Amazing views, some issues

This apartment boasts beautiful views from the main living room and balcony. It's extremely quiet at night, with just the sound of the rushing river below. We knew the apt was "pet friendly", however on arrival we found dog hair on the sides of the beds, in the carpets, and all over our socks from walking around - the entry-way carpet was particularly bad. There were also spiders in every corner of the apartment and cobwebs strung across the main living space. Harmless I'm sure, but we did have to spend the first night vacuuming the floors, carpet and ceiling (vacuum head was also full of matted dog hair). Did mention this to owners son when he checked in on us and he did apologize, but no solution was offered. If you are nervous about spiders just beware as we killed 3-4 every day. Once I woke up in the middle of the night and found an enormous one on the floor by the bed, one on the ceiling above me, and a moth on the wall. Yes, the apartment is surrounded by nature and you can expect some bugs, but we had the windows closed and this seemed like more than a comfortable amount. There were also quite a few flies. A thorough cleaning might help with this as we found large dust balls and webs between the bed and the nightstand. The main areas - kitchen, living room - were great. Kitchen was huge and was very nice to have a dishwasher. A little more attention to detail - maybe sealing some cracks to prevent bugs from infiltrating would make this suite perfect!

One short week in September

From the minute we got to Aberlyn we relaxed, it was a comfortable, clean apartment with the most wonderful views. Their was milk in the fridge and a cream tea waiting for us. We had a great week exploring all the local areas and catching up with some old friends. We had good weather so were lucky and when it did rain we were in the comfort of our cosy apartment.
