Welcome to our family's waterfront cottage on beautiful West Lake. Guests often say it feels like borrowing the keys to a friend’s beloved family cottage — personal, welcoming, and thoughtfully equipped to create wonderful memories — and some have even described it as "like being at a cottage, but with all the amenities of a 5-star hotel."

A three-night minimum usually applies, although two nights may be possible with a short stay fee.
Many of our guests are families: brothers, sisters, cousins, and kids reconnecting around the water. Others are grandparents gathering everyone together, or friends sharing an easygoing escape.
Whether you're marking a special occasion or enjoying a few quiet days, our cottage makes it feel effortless and memorable. Our guests are typically looking for more than just a great-looking house. They want a warm, memorable place to truly connect with the people they care about.
Located on Sheba’s Island, our west-facing waterfront is perfect for swimming, paddling, and lounging. The sunsets, different and spectacular each evening, are a highlight of every stay. The gentle, shallow water entry is safe for children and adults alike.
You’ll find a wide, private dock ideal for morning coffee or sunbathing. Floating islands, a canoe, a paddleboard, and beach toys are available to enjoy the lake. And yes, the WiFi signal reaches all the way to the end of the dock.
Sandbanks West Lake Dunes are just four kilometers away, an easy bike ride or a short drive. Two park day passes are included with your stay.
Inside, the cottage is immaculately clean, thoughtfully prepared, and built for gathering.
The chef’s kitchen overlooks the lake and features a wide variety of specialty cooking items such as a commercial Jura coffee and cappuccino machine (Lavazza beans provided), induction cooktop, convection oven, wine fridge, ice maker, Le Creuset cookware, air fryer, gourmet waffle maker, lobster pots, and more.
Everything you need for baking and hosting is here. Even caterers have remarked how well equipped it is. Our guests often say they’ve never rented a place so thoughtfully prepared to create gourmet meals and set beautiful family tables.
Meals can be shared around a rustic outdoor dining table for twelve on the covered balcony or around the large indoor dining table overlooking the water. Choose from a variety of china, platters by local artists, table linens, cloth napkins, candles, and oil lamps to help make every meal feel special.
Outside, there’s an extra large BBQ and a premium WITT gas pizza oven from Denmark, ideal for relaxed family barbecues and “make your own” pizza nights. These little traditions often become the moments families remember most.
The living spaces are warm, bright, and welcoming:
Upstairs living room with an extra deep, goose down filled sofa
Lower level lake-facing living room for movies and games
Cozy games and media room tucked among classic arcade games
Four Smart TVs with Netflix and satellite channels, an extensive DVD library, puzzles, cookbooks, board games, and WiFi throughout make it easy to relax. A printer/scanner is available if needed.
Our games room is truly one of a kind in the County. It features professional-grade Jurassic Park Premium and Wizard of Oz pinball machines, shuffleboard, a tournament dart machine, foosball, air hockey, a pool table, ping pong, and a classic arcade cabinet (MAME) loaded with favorites like Pac-Man, Galaga, and a Virtua Cop 2. No other property in the area offers a games room experience like this.
Beside the games room is one of our family's favourite features: the Giant Family Memory Wall. Guests love using it to sketch their day's adventures, keep score during tournaments, or enjoy full-wall games of Classic Pictionary (provided). It’s a favorite spot for rainy-day fun and family laughter, perfect for making lasting memories.
The cottage has five bedrooms:
Primary upstairs bedroom (#1) with a king-sized bed, private balcony facing the water, and an ensuite bathroom
Upstairs bedroom (#2) with two double beds

This isn’t a commercial rental. It’s our family’s gathering place, a place where we slow down, enjoy time together, and reconnect with what matters most.
From the cookbooks on the shelves to the art on the walls, everything here tells a little part of our family's story. These details were added slowly over the years as we made the cottage our own, simply because it brought us joy and made the space feel like home.
We still use the cottage ourselves, and everything we love about it is here for you to enjoy too.
Many guests tell us their vacation here became one of their favorite memories, and many return year after year to make new ones.
If it feels like the kind of place your family or friends would enjoy, I’d be happy to chat.
Thanks,
Greg
