Welcome to Villa Irene:
Located in Almancil, Villa Irene is an Algarve house, characterized by its open spaces, large common areas and well lit, BBQ and a private heated pool by the gardens where you can relax and refresh yourself from the Algarve sun and recharge your batteries.
They can sleep 12 + 2 people in the 5 well-appointed rooms, en suite bathrooms and large windows or terraces that light the rooms.
In terms of location, we are close to one of the most beautiful areas of the Algarve - the Ria Formosa and the famous Algarvian beaches known for their extensive white sandy beaches. We are close to Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo and its famous golf courses and only 15 minutes from Faro International Airport.
The house is equipped with wifi, AC, private parking, among others and if you wish some extra services like heated pool, transfers, swimming lessons in our pool or surf lessons you can always contact us to know about the cost.

wonderful holiday

We were a family party with children, the house was perfect, very well equiped and Catrina was very quick to respond to our requests. The house is well situated for lots of local activities at the same time set away from the bustle of a town. Very happy holiday!

Family holiday

Fantastic Villa! Family of 13, youngest 15, eldest 82, all had a perfect two weeks in this wonderful Villa. Host Catarina was on hand if we needed anything and easy to contact. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Shops very local. Car recommended but taxis easy to get. Only negative was the dogs barking but it didn’t really bother us. Highly recommend this villa.

Superb villa with amazing facilities

Great location, walking distance to Almancil town and Quinta do Lago. Uber and Bolt are easy to book and good value for longer trips. Stunning villa, masses of indoor and outdoor seating and tables. Grand lobby. All modern including bathrooms and kitchen. Two fridges. Great pool area and plenty for the kids including table tennis, basket ball and trampoline. BBQ area is superb and well located on the grounds. Gardens well kept. Would definitely book and stay again.

Enjoyed our second stay

This was our second visit to the villa and we had a great time. For more details you can read my previous review. It says a lot that we chose to return, something we have never done before. On this occasion we had to contact the owner as we ended up locked out and she was quick to send someone round to let us in! Great service!

Absolutely fantastic

Catarina was an amazing host, she allowed us to check in early due to BA cancelling our original flight. I had elderly parents who were very greatful. All villa was equipped with all the facilities. It was very clean. We were in Almacil for my brother's wedding but I will definitely be returning.

Amazing villa

Villa Irene was lovely and very spacious and the pool is a good size. There were 8 adults staying at the villa and there was plenty of room for all of us without getting under each others feet. I recommend to take some spray for the midges in the evening. There seems to be a few dogs around that were barking but we did get used to it along with the Cockerell in the mornings. I would say a car is needed to get around as away from shops etc, but if no car (like us) i would recommend downloading the Uba app, they were brilliant. Had a lovely week at this villa and would return.

Fabulous property set in beautiful grounds

Quiet setting close to Faro airport. In the country but only 15 minutes walk to Almancil town centre. We were 6 adults 40 to 70 with 5 children 2 to 12. Very spacious interiors. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living areas. 5 Bathrooms. All very clean and well maintained. All bedrooms with effective air conditioning. Balconies with countryside views. Fabulous 10m+ pool with large surrounds well equipped with pool furniture. Would definitely return

Spacious luxury villa

My partner and I have just returned after staying a week at Villa Irene. The villa is huge and was spotlessly clean. The entrance is amazing, even more grand than the photos appear. The pool area is also spacious and the pool itself well kept. We had a gardener visit twice during our stay to tend the gardens and pool. There are adjacent properties but fences and hedging ensure full privacy from the neighbours. There are also electric entrance gates for added safety. Communication from the point of booking was excellent from the agent too. WiFi at the property is slow compared to what we're used to in the UK (around 2-3MB). It wasn't an issue for the two of us but it may be different if there's a large group with lots of devices. The reason for not giving 5 stars for our stay is that most properties in the surrounding neighbourhood appear to own dogs who bark for prolonged periods during the day and night time. We found ourselves woken in the night a few times because of this. It's obviously out of the control of the villa owners/agent but did stop our experience from being as tranquil and enjoyable as it otherwise could have been. Other than that, Villa Irene is still highly recommended.

Family Holiday at Villa Irene, Almancil

Just spent a 2 week family holiday at Villa Irene. 14 of us, of all ages. On arrival, the grounds are secure and access is via gate operated by a key fob. The villa itself, was presented perfectly, very clean throughout, kitchen fully equipped with dining seating for all. The bed linen, bath and pool towels were changed and the villa cleaned after the first week. Day time teperatures were in the 30's and at night it was till very hot, which made the aircon in the bedrooms essential at night, they worked a treat. The grounds was well laid out and clean with beautifully maintained garden and great parking space for our 4 cars. The pool and surrounding area had plenty of sun beds, 2 parasols and a fantastic shaded seating area with 2 tables and enough seating for all - first class indeed. The pool and pool area was regularily cleaned and the garden maintained during our stay. The outdoor bbq area on the lower level was excellent and used frequently throughout our stay. We found the general loaction of Almancil very good for accessing various activities as it was only short distances by car to Alhoa, Faro, Vilamoura etc. Go-karting, Aqua Park, mini-golf and golf courses were on the doorstep. For grocery shopping we used Apolonia Supermarket in Almancil, food choice and quality was superb. We have stayed in villas in the mediterranean but Villa Irene now seems to have become our number 1. A truely great holiday was had by all. Thanks also to Catarina who was our villa contact.

Lovely villa

The villa was in an area we know well, central to Vale do Lobo and Quinta da Lago as well as being close to many restaurants and the N125. It comes very well equipped with all appliances and many outdoor seating areas. Very quiet location. Would thoroughly endorse this property to anybody looking to rent a large villa.

June 2022 Holiday

As a family group, we couldn't fault Villa Irene as it provided all amenities as required in a stunning environment - we couldn't keep our 7yr old out of the pool. Catarina kept us up to speed with visit by the Cleaners and Gardener throughout our stay and was available to answer any queries that we had. Whilst the local Uber service is good and reasonably priced, we would recommend hiring of cars to fully benefit from the local attractions to Villa Irene, Faro, Vilamoura and Albuifera are within 30mins by car and offer their own range of activities and sight seeing attractions. All in all, a good holiday in a reasonably priced and stunning property. One we'd book again.

This property was wonderful exceeding our expectations.

It is an amazing property with facilities for all ages. We used every part of it and the whole family loved the pool. When we had a problem after a local power cut our property manager immediately found someone to fix the problem. It is extremely well equipped and in a lovely area.
