Aldeburgh, Southwold & the Suffolk Heritage Coast including RSPB Minsmere are around 20 mins away by car.
The cottage can sleep up to 5 people (4 comfortably - 5 can be a squeeze!) & one well behaved adult dog! Beds 1 & 2 can both be set up as doubles or 2 singles.
There are several excellent food and drink pubs within 5-10 minutes drive.

Bruisyard is a peaceful countryside village. However if you want a change of scenery, the cottage is just 25 minutes or so from Suffolk's Heritage Coast including the lovely seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. We are also a short distance from the world famous Snape Maltings one of the world’s leading centres of music and a visitor destination of outstanding natural beauty.

Bruisyard Church is always very welcoming to anyone wishing to attend a service there.
Famous for its medieval Castle, the nearby market town of Framlingham has a good selection of interesting shops, restaurants and public houses. The market (which has been held for centuries since about 1285) is every Tuesday & Saturday on Market Hill offering a wide variety of local produce. Amenities in Framlingham also include a supermarket, a library, a doctors' surgery, a dental surgery and a bakery.
Framlingham was also used as a major location for the BBC comedy series The Detectorists featuring Mackenzie Crook & Toby Jones.
There is also a market in Saxmundham every Wednesday. The town has a Waitrose store which offers deliveries to Bruisyard (as does the Co-op store in Framlingham).
Situated just off the A1120 tourist route, Bruisyard has good access to the Suffolk Heritage Coast with its famous RSPB Minsmere Bird Sanctuary and many coastal, heath and woodland walks, as well as the varied coastline and beautiful rivers. Also just a short drive away are the well-known coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold, the world famous Snape Maltings concert hall and the historic market town of Woodbridge on the River Deben.
Near to Woodbridge is Sutton Hoo – home of one of the most important Anglo Saxon finds of all time and now managed by The National Trust.
A little further afield lies Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk and also the Norfolk Broads can be reached quite easily by car.

Thanks for your lovely review Andy. You and your family will be welcome back anytime.
We were wanting a quiet getaway and we couldn't have asked for better. Tranquil setting. Very easy check in. Lovely property and a warm welcome with milk, wine and the most incredible cake provided! We would definitely recommend and return. Thank you!
Just spent a very pleasant stay at the cottage. Very clean comfortable beds and a warm welcome with a bottle of wine and cake. Heating with individual radiators worked well. It is worth noting that this is a middle terrace property and we did have some noise from a neighbouring wedding group in the next door property but quiet otherwise
The cottage sums up for us everything that is good about a UK countryside break.A return to simple pleasures with the added bonus of good weather. Lots of walking, talking and reading in the gardens at the property. The cottage was as described and met all of our needs.Located within the countryside with easy access to the coast and villages.Thank you Richard and Sue for keeping the cottage as original as possible and for our cake (Highly recommended)

Thanks for your kind review. We hope to see you again!
The cottage was in a very rural location in a row of four similar properties. Lovely and quiet with plenty of local walks from the door. There were stone steps leading from the car park up to the front door and very steep steps up the single bedroom. We were disappointed with the mixer shower due to its low water pressure.
Overall the cottage was cozy, warm and comfortable.
The cottage is well presented, nicely decorated and well equipped. Our bed was large and very comfortable. It was very suitable for us having a secure garden for our dog. The location was ideal for easy access to the Suffolk coastal towns. There are several good pubs nearby; we particularly liked the Sibton White Horse for its character and food. We enjoyed a very pleasant five nights at the cottage. John and Jackie.
This cottage was immaculately clean & provided everything needed for a few days stay. Beds were very comfortable.
Instructions easy to follow. Definitely a winner!
If you like rural isolation with close proximity to all that beautiful Suffolk has to offer, then this is for you. Very clean house and clearly well maintained, with friendly and helpful owners. On the downside there are no nearby amenities, pubs, shops or restaurants so transport is required.
Really enjoyed our stay in this cosy cottage. Tastefully decorated and very clean. A peaceful location ideal for trips to the Suffolk coast. Highly recommend.
I would highly recommend staying at this property. It is set in a very quiet location in the village of Bruisyard. Nice walks to some local pubs and only a 10-15 minute drive to a couple of big supermarkets and 20 mins to Aldeburgh on the coast which was a highlight. The owners were very helpful and easy to deal with throughout.
Lucky with the weather, sunshine and very hot, so made good use of the gardens both front and back. Nice easy walk to White Horse pub (Badenham) for dinner. Lots to see and do - first trip to Suffolk, won't be the last. The baker of the welcome cake deserves a medal - amazingly good!
