The cottages are set in a four acre meadow well back from a quiet country lane in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Everything we wanted

It was well worth the long trip by car to stay in this charming cottage with my husband and little dog. Location is perfect. The cottage had everything we needed. The owner, Gillie, was very hospitable.

Baytree Cottage

Lovely patio area overlooking a large meadow. The weather was amazing so we spent a lot of time outside enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. An abundance of birds, butterflies, rabbits and even the odd deer! The cottage itself is very comfortable and clean with lots of interesting places to visit within half an hours drive. We also particularly enjoyed the walk from Chichester harbour down towards West Wittering beach.

Great place to stay

Well appointed property, we stayed during a heatwave and loved throwing open the French windows, opening the velux windows and enjoying the cooling breeze. We have already for booked next year.

My family moved to Birdham in 1947 and Martins Cottage has been in family ownership since that date. I grew up in Birdham and went to school in Chichester. My own family have also grown up here. We all love this area. We have everything! We have a wonderful sandy beach minutes away, The Chichester Harbour is just down the road and historic

Why they chose this property

Recently we had a small flock of sheep in our paddock. When we gave them up we decided to turn the hay and lambing barn into two semi detached luxury holiday cottages. The cottages are in a perfect situation. They sit well back from our quiet country lane, they face South West and are full of sunshine. To add to that they look out over our four acre meadoiw that is teeming with wildlife.

What makes this property unique

I can honestly say that I have never had a complaint! Our Visitor Books are full of the most wonderful reviews. Visitors leave looking so well and relaxed on departure. The cottages are extremely clean, comfortable, light and sunny. You could not fail to have a wonderful time.
