We had a wonderful 5 week stay in the beautifully appointed and spacious apartment in The Manor. Surrounded by acres of parkland and woods full of birdlife , it was quiet and peaceful and comfortable.

Wonderful home and Excellent host! An unforgettable experience, I hope to be back very soon!
If I had to describe our stay at Kim’s apartment will be “home away from home”. Our stay there has been wonderful. My 5yrs old daughter and I we spent some months there and it did exceed our expectations. The Manor is a stunning place in the middle of the beautiful English countryside but still close to shops and villages. The apartment is as described and appeared in the photos: nice, very well looked after, spacious, all provided.
The communication with Kim was excellent and she replied to any query within hours. She was always very attentive and helped us in anything we needed.
Easy private car park and perfect for our car (Toyota Yaris).
If I have to mention something that might needed improvement could be the WiFi. It was just ok to send and receive emails but not very strong signal and not quite well to download or watch anything online, but we managed with what there was during our period of time.
I really hope we have the chance in the future to go back and enjoy The Manor again!
As reviews have noted, the apartment is spacious, beautifully appointed, and wonderfully peaceful. Waking up to the sound of birds in the well-maintained grounds was a delight, and the surrounding woods offered a serene place to walk and unwind. The welcome handbook was informative and helpful, and Kim was an excellent communicator—always prompt and responsive. For our needs, the Manor House Apartment was the ideal retreat: a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and countryside charm. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and treated ourselves to a truly relaxing stay.We would gladly return, should our circumstances allow.
We spent three months here and were very comfortable. The appartment is large and very well appointed. The setting in the grounds of an historic estate is special. It was easy to contact Kim, the owner to address very minor queries. The internet connection was upgraded while we were there and is now very fast. Highly recommended.
The apartment was lovely. It is large , warm and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful.
We would return if ever we are in the area..

The apartment was very big and set in a beautiful location. Well equipped and very comfortable. A great place to get away from it all whether it be for work or pleasure.

A great experience
We had a lovely two-month stay in Kim and Martin's apartment. The apartment was spacious and beautifully appointed, in a peaceful rural location (although still just about within commuting distance of Cambridge). Kim and Martin were fantastically friendly and helpful before and during our stay.

Quiet and luxury appartment, not suitable for small children
The appartment is in the back of the house, a little less luxury than the front side may be, but still very good, but no balcony. Everything was clean and in very good condition, complete kitchen including dishwasher, washing mashine & dryer, two bathrooms, TV, stereo, large rooms, 1 large bed and a less large one in the second bedroom.
Quiet place with park-like garden, but no playground etc. for children. No groceries or bakery (nor pub) in walk distance, so you need to use the car for everything. Two private parking bays available, one of them directly at the entrance door.
Beautyful landscape around, several cities close by, incl. Cambridge (30 Min. drive). From there train to London in 1 hour (fastest train).
Very friendly owner who helps in any questions.

About the host
Hosted by Kim
We live in Australia and use the apartment as a base for trips back to the UK. My husband grew up in Norfolk and our son is currently at his old school in Suffolk so we like to get over there at least once a year if we can!
Why they chose this property
We have stayed in a lot of cottages in the area but fell in love with this apartment when we saw it as it has such a spacious, quality feel about it. All the rooms are very well proportioned, it is beautifully finished throughout and makes a really comfortable base for the three of us. It's very central to Bury, Newmarket, Cambridge, Ely - and still an easy drive up to Norfolk or down to London.
