's a small issue, overall we had a wonderful stay!
The cottage was very nice and offered everything we needed. Katie was super helpful and readily available to address any questions.
At first we thought the location was isolated. But it turned out to be close to many interesting attractions and local pubs. Being from America, the roads were very narrow, which required an extra pound of caution.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to future visitors.

A little hidden gem which has to be experienced
A peaceful location with unexpected view of the Downs from outside. Well appointed cottage which exceeded all our expectations. So spacious inside loved the layout of the space downstairs with the garden room in which we spent happy evenings relaxing with a book. Best cottage we have ever stayed in for lighting in all the appropriate areas. Cottage was pristine, lovely bed linen and towels. Katie was most welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. This is definitely one we would return to and recommend to friends.

Tranquil rural hideaway
This is a beautifully presented rural cottage. In a very quiet location, we had a great time exploring the local countryside, coast, and NT gardens. The hosts were warm and friendly, and popped in just to check we had all we needed. This is a very well equipped cottage and was spotless. It is spacious and light , and we didn't use all of the seating areas. It was a little cold to sit outside, but the secluded patio did look inviting. The cottage was very warm and cosy, and the large kitchen made eating-in very easy. Easily one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Thank you.

Situated in a quiet rural environment we had an enjoyable stay, visiting several National Trust properties. Also went to the coast and Battle Abbey, the site of the Battle of Hastings. The pub in the nearby village of Chiddingly is highly recommended.
Everything about this accommodation and location was brilliant. Katie & Michael are so friendly and welcoming. Location is excellent for sightseeing local area, towns and beeches. Outstanding!!
The house has been beautifully renovated and is extremely comfortable and peaceful. There is also a lovely walk through the fields to an excellent free house pub.
A spotless and charming cottage in a very quiet location with very friendly hosts. We didn’t lack for anything and would recommend for families or friends getting together. We had a lovely stay.

Good quality property in quiet country location
Spacious. Unusually has 2 lounge areas. Excellent if you want to visit north, south, east and west but you may prefer to be nearer the coast if that is your main area of interest (weather permitting)

We have many interesting places around us, that are varied and for all the family. The seaside is only a short journey in the car, depending on which area you choose. Very versatile for all year round breaks.
Barley cottage was like a home from home. Very comfortable with everything you need. Location is so peaceful, well situated for all the great places to visit in East Sussex. Michael and Katie on hand to help if necessary.
