Welcome to Highcliffe Lodge — a one-of-a-kind luxury retreat in Vail where the rugged spirit of Yellowstone meets the timeless elegance of a Ralph Lauren mountain lodge. The Experience
Highcliffe is more than a place to stay—it’s where mountain magic happens. Unwind in the Western mine-shaft-inspired private cinema (with 8K projection and Dolby Atmos sound), gather around the oversized moss rock firepit, or soak in the hot tub beneath the stars. Enjoy sunrise yoga on the balconies, sip wine at sunset from the dramatic stone belvederes, or retreat inside for board games, a movie night, or fireside storytelling. The home is ideal for multi-generational family gatherings, milestone celebrations, or serene couple getaways.
The Home
Thoughtfully designed to sleep 12 adults in true comfort, Highcliffe offers five bedrooms, each uniquely themed with Old Hickory furnishings, luxury Shifman mattresses, SONY 4K TVs, large windows with mountain views, and ample storage. The layout supports privacy and connection, with three main bedrooms featuring king or queen beds and lofted spaces, and two additional rooms ideal for singles and teens. Bathrooms include Molton Brown of London toiletries, plush towels, steam shower, and high-end hairdryers.
Arrive to Luxury
From the moment you step inside, you’re fully cared for. Linens are professionally laundered and pressed. The chef’s kitchen is fully equipped for memorable meals—or elevate your experience with an on-demand private chef. A wet bar and spacious dining areas make hosting effortless.
The Grounds
Explore your private acre of curated perennial gardens, natural stone patios, a summer waterfall, mature aspens, ancient boulders, and a meandering masonry path up Highcliffe Mountain to three breathtaking stone terraces that overlook the Vail Valley and National Forest.
For Winter Guests

About the host
Hosted by Adam Bersin
Purchased the native land in 2014, design and construction took two years. Currently live Manalapan Point, Palm Beach FL. No expense spared in design and fixtures, completely over the top, and an inspired project that our family and clients adore.
We fell in love with the convenient neighborhood location and land due to its immense size (nearly an acre), privacy, stunning topography, ancient aspen groves and boulders, and tremendous Gore Range views.
Highcliffe is also the true log home built in Vail in the past 30 years. We chose enormous fully-scribed Engleman spruce and lodgepole pine logs from Montana and Wyoming with fascinating character features including cat eyes, burls, and other amazing imperfections, creating a massive, rich feel. Stone used in patios, flooring and fireplaces was quarried in Colorado and New Mexico and includes moss rock and limestone. Ironwork was custom designed, and forged in Craig, Colorado by a master. The main furnishings were hand made in Buena Vista, CO and feature Ralph Lauren fabrics, buffalo hide, and various fine leathers and other furs. Navajo rugs throughout Highcliffe are authentic and feature traditional Navajo design motifs, including Yei, Two Grey Hills, Eye Dazzler, Germantown, and Teec Nos Pos. Tastefully incorporated taxidermy includes buck, moose, bobcat, raccoon and mallard, and antique design pieces are American Western, and European black forest. Highcliffe is iconic in its presence and ambiance, quality of finishes, attention to detail, and reputation, and we hope you will enjoy an amazing mountain adventure with us.

Why they chose this property
The beautiful acre of land was one of the last virgin parcels in Vail, and has outstanding views of the Gore Mountain Range and abuts the White Forest National Park to the rear. Most importantly, it sits on a charming residential street with Gore Creek a one-minute walk away, offering nearby white water rafting trips, fly fishing, and nature hiking trails. A fantastic waterfall hike begins only 500 feet away!
Attention was paid to incorporating indigenous stone and artwork to represent the Rocky Mountains and their splendor. We love the hustle and Internationality of Vail Village and its many outstanding restaurants and shops, great skiing, fairs and festivals. We sought a location offering easy and quick access to the Village, yet private and exclusive. It was important that the location allowed for our then-early teenage children to easily bike, walk or take the free bus to Vail Village.

What makes this property unique
Privacy, location, and a truly enchanting environment. Plenty of yard space featuring private nature paths and an antique wagon. Private mountain in the backyard, with trails and an observatory. Amazing views, and plenty of wildlife (eagles, hummingbirds, foxes, raccoons, marmots, and chipmunks). Plenty of decks and balconies to enjoy the fresh air and al fresco dining. A Mountain lodge in Vail, luxuriously decorated and appointed in Ritz Carlton, Bachelor Gulch style, with its own state-of-the-art private movie theater and mountain!
