Country House Nazzano is a characteristic stone farmhouse located in one of the most beautiful areas of central Tuscany, among olive groves and vineyards, close to the most important artistic and cultural centers of San Gimignano, Siena and Florence. The carefully restored house retains original features. It is furnished with period furniture and the atmosphere is very warm and hospitable. The unique view.

The accommodation is located on the ground floor and on the first floor.
Ground floor: large living-dining room with fireplace, 1 mezzanine bedroom with two single beds,
fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator - microwave oven - dishwasher - five-burner oven, iron and ironing board), service bathroom.
Loggia (20 m2) with table and chairs, large private garden for dining or relaxing.

Upstairs: two double bedrooms, living room, 2 bathrooms with shower/wc

Carlo and Miria were wonderful hosts. The house was perfect and the surrounding olive groves, vineyards and country were so beautiful and peaceful. Close to many interesting towns and always able to return to tranquility! A great place to spend a week exploring, eating fine Tuscan food and drinking excellent Tuscan wine with friends!

Beautiful Tuscany view!!

Miria is a great host, she’s very kind and gave us a lot of information about places to visit, restaurants, etc. The house is beautiful, well equipped (no laundry) and very clean as it looks in the pictures, and the view from the house is stunning! The Tuscany hills, olive trees, absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. There are a couple of things to consider: as the house is in the countryside, there is a 15-20 min drive from Certaldo, the nearest town, and part of the drive is on a road not paved, very narrow and with no electricity, something we were not prepared for… but the place is so beautiful that you get used to it. Second, the shower is really tiny, smaller than the average European shower, a little uncomfortable. Other than that, If you don’t mind these couple of things, the place is really gorgeous, idilic…

Erholung Pur in toller Landschaft

Sehr schönes Landhaus mit super Ausblick in die Weinberge! Hier kann man durchatmen und sich gut erholen. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Vermieter sind super nett! Die Gartenanlage ist einfach nur einTraum. Die Lage ist perfekt, Mitten in der Toskana. Tipp -mit dem Zug von Certaldo nach Florenz fahren. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub! Was man allerdings wissen sollte: die unbefestigte Schotterstrasse ist nichts für Autos mit niednrigem Radstand und jedenTag eine Herausforderung. Außerdem gibt es für das ganze Haus nur ein Klimagerät im oberen Bereich das nicht für das ganz Haus ausreichend ist. Gebühr zusätzlich 5 Euro pro Tag.

Landhaus in wunderschöner Umgebung

Diese Ferienwohnung liegt einsam mitten zwischen Weinbergen und Olivenbäumen. Man erreicht sie nach einem holprigen, ca. 2 km langen Feldweg, abseits der Straße nach Gambassi Terme. Von der dazughörigen Terrasse hat man einen großartigen Blick in die toskanische Landschaft. Die Wohnung ist groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, nur die Dusche ist wirklich sehr klein. Der Vermieter Carlos spricht Italienisch und Französisch, seine Frau auch Englisch. Beide haben uns gute Tipps für Touren in die Umgebung und für Restaurants gegeben. Ende Oktober war das Wetter noch so gut, dass man auch tagsüber die Terrasse nutzen konnte. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto.

Wonderfully Relaxing Vacation Home

La Lucciola combines the quietness and comfort of a well-equipped country house with the central location to visit some of the most beautiful Tuscan places, Certaldo, San Giminiano, Siena, Volterra, Florence and the Chianti region. We came with friends and benefitted from the possibility of combining La Lucciola with an adjacent apartment. The hosts were very helpful, met with us in Certaldo when we arrived, accompanied us to the site and always provided advice and suggestions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommed La Lucciola unreservedly.

Ein Kleinod in herrlicher Lage

Nine/Colette Wir hatten einen ganz wundervollen Aufenthalt, bei dem keine Wünsche offen geblieben sind. Die Aussicht ist spektakulär, das Ambiente wunderschön und die beiden Vermieter Miriam und Carlo sind sehr liebe Menschen, die wir ins Herz geschlossen haben. Alle Städte (Siena, San Gimignano, Florenz und auch Certaldo) sind tolle Ausflugsziele und schnell zu erreichen. In etwas über einer Stunde hatten wir auch das Meer erreicht. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!!!

Tolle Wohnung in den Weinbergen-Erholung pur-TIPP

Sehr schöne Wohnung, abgeschieden in den Weinbergen. Absolute Ruhe - Erholung pur. Die Wohnung ist großzügig bemessen, mit Ausnahme der Dusche. Geschmackvoll eingetrichtet mit antiken Möbeln. Die Terrasse mit Blick ins Tal und auf die Weinberge ist genial und ein echtes Highlight. Ein paar Meter oberhalb des Hauses hat man einen schönen Blick auf die Türme von San Gimignano (Luftlinie ca. 10 km). Das Haus ist tatsächlich so schön, wie's auf den eingestellten Bilder zu sehen ist. Die Lage des Hauses ist zentral gelegen zw. Florenz und Siena. Für Ausflüge nach Florenz, Siena, San Gimignano, ins Chinati oder auch ins Val d' Orcia perfekt gelegen. Die Altstadt von Certaldo ist auch sehr sehenswert. Die Vermieter Carlo und Miriam sind sehr freundlich. Es fehlt an nichts. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen: die kleine Dusche und die Betten/Liegen auf der Empore. Aber auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert - ein (Geheim-) TIPP!

Un endroit reposant et agréable

Nous avons séjournés cinq nuits dans cet endroit splendide et reposant; le paysage est magnifique et Carlo le propriétaire est un homme très avenant; Le logement mis à disposition était agréable; Un petit bémol sur l'usure du canapé lit dont le matelas vous laisse des souvenirs le matin. La TV bien que pas très utile en vacances ne diffuse pas de chaines françaises.

This house in toscany was our best experience ever!!!!! We where three adults and s baby. Not only was comfortable, clean, with everything you needed include, also miriam and carlo gave us extra things for the baby, like toys and a baby chair!!!!!! Miriam and Carlo are the most warm, nice and responsable hosts. The house is really a daydreaming!!!!!! The beautifull view makes you wanna stay for ever!

Quel endroit magnifique !! la maison est située dans la campagne toscane, au calme et au milieu de paysages somptueux; nous avons passés des vacances inoubliables, la maison au charme pittoresque est très agréable, propre et bien équipée; merci aussi à Miriam et Carlo pour leur accueil, leurs bons conseils et leur gentillesse; enfin la location est très bien située à proximité des beaux villages et de belles visites. Beautifully restored farmhouse with vineyard views

We hope to return to this spacious, well-maintained and beautifully decorated apartment, "La Lucciola", in a restored farmhouse surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, just ten minutes or so outside the town of Certaldo. Our hosts, Miriam and Carlo, kindly met us at the train station in Certaldo and led the way in their car through town and to the house. As you turn off the main road, a long driveway leads up and down the hills through the groves to the house. In the distance across the miles of farmland you can see the tall towers of an ancient hill town. The country house "Nazzano" is divided into private apartments, and there is also a house next door and another just up the lane. We liked the feeling of being alone on our hill out in the country and still having some people nearby. Mornings and evenings, my husband and I enjoyed the terrace of La Lucciola, with its splendid hilltop views and the grassy yard where pears, roses and pomegranates were growing. We walked down the country lane at twilight and gazed at the moon. The expansive, peaceful setting was very refreshing to us after staying the previous week in a city apartment. Day trips to the many old hill towns nearby, including Certaldo Alto, San Gimignano, and wonderful Volterra, were very pleasant in our rental car. Each town has spectacularl architecture to marvel at, as well as shops, museums, great restaurants and amazing old churches. One morning we took the train from Certaldo to Florence and enjoyed the easy walk from the station to the tourist sights. Miriam and Carlo were very congenial and helpful with sightseeing tips, guide books and information on the local area. The listing description for the apartment was accurate regarding the facilities, which were clean and modern with touches of old Tuscan style. The kitchen was fully supplied and easy to use. The bed was very comfortable, and there was ample storage space for our things in the bedroom and the bathroom. We would certainly recommend this house to friends or family members looking for a lovely Tuscan getaway!

a sanctuary to escape to!

A beautiful property set in the heart of the Chianti Region surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, magnificent views and within easy driving distance to many must see places of interest. The food, culture and wines of the region are wonderful and would recommend you visit without hesitation.... we will definitely be going back...... did I mention the wines?!!!!

Nous avons passé une semaine dans le calme en profitant d'une vue splendide sur les collines Toscane ... Nous remercions également Carlo et Miriam qui sont particulièrement accueillants. La maison est très agréable et n'a pas pas le style impersonnel de la plupart des locations , elle semble avoir une âme , de ce fait nous avons eu l'impréssion d'être chez nous... La situation géographique est excellente pour effectuer les visites de la région et le retour dans ce havre de paix est des plus agréable. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de cet endroit et notre fils a également apprécié de vivre dans cette campagne si belle accompagné de Carlo que les enfants adorent.

A Gem Amongst the Vineyards and Olive Groves

My husband and I were celebrating our Silver wedding Anniversary so wanted somewhere special to stay. We chose Tuscany and after choosing here we were offered this apartment. We were not disappointed, what a beautiful apartment it is too. It is beautifully furnished, well equipped, airy, spacious, clean, well maintained and in a stunning location down a winding road, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. On many occasions we saw pheasants wandering about and on one evening on returning from a pizzeria we even saw a deer. The owners Miriam and Carlo visited on more than one occasion to make sure everything was OK and to water the plants. The advice given by Miriam on where to park in Florence was invaluable. She also gave advice on where to eat and provided a ring binder of useful information plus a basket of leaflets for day trips, local maps etc. The location of the apartment is perfect, it is ideally placed for Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, and San Gimignano which is a must do day trip with its medieval streets, bag shops, ceramic shops and deli's. Don't forget to try the gelato. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would consider staying here again.

Wunderschön gelegen - ein wahres Refugium

Die Wohnung mit dem kleinen Garten davor ist mit allem ausgestattet was es für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll und alles gut gepflegt. Der Standort ist perfekt um von dort aus das Herz der Toskana zu erkunden. Wir haben sehr schöne Tage dort verbracht und werden betimmt mal wiederkommen. Vielen Dank Carlo und Miriam.

Beautiful house is a great place

We just spent a marvelous week in this charming farm house. Beautifully decorated with antiques and lovingly restored, along with all the modern amenities, the house was an ideal place from which to explore Tuscany. We enjoyed day trips to Florence, Sienna, Volterra and more, but also making meals from the fresh, local produce and Tuscan specialties and dining on the patio while watching the sunset. Incredibly peaceful with panoramic views of vineyards and forests, the house is actually several apartments that can be connected or not. A great design. Miriam and Carlo, the delightful and helpful owners, have really done a great job on the whole property. We can't recommend it more highly.

Best Place to stay in Tuscany!

My husband and I stayed 5 days at House Nazzano (La Lucciola) in May 2009 and we had a most wonderful time. We spent a lot of time on the internet before we found this property that seemed to have everything we were looking for. We have travelled all over the world and so we know how deceiving pictures can be!! The description and pictures of House Nazzano are absolutely accurate; the facilities are great, clean and the location is in the country site (car a necessity) but perfectly situated for sightseeing the whole area, including Siena, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano, the Chianti region etc. The best kept secret however is Certalo Alto, the nearest town - about 3km away, which has several lovely little Restauarants and not too many tourists. The owners, Carlo and Miriam are delightful hosts - we were greeted with fresh flowers (Irises and Roses) in the livingroom and Carlo even brought us a couple of Artichokes from his own garden one evening. The one thing we missed is internet connection at the property, however there are 3 or 4 internet points in Certaldo and we were given to understand that by the fall 2009, internet would be available at the house. We would recommend this property to anyone without hesitation.
