There are lovely ocean views from the living room, kitchen and front lanai. You will feel the magic of Maui as soon as you walk through the door! Our condo sleeps 6 people and is well suited for families, friends or newlyweds!

Conveniently located in the Ilima building, you will be close to everything you want to do. The complex is quiet and luxurious, featuring 2 pools, Jacuzzi, BBQ area and tennis courts, and tropical grounds capturing an authentic Hawaiian spirit.

Your comfort is our highest priority. This is a true TWO bedroom upstairs unit with a loft. The loft bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and can be completely closed off with shutters for ultimate privacy and tranquility. Both bedrooms feature King sized beds with high end linens, private lanais and individual AC units - truly King Suites! There is also a queen sized fold out couch in the large living area. The high efficiency split AC system will keep you cool. If you prefer a more natural island experience, each room has a ceiling fan and windows to enjoy the trade winds. A fully-stocked kitchen featuring granite counter tops and cherry cabinets awaits you with all you may need. Impeccably furnished with comfortable, high-end furnishings. A washer and dryer in the unit contribute to the convenience of your stay and high-speed wireless internet is at your fingertips just waiting for your laptop or IPad! The unit is stocked with extras to make your vacation special. There are beach chairs, an umbrella and cooler for the beach, card and board games if you just want to sit back and relax in the condo. Maui Kamaole is in a fantastic location, within steps of beautiful beaches, Kamaole Beach Park III and Keawekapu Beach. World famous golf courses and more amazing beaches are just down the road! This unit is on the 2nd floor, with no elevator access.

Super location, nice condo

You're a short walk from the beach, and not too much farther from dining and shopping on S. Kihei Rd. in this nice condo. There are 2 lovely swimming pools in the complex too. Best for 4 people but there's a sofabed so you can house 6 if everybody's friendly. Highly recommended.

The only downfall is that they don’t let you know that you get charged for electricity usage. It wasn’t in the agreement. But overall it was a good place to take your family.

Small condo, good location

The condo felt a little small compared to other places we have stayed in, but the location is good. It is a busy part of Maui but the condo was far enough from busy road that it was quiet. The A/C units worked OK, not great, and the upstairs bedroom was a little hot. Two lovely beaches within walking distance was a plus. Great snorkeling and wonderful sunsets. Excellent supply of beach gear. Adequate supply of kitchen supplies but no trash bags. That's not something you want to go shopping for on your vacation.

Spacious condo with a view

This condo is in a large, well kept and beautiful complex with rolling lawns, huge old trees and flowers everywhere. Our unit had ocean views from our large deck and nice breezes through the big sliders. The complex was quiet and convenient to the beach and to town. This condo was spacious and has 2 large bedrooms and a pull out couch bed and a bathroom on both floors. The kitchen is well equipped. Kirstin and the management team were very responsive to our concerns and needs which we appreciated. This unit requires access by stairs and there is a steep staircase to the upstairs bedroom and bath. The carpet needs to be ripped out and replaced with tile or wood. Nice experience in Maui and we felt very safe as 2 older women on our own.

We found the condo bright and clean when we arrived! Everything was in good working order (the dishwasher door could use a little attention, it falls to far open and the rack rolls out!). There is lots of dishes, flatware and utensils if you are entertaining or have a large family. A few tupperware or storage containers would be nice, seems there are lids with no containers but with a rental I'm sure they disappear quickly. The beach chairs, coolers, beach towels etc. were a plus. The A/C seemed to cool the unit right down when we returned in the hot afternoons! In the evening we just had the slider open wide and the breeze came in nicely! We loved sitting on the lanai to watch the beautiful Maui sunsets in the evening. We will come again!

Everything You Need for A Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Maui Kamaole condo. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay fun, enjoyable and comfortable- from bathroom necessities, kitchenware and appliances (they had a rice cooker!) and some cooking ingredients, to beach gear like chairs, coolers and umbrellas. We were also located a short walk from the heated pool and a short drive to beaches. We also had a dedicated parking spot right in front of the unit. I would recommend the space to family and friends for future stays, and I would stay there again as well. However there were a few minor things that I think could be addressed for the property to go from great to excellent, and I did inform the property management group after our stay. They thanked me for my input. 1) The faucet in the kitchen- needs some tightening and adjustment. It took a while to figure out how to get cold water out. We had to move faucet handle awkwardly away from the sink towards the living room to get cold water. 2) One of the coolers (red and white) does not stay shut. We were able to use it, but we needed to be sure to hold it a certain way, so contents would not spill out while in use. 3) One of the guests with me used the pullout sofa, however there was no extra blanket/comforter for this person. We used two sheets instead, and that seemed to work well, but it would have been a nice option to have. We did find the extra pillows in the master closet though. 4) Some of the items in the cupboards were not fully washed/cleaned. There were dried on foods on plates, bowls, and utensils. I normally wash kitchen items in rental properties prior to my use anyways, so I did not have issues with washing items, but future guests might. I was able to use the sponge and soap they provided to clean them up, so that was fixed fast. I understand that some of my points above are super nitpicking, so I do want to reiterate that we fully enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.

Nice stay in South Kihei

Reviewer Comments: Overall we were grateful for the great location of this condo, located easily off South Kihei and close to some of our favorite snorkeling spots. The condo was clean and we loved the downstairs lanai and the bbqs as that was our main way of eating while on island. The AC worked great. The kitchen appliances were all nice as were the washer and dryer. The neighbors were very kind and we also enjoyed the pool. Mornings drinking coffee and listening to the birds as the sun came up was a highlight of our trip. Now for the dislikes, the mattress upstairs was pretty uncomfortable to the point that it affected our sleep over our 14 day stay. The upstairs shower is in need of an update or at least a new shower head as it was not comfortable and it was very dark so additional lighting would make it much better in there. The knives in the kitchen were pretty unsafe to use due to having little to no edge with no way to sharpen them. It made cutting our pineapples interesting. We loved staying here overall though and would recommend it especially if those couple of updates are made. Mahalo for making our return visit to Maui a great one.

I also appreciated the quick & kind responses to any messages & questions I sent.One thing to note: when I booked the property, the photos showed a canopy over the main lanai. I learned after arriving - & then asked about it - that it broke & was removed. It was a selling point for me & I was disappointed to not use the lanai as much as anticipated. Also, the outdoor light for that lanai did not work. My husband determined it was a burned out bulb which he simply replaced. (I notified the property management & they thanked me for letting them know.) The smaller bedroom lanais were shaded with wood-slatted angled roofs but did not appear to have been cleaned as well as the main lanai. We refrained from using them. Also, the first floor bathroom sink drained slowly.Check the filter in the Brita water pitcher before using. We unpleasantly discovered it needed replacing & chose not to use it. Tap water was fine.The actual beds were very comfortable! The pull out sofa bed was squeaky so if someone tosses & turns, you may want ear plugs if you are sleeping on the sofa or in the upstairs bedroom. Some of the sofa bed springs were exposed but was tolerable with an extra blanket/pillow placed over them. This won't be an issue though if not folding out the sofa to use the mattress. When folded up, the sofa was comfy.Overall, management was friendly, generous, & accomodating when I asked about early check-in & about an additional visitor after having booked the stay. Much appreciated!Even with the small glitches, I would recommend this property. The property management did seem to genuinely care about the user's experience. I wouldn't expect them to know the issues we had if not staying themselves or being informed. Lovely grounds & short walk to Kamaole 3 beach which was fantastic! Saw so many sea turtles & the Wednesday weekly craft fair across the street from the beach

What makes this property unique

There are many fantastic aspects to this property; the large expansive grassy areas, park-like setting, large units with private lanais, two swimming pools, tennis courts and so much more! The location feels somewhat separated from 'Kihei Town' in that it is a little more private and not on top of other complexes. You feel more like you are in the resort community of Wailea, but directly across from the Kihei boat ramp!
