A lovely spot for a quiet “couple’s retreat” or a relaxing "girls' getaway". The main floor of this bright, comfortable house is the perfect base for your stay in "The County". It's on a quiet one-way street a block from Picton's downtown. (The well-appointed kitchen, central location and 7-day discount make it great for weekly stays.)

The apartment is ideal for 1 or 2 adults and spacious enough for another couple if you use the comfortable and private sofa bed. A nice space for a small dinner party if not for a more boisterous gathering. You can walk to the centre of town in five minutes and browse the shops, restaurants, art galleries, the Regent Theater and more. You’ll find the well designed, well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. After dinner, you can stream free movies and shows on Prime, Netflix or Roku (sorry - no satellite or cable). If you want to read, talk, play a game or just relax, the sitting room is the perfect place. The bathroom is spacious and pretty with good water pressure, a rain shower/deep tub and clean, line-dried towels. The bedroom is cozy with a very comfortable queen-sized bed and clean, cotton percale sheets (also line-dried). The sofa bed in the TV room is private and also comfortable if you have guests or friends staying. You'll be happy you booked with us and you'll be back!

It's all scent-free and I operate it in an environmentally conscious way.

NOTE – I love dogs but I need to know about yours at time of booking (The rules say small well-behaved and non-shedding but I’m known for my flexibility so let’s talk.)

Very Nice PEC vacation

Great location. Her property was very clean and spacious for the two of us. We could walk to shops and restaurants. Megan provided us with free passes to the provincial parks and beaches and restaurant recommendations.

Amazing!!

The home was perfect for my sister and I for a get-a-way weekend. The neighbourhood is walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. Megan is a fantastic host and we look forward to staying again.

Once again a perfect stay

We had a wonderful time at Megan's beautiful home. It is in a perfect location and the house is nicely decorated. We loved coffees on the front porch in the mornings. Megan gave us lots of good recommendations that enhanced our stay. We will return again.

Lovely

The house was nicer then I was expecting. It was spacious, clean and had lots of feelings of home. We would definitely stay there again. Only suggestion is a better wine opener and maybe some cooking oil would be a nice touch.

What a wonderful location and house!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. I loved the decor in the house. Very welcoming and homey Like to have stayed longer.

Megan has everything that is need for a comfortable stay as we did for two weeks. It is a very good location to use as a home base, close to everything and central to able us to drive each day to see and appreciate the beauty of County. Megan is a very nice host and is there if you need her assistance. We will be back Maddy and Gerry Bryan.

Great stay-with dogs!

Megan’s place was perfect for us and our 2 non-shedding dogs. It was clean, very cutely decorated and had plenty of space. Lots of doors & windows meant a nice cross breeze at all times. Located 1 block behind Main Street in Picton meant it was an easy walk to whatever we wanted in town yet was still very quiet both day and night. We made use of the Park Pass each day we were there-how could we not! The beaches at Sandbanks are so beautiful. Megan was very easy to reach both before and during our stay and was very welcoming. We had a lovely weekend in June, before the heavy tourist season gets going. We will definitely come back! Thanks for sharing your beautiful property Megan!

Lovely spot for a girl's weekend

Megan's house was the perfect spot for my friend and I to enjoy a weekend getaway in PEC. The house is immaculate and yet cozy, with interesting decor, and everything you need to be comfortable. There is lovely green space right out back for walking, and it's also a five minute walk to downtown Picton. We were well situated to explore all of PEC but also to just stay put, having a glass of wine on the front porch or enjoying the kitchen for cooking and eating! Megan was very quick to respond to every and all request. We would love to return for our annual getaway next year.

A Pefect Picton Getaway

My husband I loved our stay n this home away from home. Lucky for us our usual places to stay were closed for the month of January so I decided to explore HomeAway and found this perfect place. The home is welcoming and a great place to relax and read your favourite book. The house is very well kept and very clean and if you are like me and allergic to scents you really appreciate Megan’s use of unscented products. It is clear she takes pride in her home and wants to ensure guests enjoy their stay and we did. She is also only a text away and for the couple of the times we had a question she responded with in minutes. Would we recommend this place ....without hesitation. In fact before we left we booked our stay this summer.

Long needed comfortable town retreat

Imagine you live in a wonderfully spacious single level apartment in Picton. You’ve curated a lovely art collection and aesthetic for beautiful and comfortable furniture. You have a country bedroom that’s simple, clean, well laid out and you’ve sprung some comfort in the bathroom for some excellent water pressure with a overhead and wall mounted shower. Some surprising perks. The location is quiet yet still busy and active and you can walk to the coffee shop (Beacon) or have a night out at a restaurant. There is are nearby shops worth your attention and if you are inclined three phenomenal breweries nearby - special mention to Parsons, all my friends and Matron which also had the honor of an incredible outdoor kitchen. You can laze about at your new (temporary) home reading on the couch or head out to the vintage shops and stop in at Hendricks BBQ for an afternoon lunch, you’ll likely swing by again for some potato salad before you head home. You’ll park back at (home) and when you get in you can make dinner for yourself or for your group in a kitchen with a gas oven and enough amenities to set you at ease. An island counter or the nearby dining room table to be social and wind down. If that sounds right to you that sounds about right with our stay at Megan’s.

Lucky to have found this gem!

We just returned from our stay at Megan's adorable, wonderfully bright, and spotlessly clean house. There were three of us, and this little house was more than enough room for us. The price is very reasonable, especially considering it's excellent location and how well equipped it is with everything you need. Beyond that, you can tell that a lot of love has been put into this place, which makes it feel very much like a home. Megan was so helpful as we tried to figure out the dates for our stay, and all the particulars about price, sleeping arrangements etc...Many emails went back and forth and Megan was never anything but kind and accommodating. The place is so sweet, but not at all cramped. There is one bedroom - super cozy!- and a very comfortable pull out couch in a good sized living room. We cooked up a big meal on friday night and the kitchen had everything you would need. The bathroom is clean as a whistle, and the rain shower is heavenly. Megan lives downstairs and made it known that we could call on her whenever needed - but as it turns out we didn't need to because she has already thought of everything! She was very respectful of our privacy and we really didn't hear a thing from downstairs (she has two dogs but they must be very quiet - you wouldn't know they were there). This was my first time to Prince Edward County and I am so happy that we made Megan's place the base for our county explorations. I really didn't want to leave! I can only imagine how gorgeous the place is when the front garden is in bloom. Thank you Megan! We will be back.

Bien situé, distance a pied du centre ville de picton, 20 minutes en auto des plages. On a tout ce dont on a besoin dans la maison. Lit très confortable et tres propre. Nous avons passé un beau séjour a cet endroit! Merci ! :)
