No Hot water for entire first week of rental; Inaccurate description of building; Elevator out
Manager waited until after I checked in to inform me on day of arrival that the hot water was out but would be restored by that evening. After daily misrepresentations about status of it being restored, the hot water finally was restored 7 days later. I learned that it wasn't a repair issue but the water was turned off for non-payment. Somehow Manager thought that hot water was not a necessity for anyone, but as she described an "inconvenience -- I'm a 70 year old man. She refused a total refund for these days. Then in the 3rd. week of rental, the water pressure almost made it impossible to shower at all. The Elevator was out intermittently and the final insult was that it was again on the Sunday morning of my departure -- I had to drag 4 large pieces of luggage down 4 flights of stairs, causing back ailments I'm still getting physical therapy for. No help. The building is a "C" class building , not updated and everything is old and worn. It is ANTHING BUT LUXURY "la dolce vita"-- no where is this an name depiction. The building houses a number sinle night rentals occupants coming and going at all hours. My stay was anything but "sweet" (dolce), it was a bitter month with a manager who misrepresented the status of the building. I still have much anxiety and residual pain from this experience. After 3 case numbers with VRBO, I only recently received a notification from VRBO recently that I would not be "eligible" for a refund and to work it out with this Manager directly.
