About this property
Sumptuous town house in central St. Andrews - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
Wilson House provides a very comfortable, beautifully decorated central base and is located near St Andrews' West Port. It is a south facing compact town house.
This is a perfect house for 4 but we can sleep up to 5. The kitchen table can extend to seat 5 but is best as a smaller rounder table for 4 as you have more room in the kitchen. If you are a family of 5 with children then you will all fit in fine. Most groups tend to be of 3 or 4 adults as we have 1 twin room, 1 king room and a small single room.
The house is on two levels and has a small courtyard with table and chairs for smokers or barbecuers.
On the ground floor you have the kitchen/diner with washer/dryer and then a twin bedded room with en suite shower room.
Upstairs you have a small single bedroom next to the King (UK King is 5ft wide) bedroom, the sitting room and a further shower room shared by the single and the king room. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating and heated towel rails. Please note, these stairs are relatively steep - so bear that in mind if you have a group incorporating the older and younger age groups.
The house is a traditional town house, full of character with varying door heights and widths. We have free wi-fi and Sky TV upstairs in the sitting room and downstairs in the kitchen. Travel cot (bring own bedding), baby bath, and high chair available if requested/booked in advance.
Parking - If you are lucky you can get parked for free opposite the property but it should be noted that parking is available in the 2 Argyle Street car parks very close to the property - £3.80 per day or you can park nearer the tennis courts for free. Argyle Street car parks have EV charging points.
It is only one minute’s walk from St. Andrews' West Port. On arriving at the West Port you will instantly be amongst the bustle of the shops, bars and cafes of this lively university town. The flat is about 5-10 minutes walk from the first hole of The Old Course and because of its location all parts of town are easily accessible on foot. A minute or two in the opposite direction of the West Port you will find the Lade Braes which offers leafy walks beside the Kinness Burn.

About the host
Hosted by Suki Stobbs

We are both from Fife and my husband Tim was born and brought up in St. Andrews. I was a student here so we both know the town very well. Tim is in charge of all the maintenance and gardening and Suki runs the bookings. If you would like to meet up with either of us to help orientate you one of us is usually in town and would be delighted to organise a visit. We own 3 superb holiday houses in central St. Andrews and are keen golfers so are happy to answer any golf related questions visitors might have. We have this property along with a 1 bedroom property and a 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom property with terrace, veranda and garden. We also showcase on VRBO our rural cottages in Perthshire.
Why they chose this property
Tim's family owned and operated a soft drinks brewery called Wilson & Co located behind this property. In the 1980s the brewery became flats and this house, the lemonade maker's house was sold. We bought it back a few years ago to create a luxury townhouse which we have named Wilson House in honour of the past. You will see the old lemonade and ginger beer bottles displayed in the kitchen and sitting room.
What makes this property unique
Being an old house you will find some doorways are wider and taller than others which adds a bit of character, it is not a new build. You will enjoy its central location, its beautifully designed interior and its comfort.
