The Lions Den
The property smelled overwhelmingly like lions urine and the beds were unbelievably uncomfortable, bring your own mattress toppers and pillows. One of the closets was so hot I was worried my clothes would be wet from humidity and the basement had a foul odor where the twin bedroom was located. You can tell everything in the home is outdated and the homeowners do not take much interest to keep up with the times. Also bring extra towels bc the ones provided are thin, rough, and small. There was a nice view of the canal behind the home and it was very closely located to the marina.
Shower in king bedroom is a hazard! I slipped before I turned the water and had to use the handheld because the floor was to slippery to stand under the shower head. My husband also had a hard sit down on the seat for the same reason. The floor in that bathroom is also slippery. The closet in that room was a wreck, a simple stacking and straightening would do wonders. No extra pillow cases for the pillows was a bummer too. One thin towel and wash cloth per person is not adequate. The tiny bars of soap and one sponge, one dish washer soap pod, one trash bag, one washing machine packet make the owners seem cheap. Just don’t provide those items and say so or provide enough for the stay. The cigarette butts behind the yellow chair at the top of the stairs where not the welcome we wanted but otherwise the house was very clean. It is in a beautiful location and the house is well laid out. Thanks, Joy and Vic Ingram
