Queen size bed, one bathroom with exquisite glass block enclosed walking shower with beautiful tile work depicting a swimming dolphin with tile floors and granite countertop.
Living room features a queen sleeper sofa with a 52" flat screen TV. Cable is provided as well as Wi-Fi. Kitchen has beautiful cabinetry and granite countertop. Off the kitchen a stackable w/d provided. All bedroom and bathroom linens are provided as well as beach towels. Kitchen completely outfitted.

Ocean side escape

There were many things to enjoy about staying here. Going to sleep and waking to the sound of the surf, eating meals on the lanai watching the ocean, enjoying the beautiful views, the warm island breeze - all of these combined to make this the perfect place for our week in Kona. Plus the location was perfect for exploring the west side of the Big Island.

Fantastic Location!

What a great time my husband and I had at this lovely and well-appointed condo at a beautiful ocean-front property. The grounds and spotlessly kept, and the sunset views from the lanai were outstanding. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit the Big Island!

Great location

Easy walk to Kona or marketplace. Condo location has great views of the ocean and sunsets. The ocean waves lull you to sleep and the bird chatter wake you up. Enjoyed watching the life cycles of the monarchs on the butterfly bush.

Magical Stay in Kona

We loved our stay in Kona! What a beautiful place this was! Perfectly kept grounds. Very quiet! We loved the peace this place brought. Nothing better than sleeping to the waves gently crashing on the rocks outside your window. Everything was perfect! We would love to come back soon!

Sublime Surf Filled Location

What a location! Less than a mile walk to downtown for dinner, outstanding views of the thunderous surf. Property Manager was perfectly communicative as we had to modify a mistake on my end in booking, and was prompt, efficient and very oriented to a hospitable resolution. Would absolutely stay again. The community grills outside are nice as well.

Ocean side X2

This is the perfect condo to watch the sunset from your balcony. With ocean views from both the front (bedroom) of the unit and the balcony, it's hard to do anything else but admire. The unit was incredibly clean, fully stocked with everything you might need, walkable to Kona, beautiful landscaping, and easy parking. The unit manager/host, Mo, is very accommodating and is great with communication. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice place, great location, awesome view!

We have stayed at Kona Makai many times and this is probably our favorite condo to stay in thus far. View was great. Sofa bed was actually comfortable for two young teens to sleep on. Two air conditioners is huge when is gets stuffy! Only negative for the inside was the bedroom window was horribly filthy so looking out at the view from that window was a no go. We washed the sliding glass door upon arrival and the floors were questionabley mopped. Not major issues! Overall the place was fantastic and we would absolutely stay here again! The one thing missing for us that we have always had during other stays is beach chairs and coolers. They had a couple there but in real bad shape. I would say bring your own collapsible cooler if you plan to use one. We did leave the boogie boards we purchased for future guests. The host was fantastic to communicate with! We will be back!

Great view!

The condo is close to a safeway, walmart and downtown kona. The view on the back porch is just beautiful no matter the time of day! You can catch the sunset from your patio or go down and relax in the chairs or on the rocks. The front also faces the ocean which gives you an even better cross breeze and can hear the waves crashing even better than the back. The property is beautiful with lots of green geckos, plants and trees. I will say the walk from the parking lot to the condo isnt horribly far but isnt very close. So bringing your luggage and groceries from the car up stairs to the 2nd story is a little of a workout. The condo itself has a rather large bedroom and decent size shower . The living room was fine for our family of 4 but there isnt a dining room inside, which for the most part is fine as we ate most our meals on the patio. The kitchen was the perfect size for a 1 bedroom but only fits one butt at a time. My only complaints about the condo is the beach gear needs to be updated. There are only 2 chairs which are on their last leg, a broken umbrella. There were 2 boogie boards that looked fine and flippers. Overally we enjoyed the condo, its location and its view. We would book it again!

30th Anniversary

Wonderful property. Perfect location with ocean view and close to downtown Kona. Very quiet with the exception of construction going on downstairs a few days and across the courtyard. It would have been great to have the pool open earlier in the a.m. Condo was well stocked and clean. Patio furniture could use some updating as well as lanai ceiling fan. Lanai door VERY tough to open and close. Overall a very relaxing place to lay your head.

Wonderful Unit

Clean, comfortable, ocean breezes keep the unit cool. Ocean view from lanai is spectacular. Over the years, we have stayed in various units at Kona Makai. All have been very nice, but this one is a gem at a very reasonable price. It is our favorite.

Great Condo, Location, & View

We loved the updated condo with gorgeous views on both sides! Great balcony for morning coffee or tea. The location was perfect as a homebase for our adventures around the island. We’ll be back for more diving and hope to stay here again!
