About this property
Cottage Next to the Creek in Historic Cascade Canyon At The Foot Of Pikes Peak
This fully restored Victorian cottage with outdoor hot tub is situated on the banks of Cascade Creek in the small mountainous neighborhood of Cascade which is part of the Pikes Peak watershed. Great views of the creek from windows in the sitting area and views of the mountain ridges from the wrap around porch and the sleeping loft. The cottage is at the rear of a larger property with a main house and carriage house and is surrounded by old growth forest. The grounds: large trees, flower gardens, and a private creek side mini meadow are yours to enjoy. The cottage has a wrap around porch with chairs and a porch swing to gaze at the gardens and an outside patio next to the creek with table, chairs, and charcoal grill. The renovated cottage is really a "tiny house"( 500 sq ')with all space efficiently dedicated. There is a small sitting area, a dining area, compact kitchen (fully equipped with microwave, stove, dishwasher, fridge, and washer/dryer), small bathroom with shower, and a light-filled sleeping loft with large windows of the mountains, forest, and night sky. The babbling creek serves as a sleeping tonic. Several trails are outside the front door-one of which, if taken to its limit, takes you to the summit of Pikes Peak. Wildlife, since Cascade is in the foothills, is common—bears, foxes, raccoons, bobcats, and deer.

We enjoyed our short stay but had to leave early due to altitude sickness. The host was very understanding and even helped us load the car because I was having breathing problems. Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to enjoy the amminities.
This was super cute little cottage, close to many hiking trails and beautiful setting. VERY CLOSE to neighbors and host but didnt bother us during our stay. A bit weird at first but got more comfortable as we weren't there a bunch during our stay.
The rental was exactly what I expected. The groundskeeper greeted me as soon as I arrived, introduced themselves, and made themselves available if I needed anything. The space was the perfect size for me as a solo traveler, and I never once felt nervous about traveling alone while I was on the property. The cottage was just the right amount of nature, and the nearby creek was exactly what I needed for a calm, peaceful stay. I also highly recommend taking the short hike up to Mother's Rest - you won't be disappointed!
This was an incredibly beautiful and quaint cottage to stay at. Stayed there recently for my partner & I’s anniversary, and actually ended up getting engaged AT this little Victorian styled cottage! The hosts were very gracious, leaving little welcoming items for us, added all the more little touches to such a special weekend & moment

We loved Kiki’s cottage. Sitting in the Hot tub or drinking coffee on the wrap around porch and listening to the near by creek was paradise. The cottage was cute and quaint and a nice mix of old and new fixtures. Douglas was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we needed . Also location was easy access to Highway 24 and Pikes Peak Highway. We highly recommend this as a great place to get away!

Wonderful stay with beautiful views. The sound of the creek was instantly relaxing. Great location near plenty of restaurants, hikes & attractions. Excellent water pressure and the AC worked like a charm. The host and groundskeeper were very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Overall a wonderful experience!
Enjoyed this little cabin! We were here for a conference not far away so we stayed for a week. Everything clean and as described! We had plenty of down time to enjoy the hot tub and even had a chance to head up to Pikes Peak which was nearby. Would highly recommend!

great location, but property needs some landscaping and some upgrades of the deck and front door. Another nice deck chair would be nice. The property amenities were very good. Host and property manager were excellent.

Why they chose this property
I purchased this property because of its historical significance. I like older homes and the 'big house" (behind which is the cottage) was the first home built in Cascade . Cascade itself was a resort community in the late 1800's, populated mostly by people from Kansas who bought second homes to escape the summer heat and is now populated by those of us who like the rural feel yet easy access to the city. Those of us who live here feel this is a special place.
What makes this property unique
Quiet, cool, peaceful, rural setting by the creek with old growth trees, beautiful gardens, and access to the trails.
