In the Heart of Old Destin. Sunchase town-homes are the original highly-desired beaches of Destin, and you can't get a better seat. You will be within walking distance to some of Destin's favorite Restaurants. 1 block from the Whales Tale There's no pool here, but the ocean is all yours. Just step off your deck onto your own beach.

A 5 min drive of outlet malls, many restaurants, and other retail shopping. Want to go to the Destin Harbor, then give yourself ten minutes driving time, and you're there.

Purchased in 2012, remodeled in 2022 this unit is a 'no smoking, no pets. It has 2 Bedrooms which sleep between two to eight people. The unit comes fully equipped has a King Size master bedroom overlooking the ocean with a private balcony. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and twin bunk with trundle bed. The guest bedroom also has its own full bath, lastly, a foldout queen in the living room with half bath provides three separate private sleeping spaces. There is a full kitchen and 2.5 baths. It comes with a 3 Flatscreen TV's including a 55' in the living room and a DVD Player on every TV. The Full Kitchen is equipped with Appliances, Dishes, Silverware, and Cookware. There are Linens, Towels, and a private Washer / Dryer for your convenience.

The two private balconies are equipped with chairs for a relaxing evenings in the breeze. A gated private staircase allows all renters direct access to the beach and first floor balcony with an outdoor shower and beach chairs to take to the beach, The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach.

The Master bedroom is next to the ocean so you can hear the waves even with the doors closed.

Beach Time

There are two parking spot for this rental that hold 2 standard cars back to back. it is directly in front of the unit.

You get your own spot on the beach. What else could you ask for!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this location! While it may not be a contemporary and immaculate spot, it exudes a charming seaside atmosphere. The greatest aspect of the location is its proximity to the beach, as well as its convenient location near coffee shops and restaurants. Communication was spot on and could not have asked for a better place at the price!

2nd Time Here

We have visited this property before and we will again. The place is always clean and right on the beach. Parking is tight in front of the building but that’s everywhere in the area. If you want a spot on the beach where you don’t have to fight the crowds on the beach this is the place to go to.

dangerous deck stairs

the stairs to the beach were dangerous no hand raills and riser height was different on each step everybody had issues with them railing with plexiglass stopped all sea breezes on main deck

Excellent vacation home!

This condo was in a great location, a beautiful view of the Gulf, and was perfect for our family! We had no trouble with check in, or with checkout, and everything went well the entire week we were there. Definitely will rent this place again!

I found cockroaches in the kitchen and the refrigerator door opens to the wrong size and king size mattress needs to be replaced and the pillows are nasty.

Beautiful private beach!!!!! Heavenly

Love the private beach, location is great. You can walk for dining or shopping. Downfall is all the stairs in the townhouse. But overall we loved our time in the townhouse. Private walkway just steps to the ocean. That was the key factor for us.

Fun in the Sun

We loved our second stay. Love the location on the beach. Ate at Whales Tale for lunch twice, a short stroll on the beach. The only downfall was the master bed is in need of replacement.

Great Beach

Property had too many stairs for us but beach access was great and beach not crowded. Unit we had chosen from pictures on line was not the unit we were in, and we really like to see exactly where we will be staying. Location is convenient to restaurants. Both owner and management were extremely nice and very helpful to us.

Nice place to stay

Nice place to stay for me and my daughter for a 4 day vacation from Ohio. There was a water leak at the property, but owner was in contact with me and had the problem solved within a hour. Nice beach house for a small family or group. I will consider this place again if/when we go back.

Cute property on the beach

This property was better than the pictures show. Super roomy and right on the beach. It’s also great to have a private beach so you’re not competing for space. We definitely will be booking again!

A good value

We only stayed for one night. With that said, we would definitely stay there again. It did appear to be an older property, but for the price compared to nearby rentals it was great. The place was clean and appeared well maintained. Communication was good, timely and concise. Proximity to the ocean couldn't get much better. Convenience store was across the street for those like myself who always forget something. We were in the upper unit which could be challenging for some. I will definitely check with sticks in the sand for a prospective rental next visit.

Great Vacy

Just got back home from a week at this great condo. It was so nice to be on a private beach. While on the beach you could look way down to the left and right and see massive crowds but about 300 yards where your at theres NO CROWDS!! It was a perfect location! Dont bother with Whale Tail. Food was gross! The condo is older but nicely kept. We had problems with the master TV but maintenance fixed it with in a hour. Excellent communication from the owner. If the TV goes out just unplug it for a few minutes and it comes right back on. The beds are the only thing that needs to be upgraded to make this townhouse perfect imo. Will definitely book again!!

Great location but needs updating

The beach is beautiful and private but the townhouse needs renovations. It smelled musty and needs a dehumidifier. The townhouse was clean but with the humidity everything felt wet and gross. The washing machine needs cleaned. It was moldy and had an odor. Also, be advised the townhomes are divided into two units. We had a top unit and there was two flights of stairs to the sand. Also, to get into the front of the townhouse there is two flights of stairs to drag your luggage up.

Great stay

Everything went perfectly. We loved the ease of getting straight to the beach and the location can’t be beat. There was a couple items that needed attention but it didn’t take away from our time there. One step on the deck going to the beach was broken and the tv in the master bedroom would not connect to the cable/satellite. Do not take this as complaining as we just worked around this and never even asked for the issues to be addressed. We had a great time and would recommend this to everyone.

The listing was accurate and GREAT location!

We enjoyed staying here, my husband and two small boys (5 & 3). The previous reviews were helpful and we are glad we chose the upstairs rental. The ocean view from the shared balcony and the master balcony were phenomenal! We saw dolphins the first morning! The owner and maintenance were very responsive when we first arrived and had questions, nothing worth noting as it was patience on our part. We stayed 5 nights so most of the house was utilized. The washer and dryer in the master was so convenient and worked without hiccups. Fridge, stovetop, oven and dishwasher all operated and were useful during our stay. It was nice having 3 bathrooms and we had plenty of beds (although we only used 2). The beach area just outside was perfect and not crowded at all! We put our umbrella out each morning and it wasnt messed with if we left and went into town. Thank you for the excellent stay!

We are not professional renters. We started renting because James's originally purchased a home on the beach and for years he rented out the first floor since he only needed half the space.. We call it Sticks in the Sand because it is on pylons on the beach. Now married with 3 children we have continued to add our rental offerings . Due to the success of the original Sticks in the Sand, We now have 4 townhomes to rent! We have studio 1,2,3 bedroom units and continue to hope to provide our homes for families to enjoy..

Why they chose this property

The units are close to everything, walking distance to a bar/restaurant and directly on the beach with private ownership all the way to the water. The townhome can be rented 3 ways, a 2 bedroom (Listing #838156) , Studio unit (Listing #838155) or if you need more space you can rent it as a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath unit by renting them both. So it was perfect to maintain all my renters in one location

What makes this property unique

Centrally located between Destin, Baytown and Sandestin. I provide everything you need from child toys, chairs and your own piece of private beach to enjoy. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off in and two flat panels to relax indoors. Perfect for a couples getaway, a small family or group of friends. Sleep where you can hear the waves and not see the cars!
