Western soul. Serious luxury. An amazing private cinema. Hot tub. Firepit. Your own Solaris garage. And a private mountain in the backyard. Welcome to Highcliffe Lodge.
Set on a private acre just minutes from Vail Village, Highcliffe is anything but an ordinary mountain rental. Think Yellowstone meets Ralph Lauren, with a little Hollywood thrown in. Massive hand-crafted logs, Colorado stone, soaring windows, roaring fireplaces, spectacular Gore Range views, and Western-inspired interiors create a place that feels both wildly authentic and wonderfully indulgent.
And then there’s the fun. Highcliffe has the kind of amenities that make everyone want to stay home: an incredible private cinema carved into a Western mine-shaft-inspired space, complete with 8K projection and Dolby Atmos sound; a separate game room with billiards, ping pong and foosball; an oversized moss-rock firepit; a hot tub beneath the stars adjacent to a whimsical tumbling waterfall fountain feature, and multiple terraces affirsing total privacy and amazing vast mountain and Vail valley views, made for morning coffee, sunset cocktail, nature adoration and personal reflection!
Come for Vail. Stay for Highcliffe.
Highcliffe is only about five minutes from Vail Village, yet once you arrive, it feels like you've escaped somewhere completely private and wild.
The grounds are filled with mature aspens, gardens, giant natural boulders, stone patios and winding paths. Follow the masonry trail up the private mountain behind the house and discover three spectacular stone terraces overlooking the Vail Valley and National Forest.
They're perfect for sunrise yoga, afternoon lounging, sunset drinks—or doing absolutely nothing at all.
And yes, there's an antique wagon.
Because why not?
The Ultimate Movie Night
The private cinema may be one of Highcliffe's biggest surprises.
Inspired by an old Western mine shaft, the theater combines serious technology with serious atmosphere. 8K projection, Dolby Atmos surround sound and a uniquely immersive setting turn movie night into an event.
Grab some popcorn, pour a drink and settle in. You may discover that nobody wants to go to the movies in town anymore.
Room for the Whole Crew
Highcliffe comfortably sleeps up to 12 adults in five bedrooms, making it ideal for families, multi-generational vacations, ski groups, milestone celebrations and friends who want to travel together without feeling like they're on top of one another.
The bedrooms are individually styled with Old Hickory furnishings, luxury Shifman mattresses, SONY 4K TVs, large windows and generous storage.
Three primary bedrooms feature king or queen beds and lofted spaces, while two additional bedrooms are especially great for children, teens or singles.
Bathrooms are finished with plush towels, Molton Brown toiletries, a steam shower and high-quality hairdryers.
The chef's kitchen has everything you need for everything from pancakes in pajamas to a full-on dinner party. A wet bar, generous dining spaces and multiple living areas make it just as easy to spread out as it is to gather around the fire.
And if you'd rather let someone else do the cooking, a private chef can be arranged.
Outside Is Pretty Spectacular, Too
Highcliffe's one-acre setting is a destination in itself.
Explore the private paths. Wander through the aspens. Find the waterfall. Climb the mountain. Stretch out on a stone terrace. Soak in the hot tub. Fire up the firepit. Watch the stars.
Or simply grab a glass of wine and watch the mountains change color as the sun goes down.
The Gore Range is right there doing what the Gore Range does best.
Winter? Bring It On.
Skiing is easy from Highcliffe.
Your complimentary Solaris garage parking space puts you right in the heart of Vail Village, and our family-owned ski rental partner is conveniently located next to Gondola One. They can store rental or personal equipment slope-side, so your skis can be waiting for you when you arrive.
Back at Highcliffe, ski racks, boot warmers and clothing warmers take the sting out of coming home after a big powder day.
Then it's hot tub, firepit, dinner and cinema.
That's a pretty good ski day.
Vail Is Right Outside the Door
When you're ready to explore, you're minutes from Vail's legendary restaurants, shopping, skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and endless mountain adventures.
Gore Creek and nearby East Vail trails offer even more opportunities to get outside, while the East Vail Racquet Club offers tennis, a heated pool, indoor gym and coffee shop for a nominal daily fee.
But here's the catch:
You may not want to leave.
Highcliffe has a rare quality that's difficult to create—and nearly impossible to replicate. It doesn't simply give you a beautiful place to sleep. It gives your group a place to hang out, reconnect, laugh, play, relax and make memories.
Come to Vail for the mountains.
Come to Highcliffe for the experience.

Excellent lodge for my group of 6 on an annual guys trip. This place is perfect for 6 guys or 6 couples. Immaculate home, high-end finishes, extremely clean, great hot tub and firepit for apres, pool table and gameroom, theatre. Quick walk to Vail bus route in the morning, or use the Solaris parking pass. Easy access and great host communication. Hope to rent this place again!
Highcliffe Cabin - Five StarsWe just got back from a stay at the Highcliffe Cabin and it exceeded every expectation. This place truly had everything. The home theater room was a standout, with reclining chairs so comfortable we had a hard time getting up. The backyard is a nature lover's dream, and the front porch was the perfect spot to relax and watch a thunderstorm roll through. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the location made it fast and easy to get into town for anything we forgot. We also made great use of the hot tub, which was a wonderful way to unwind each evening. There was never a dull moment. Between the billiards table, games, and incredible star gazing at night, we always had something to do.Every single day we found ourselves commenting on something incredible about the cabin. The craftsmanship and attention to detail on the logs and throughout the house is remarkable. It genuinely leaves you wondering how they built it.This was one of the most relaxing getaways we have had, and it was hard to leave. We cannot recommend the Highcliffe Cabin enough and will absolutely be back.
We had the most fantastic stay! With little snow, it was so incredible to have this house with all the amenities, space, hot tub, game “garage” and most importantly, the movie room for March Madness. Adam was so attentive to all our questions, and so gracious. We absolutely loved our stay, and that is saying a lot being in Vail with very little snow. Easy drive to Vail village and the bus stop was extremely navigable. Highly recommend!!! Stunning property…
Highcliffe was one on the best properties I've stayed at anywhere in CO. Great location (easy access to mountain on the bus), and Adam was a fantastic and super responsive host.
Adam was such a great host! This home is absolutely beautiful and worth the stay! Roomy, cozy, and such a relaxing vibe! We loved every bit of this property and will likely rebook if we return to Vail.
This was the perfect location for our family group of 11 in Vail - incredible house, extremely responsive host, excellent ski logistics. Highly recommend for any group.
The house and location were everything I could have wished for and more! The home was beautiful and had everything we needed to make our family holiday a special one! The location couldn't have been better as well. I really can't say enough about this special home. Can not wait to come back! Thank you, Adam!Angie Bird & family
Absolutely amazing house and vacation!! There is nothing I can say that we needed while staying at this house! The house was beautiful and stocked with everything you will need for a great vacation! Communication was great with Adam!
Thanks again!!!
Quality, beauty and had all the essentials to an amazing stay. We also received several tips on ski rentals, lift passes, groceries, and restaurants. We had an extended family trip. Loved cooking in the kitchen, great hot tub and the teens loved the game/movie room. The kitchen was a welcoming place for the adults to have great conversation/drinks.
This location had the very best of everything from quality linens to game room to media room to board games to being located on a hiking trail down a beautiful creek. Located 5 mins from the best Vail has to offer to 40 mins from EGE. Our family enjoyed pool, foosball, ping pong, movies in media room, bike rides, horseback rides, Symphony at Bravo Vail, and high altitude golf. Perfect home away from home for us to make
Memories!
This house was perfect and we lacked for nothing!
Communication with Adam was great and the location couldn’t be better! We were celebrating or 50th Wedding anniversary with the entire family from ages 3-73! Great places to gather and enjoy the fabulous views and splendid weather! We want to book again! Thank you Adam for sharing your house with us!
Highcliffe Lodge is a luxurious home base from which to explore the splendors of Colorado! The lodge had spectacular views, a secluded feel, and access to a wide variety of activities, from hiking trails for all levels to zip line and rafting adventures, all of which we took advantage of.
For less active days, nearby Vail Village and Frisco offered great restaurants and shopping. The lodge also was well appointed with games and a theater and lots of outdoor space to relax.
We had a great family trip thanks to our gracious host and his AMAZING home! We would love to visit again in winter.
Everything about our stay was absolutely incredible. The property is even more beautiful than the photos online appear, the location is outstanding (less than 5 minutes from the village), Adam is the best host I have ever booked with, and he even has a parking pass for a garage right in the middle of the village! Everything was pristine when we arrived and this was hands down the best trip we have done to date (8 years and counting). I could not recommend this property and Adam highly enough!
Thank you for everything, Adam!
Highcliffe Lodge is a very beautifully decorated, handsome, charming, cozy and well built home full of personal details that address your every need. With lots of fun rooms for entertainment including a theatre and games, you won’t want to leave home except for skiing and shopping in Vail which is very close by. We had a two foot snow storm sweep through on our visit and the trip became magical. We had seven people in our group and fit very comfortably. You will feel very grateful for your stay and sorry to be saying goodbye as you pull away at the end of your stay.
The house was a perfect compliment to our vacation. It is a beautiful upscale mountain home that really sets the tone for a luxury ski vacation. The location is very close to Vail village and also the perfect location to allow us to ski Vail, Beaver Creek and Breckenridge due to the close proximity to all three mountains. Adam the owner was extremely hospitable and available if we needed anything. The house has all the luxury accommodations including a movie theater, garage game room, large hot tub, chefs kitchen and more. We loved the mattress so much in the main floor master bedroom that we ordered one for our home. Can’t recommend this property enough. We will most definitely be back.
We have had an amazing time in this house, we spent our vacation holiday in Vail and was fantastic. We love the lodge, everything in it is great.
We hope to be back soon…… We are a family of 10 people, and the lodge works perfect for my group, the jacuzzi, the home theater, the steam bath, the bar and of course the rooms and common areas was incredible. Great value to have a card to use as much as you want at the Solaris parking in Vail Village, just 4 minutes from the house by car, if you are thinking to rent this lodge, do it now you can not loose this property. On the other hand, the communication with Adam was impressive, he was always on line. With no doubt you must go to the Highcliiff Lodge.
My husband, our three young kids and our best friends and their three young kids had the trip of a lifetime while staying in this epic log cabin! The home is meticulously and perfectly designed in every single room. Plenty of room for multiple families to be together or space out if needed. Whether you want to cozy up by the fire and stare out the window at the snow, or gather in the kitchen to cook a meal together, watch a movie in the one of a kind movie theater, play pool or ping pong in the heated garage, or freshen up in one of the many great bathrooms this home has you covered. Adam is the absolute best host we’ve ever worked with and keeps the home in perfect shape for every single guest. We all can’t wait to return and stay in this home again Next year.

About the host
Hosted by Adam Bersin
Highcliffe was a true labor of love. After purchasing the land in 2014, we spent two years designing and handcrafting what became one of Vail's most distinctive luxury log homes. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, with no expense spared, creating a mountain retreat our family and guests continue to cherish.
We chose this extraordinary property for its rare combination of privacy, nearly an acre of land, dramatic topography, ancient aspen groves, towering boulders, and breathtaking Gore Range views.
The only authentic handcrafted log home built in Vail in the past 30 years, Highcliffe features massive, fully scribed Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pine logs from Montana and Wyoming, rich Colorado and New Mexico stone, custom-forged ironwork, handcrafted furnishings upholstered in Ralph Lauren fabrics, authentic Navajo rugs, and carefully curated Western and European antiques. Every material was selected for its beauty, authenticity, and craftsmanship, creating an unforgettable mountain lodge with timeless character.
We hope you'll experience the warmth, beauty, and adventure that make Highcliffe so special.
Why they chose this property
Some places are built. Others are discovered.
Highcliffe sits on one of the last untouched acre-sized homesites in Vail, surrounded by ancient aspens, dramatic boulders, and sweeping Gore Range views. Backing directly onto White River National Forest, it feels wonderfully secluded—yet Vail Village is just five minutes away.
Walk one minute to Gore Creek for world-class fly fishing, whitewater rafting, or miles of scenic trails. A breathtaking waterfall hike begins just steps from your front door.
This is the rarest kind of mountain retreat: complete privacy without sacrificing convenience. Spend your days skiing, hiking, dining, and exploring the best of Vail, then return to the quiet beauty of your own private lodge.
At Highcliffe, the mountains aren't just the backdrop—they're part of the experience.
What makes this property unique
Highcliffe offers something few homes in Vail can: your own private mountain sanctuary.
Set on nearly an acre of pristine alpine landscape, the estate features private nature trails, an observatory, expansive yard, an antique wagon, and a mountainside that feels entirely your own. Watch eagles soar overhead, hummingbirds dart through the aspens, and foxes, marmots, and other wildlife wander past from the comfort of your deck.
Designed for unforgettable mountain living, Highcliffe offers multiple outdoor terraces for morning coffee, sunset cocktails, and al fresco dining—all framed by spectacular Gore Range views.
Inside, the experience is equally extraordinary. Inspired by the timeless elegance of the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, the home blends authentic mountain craftsmanship with world-class luxury, including a state-of-the-art private cinema. It's more than a vacation home—it's your own private mountain lodge unlike anything else in Vail.
