Relax and linger at our newly remodeled cottage on Lingerlong Lane in lovely Brevard! The cottage is conveniently located, just .3 miles from the visitor center in downtown Brevard! Walk to downtown restaurants, galleries and shops. We are also a short drive away from the Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State park and lots of hiking, biking and waterfalls. In addition to the outdoor activities, we are walking distance to Brevard College and 3 miles from the Brevard Music Center. Whether you are visiting for outdoor activities, music, art or our local breweries Lingerlong cottage is perfect place for your home base.With 2 bedrooms, we can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. Bedroom # 1 has a queen sized bed and bedroom #2 has bunk beds. The front porch is a great spot to relax after a busy day, or enjoy coffee in the morning while listening to the birds sing. We also provide a dry secure place for your bikes a bike stand to work on them and a garden hose for washing off that dirt or mud. We have another larger 2 bedroom House next door, Lingerlong House and another 5 bedroom home if you are looking to host a family retreat or friends get together check out Lingerlong.Lingerlong Lane is a very unique compound of homes.

The property was just as expected. Check in and check out was a breeze. Location is fabulous. Close enough to walk to dinner but far enough away from town that you feel very remote. Property shares a driveway with several other properties but still feels very private. We have stayed in another house on the property before and would certainly stay here again. House is small and could be tight for more than 2 adults. 2 adults and 2 kids would be fine but 4 adults would be snug!

Lovely mountain getaway

This property is charming and well maintained. It is just as promised in the description and has all the amenities for a delightful stay. The location is close to town but has a private feel because of the property size. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

Great property! Short drive/walk to downtown Brevard, but still quiet and secluded. Kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans, and utensils. The bed in the main bedroom was really comfortable. Favorite part was the big screened porch, which was great for relaxing in the evenings.

Park like setting yet minutes from downtown. Cottage was clean, and as shown in photos except for the master queen bed was set aside one wall allowing only one side to enter and exit.

Cabin in town but in the woods

Very clean smallish cabin with comfortable bed and kind host. In town, yet we had deer and an abundance of white squirrels right outside the porch. Enjoyed the porch a lot. Felt like you were out in the woods despite being so close to town.

Cozy and comfortable

Lingerlong Cottage is handy to downtown Brevard. The grounds are very attractive. The cottage is simple, uncluttered and attractively decorated. We were able to cook a spaghetti dinner and breakfasts for four pretty easily. Very thoughtfully arranged and furnished.

Mountain Bike Basecamp

Stayed at this quaint property for a short mountain bike excursion to Brevard. Located not far from downtown, and just a short drive to Pisgah and Dupont trails. Owner has everything laid out for mountain bike storage and cleaning. Would stay here again for another mountain bike trip.

Lingerlong cottage

Nice and quiet cabin . 2 bed, 1 bath with small kitchen and small college type fridge. Recommend ceiling fans or oscillating floor fans . Need bigger fridge but prolly no where to put it. Saw lots of white squirrels……… a real treat !.

Great Cottage!

We just had a wonderful 2 night stay at Mike’s cottage in Brevard. We were there to drop our two daughters off at camp and the cottage was perfect for our needs. There was plenty of room for our family of four and the cottage has been beautifully remodeled and was incredibly clean. We enjoyed walking to town to meet up with camp friends, running last minute errands and having a great dinner out at the Square Root. On our second night we cooked in and found everything we needed in the kitchen to have a great meal. We especially loved the screened porch as it was a great place to be during an afternoon rain storm and in the evenings. I would definitely stay here again and hope to do so but only longer. You cannot beat the location and you can tell that a lot of thought and time has gone into making the cottage and property a special place!

We were a bit concerned when we arrived but later found the #52 cabin very comfortable for us and our pup. We hope we can use it again next year for a longer stay. We enjoyed meeting our neighbors too!Suggestions: A small supply of toilet paper would have been helpful. Creating a way to get into the queen bed in that small bedroom would also help. You might consider changing from a queen to a double for that very small bedroom. We still thought it was a good place for us and our pup for 3 nights when we left today.Sion Bell 7/11/25

Great location, great property

We loved this property! What a great location and facility for a mountain-forest getaway. Not only was the property spotless and cozy, but the screened-in porch was perfect for morning coffee with birdsong and a place to put our feet up and listen to the rain on the metal roof when we came back from a full day's hiking adventure. The property is only a short drive for downtown Brevard, but we actually preferred walking. All-around great vacation property.

Great location, beautiful space

Love this place and will certainly return. Property is quiet and peaceful, but a very short walk from the center of Brevard. Perfect for walking to dinner after a day on the bike. Interior looks recently renovated with charm but many modern touches. Loved the space.

Cozy Cottage

The cabin is cozy (600 sq ft) Fine for two but would not want to try it with more people. VERY clean with comfortable beds and furnishings. Kitchen area is doable for a long weekend ( “Dorm” size fridge, no oven, two burner cooktop) but not if you are planning to do any real cooking. Porch was GREAT, property located in wonderful location- well manicured-Very peaceful given proximity to road- easily walk to town- sidewalks the whole way. Host very responsive to communications. Would definitely recommend

Together they enjoy hiking, the beach, and traveling. Mike, Mel, Molly and Grace love to travel to Southern Costa Rica and will soon have two more short term rental options in Costa Rica.

Mike is a full-time licensed real estate professional in North and South Carolina, a licensed general contractor, and one of the top-selling real estate agents in the area. He is an eco-certified broker and, more importantly, the only Transylvania County, NC real estate broker who has built his own solar-powered home! Mike designed and built his off-the-grid home in Lake Toxaway using mainly refurbished materials with an eye for conservation and sustainability. Nestled on the mountainside, the sleek, airy home runs completely off solar panels, well water, a high-efficiency wood stove, and propane. Mike has also saved more distressed Brevard homes than any other person, including the beautiful Linger long Cottages in downtown. But when you meet him, you’ll need to ask about them, because he’s not one to brag. Oh, and did you happen to catch Mike on HGTV’s House Hunters? He helped showcase Brevard to the world!
