Location: The cottage is conveniently located close to 6A, but not near the traffic of 6A and rests in a quiet U-shaped lane. It is .4 miles from Paine's Creek Beach (walk or drop off) and a short 1.5 mile drive to Mant's Landing (AKA Robin’s Hill- permit parking and drop off). A short walk away you can find Dunkin Donuts, Luke Liquors, Kate's Seafood and Ice Cream, Lemon Tree Village Shops and Cape Cod's Museum of Natural of Natural History is about .5 miles away as well, but it is located on 6A so driving is recommended.
Beaches: Brewster is known for the sunsets, seascape, hiking, kayaking, and stripe bass fishing! “Brewster is one of those gems that seems to have been built for the pail-and-shovel crowd, who lounge in the tidal pools or scramble to find fiddler and horseshoe crabs. Plan to be there at high tide, or you may have to walk a mile to get from the beach to the water’s edge.”

The cottage was very nice and we would surely return. Despite the Fall weather, we were able to enjoy breakfast on the deck on several mornings and we enjoyed sunsets at Paines Creek and a beautiful full Harvest moon overhead.
Beautiful home. Great location. Phenominal sunseta at Paines Creek Beach, just a short 13 minute walk from the house. Will definitely book again if available.
Such a great stay in this lovely area and charming neighborhood, quiet and peaceful! To watch the sunset at Paines Creek beach is a must! The house is awesome! It's super clean and has a very cosy vibe. Ian is a great host, highly recommend!!
Ian and Carrie are perfect hosts. Flexible and attentive. The house is immaculate, cozy and best of all, an easy walk to Paine’s Creek’s perfect beach. 100% recommended
This was our sixth year staying here. There are so many reasons that we keep coming back. My young daughter has most of her summer childhood memories staying at this house and we've come to know the neighborhood quite well. The location is just a 10 minute walk down to the beach - which we do every night for sunset. The house itself is clean, comfy and has all the comforts of home. The owners do updates to the interior/exterior every year and clearly care very much about the property. I can't say enough wonderful things!
This is our second stay here and we love the location and the extra living area that we use as a puzzle room. The outdoor shower is the best and it is equipped with everything you would need. Great convenient location!
We truly loved our week in this clean and comfortable cottage. The neighborhood can’t be beat, and the home is perfect for a family. Ian and Carrie were kind and responsive before and during our stay. We hope to return next year!
Place was very clean and had just about everything one might need when staying away. It was near everything, but tucked away. Deck/patio chairs were comfortable and so nice to sit at while watching birds. Owner was very responsive.
We have never stayed in Brewster before and we fell in love with the area - and also with this beautiful, peaceful property! Perfect location and lovely house layout; with just the 2 of us we had ample room to sit and read and drink our coffee in either the den or living room or on the deck. We will definitely be back, Ian and Carrie are fantastic hosts!
My family had a wonderful stay at Ian & Carrie’s cute cottage. This was our second summer renting this property and would recommend it to small families that want a safe and quiet place that is close to everything. Really appreciate the host allowing us to check in early too. Outstanding experience!
5th year in this lovely perfect cottage. This year kids were big enough to go on Cape Cod bike trail. Beautiful. The classics: Harbour light minigolf (and ice cream), Brewster general store ( a gem), Kate's seafood (for ice cream) , feeding the butterflies and visiting the natural history museum (so worth a visit) and of course Paines creek and Scargo lake. We hope to be back next year!We
We had a wonderful time fly fishing on the Brewster flats celebrating our 30th anniversary. We had our kids for a few days as our son prepared to get married next month. The Cape has always held special memories and fun times for all of us. This cozy house was centrally located and allowed us to make day trips and walk to fishing spots in the evening.
We love this home. Ian is a great host. He is very responsive and easy to work with. The house is so comfortable, perfectly located near the perfection of Paine’s Creek Beach. The kitchen has everything we need. The outdoor space and especially the outdoor shower is perhaps the best feature of the house. Leaving SixPenny Lane at the end of the stay was so difficult. We would return again for sure.
Ian's house has become our annual family vacation spot because it has everything we want and need in one beautiful ocean cottage. We love Brewster because it's a bit quieter than many other towns with a great personality and a wonderful selection of restaurants and shops. We always pick up something at Lemon Tree Pottery for our home and my daughter adores the Toy Shop around the corner. The cottage is amazingly well kept, the backyard is perfect for relaxing and we love the outdoor shower! Thank you Ian for anther terrific year of great memories!
This was the 4th year renting this cottage and I hope there will be many more to come. We keep coming back because the house has everything we need (and then some), it's in a great area of Brewster (walkable to Paines Creek) and Ian is absolutely wonderful to work with. This cottage is clean and it's a reliable listing. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home for a week every summer. I feel like it is part of our story now too :)
This is our third year staying at Tales of Sunset Bay, and once again, it did not disappoint! The location is perfect, and we did not hesitate to take advantage of being right down the street from Paine's Creek Beach. It's the perfect beach for our kids, who are now 5 and 6 yeas old. We also made sure to make our annual nightly walks to Kate's, whether that was for fried seafood or for ice cream. The only complaint, which always seems to be an issue, is that the week just goes by way too fast! Thank you for another great summer vacation in the books, next year can't come soon enough!

Charming and convenient
This tidy little house is located in a small, quiet neighborhood of 3 or 4 look-alike houses. The location turned out to be very convenient - a short walk to Kate's Ice Cream or Dunkin' Donuts and a small superette. The nearest ocean view is also within walking distance - it's billed as "the best beach for a sunset," and it was indeed a pretty good place to be when the sun went down. It was also fun to see the apparently newsworthy return of Sparky and his tractor-drawn hay wagon rides, which start out right around the corner from this house at Kate's and travels down to the beach to catch some of the great view.
We found this to be a very convenient location to set out from as we explored the Cape - everything seemed close to us (even Provincetown!), and it was a very pleasant place to return to at night. Our unexpected find: The Whydah Pirate Museum in West Yarmouth. It's apparently new, and we only went to humor one of our sons, but we found it to be a fascinating, well done experience - really interesting, a Disney-like level of finish, and lots of real pirate treasure and artifacts (mostly from one ship). Look for dollars-off coupons in the touristy publications.
Inside and out, everything at this house was clean, tidy and comfortable.
We suggest bringing your own bed sheets (we did) or you'll spend your final morning doing laundry instead of enjoying a last cup of coffee and watching the wildlife (birds a plenty, and even a deer munching on the neighbor's lawn).
This is a nice, quiet place that's really close to all kinds of experiences, from trails to walk, all manner of shops and plenty of places for seafood (did we order the cod? Of course we did) and several good places for ice cream (sorry, Kate - we liked JT's and Cobie's too!). Getting to anywhere on the Cape was easy enough (true, the "season" was just starting), and it was a pleasure to come back to here and relax after ramming around all day.

It sounds as if you discovered some of our favorite places as well! We are so glad you found your visit at our cottage and The Cape a memorable one. We do hope you’ll come back and visit again soon.
Cute Property. Accessible to everything. Luckily we drove so we could bring sheets, towels etc. Noticed in the guest book that people came from far and wide. Don't know how they brought bedding etc. Definitely would stay again.

Our family has absolutely loved the Cape since we moved to Massachusetts in 2004. This cottage is our home away from home and we know you will enjoy it just as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
Location! Our cottage is just north of route 6A, less than a mile from three beaches, sunsets and tidal flats. Kate's Seafood and Ice Cream, Dunkin Donuts, Luke's Liquor Store, and the Lemon Tree Village Shops are all within walking distance. The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is also within a mile. Visit the iconic 'Brewster General Store', which is only 1.5 miles away. The Cape Cod Bike Path is less than 10 minutes, it has miles of trails and is a fantastic non-beach activity for the entire family. Don't forget to check the Cape Cod Baseball League schedule to catch an evening Summer game. Go Brewster Whitecaps!
