Beautiful fully furnished Luxury Cabin on 3 plus acres, located 25-30 minutes north of Beavers Bend on the Upper Mountain Fork River in the Kiamichi Mountains. Come relax in the hot tub and enjoy the peace and quite this fully furnished cabin offers. Deer Run is a 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin with beautiful hand made aspen log beds. Bedroom # 1 offers a King Log bed, bedroom 2 & 3 both have beautiful Queen Log beds. Large living room with Satellite (Direct TV) and Blue Ray DVD Player with 100's of movies and surround sound. Upgraded Super Fast Fiber Optic Wifi (added January 2025) for those who must work remotely from the cabin or for streaming needs. Smart TV's for streaming your favorite apps in each bedroom. Utility room has full size Washer and Dryer. The Large back deck with River view is a great place to sit and listen to the river flow and watch the stars & wildlife. Smoker/Grill for those who wish to cook outdoors. Bring your marsh mellows and enjoy the fire pit under the stars. Fire wood is provided. Large front porch over looks a beautifully manicured property to relax and watch wildlife. Deer, foxes, squirrels, hummingbirds and a occasional black bear are home to the area. Private access to the Mountain fork river is just minutes away where you can enjoy fishing, swimming and kayaking. Kayaks, paddles and life vest are available during season, and are subject to unavailability during inclement weather, high or rising river levels and cold temperatures.

For off property entertainment, Deer Run is centrally located about 25-30 minutes from Hochatown where guests can find unlimited options and activities. Visit the Maze, Luxury putt putt, go carting, petting zoo, wineries, breweries, Lake Broken Bow, Beavers Bend State Park, horse back riding, restaurants, shopping, hiking, fishing and or even a trip to the brand new Choctaw Landing Casino, if you are feeling lucky!

Deer Run is also conveniently located only 25 miles from the Talimena Scenic Drive where guests can enjoy a beautiful drive along the Rich Mountains. Photography, hiking and a visit to Queen Wilhelmina State park are a must!

The property was great. Everything was perfect and as listed. The owners were very responsive and quick to put any of our concerns aside. I 100% would stay in this cabin again. We were here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was centrally located between Mena’s Wolf Pen Gap’s trails and Hochatown’s many attractions. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Great place. Clean with a beautiful view..grill..hot tub was perfect. Fire pit..swing near by. The only draw back for me is the beds were to tall for me to get in..need to consider stepstools for people 5 ft and under

We had a lovely family getaway at deer run cabin. This property is kept very well. You can tell the owners put a lot of hard work into the property. My only advice to you is make sure you travel in during the day because it is hard to see the cabin signs at night.

Summer trip

Very relaxing cabin. We enjoyed the back yard & the games that they provided. The bench in the trees is so nice in the mornings while enjoying coffee. Very clean place. We are a family of 7. Kids 13,12,9,6,4 & there was plenty of bed space. 2 full baths so that was nice. Almost felt like home. Had everything we needed. Kayaks arent close by like it seemed like on the description but it’s maybe a 3 minute drive to them & completely worth it. It was one of our favorite things to do. Overall, would absolutely stay again. We want to go back when it’s colder so we can enjoy the hot tub & fire.

We did enjoy our stay. Since we usually stay using Vrbo, I like to review the positive and negative. The positive on this stay was the home. It was lovely. Very clean, and the host took care of all needed items to help make your stay comfortable. That being said, yes we would recommend the cabin. Two things that were disappointing: we thought there was easy water access to the river for canoeing and swimming at the cabin. Not sure where the pictures of the canoes were taken with the sloping, easy access, beach like area, but it is not the back yard of the cabin. The backyard has a pretty view of the river, but is on a hillside that you can’t access the water. The walk, or drive to the canoes wasn’t extreme, but the area where the canoes were kept was a disappointment. We chose not to canoe due to how awkward, deep,and narrow the area was in getting canoes into the water. Then getting bodies into the canoes in the deeper water. The adults in two different groups from other local cabin groups were like” nope, not happening.” So fishing, swimming, and canoeing at the cabin were all out. So, this meant we had to search out where these activities could be done. We found places around Broken Bow, but not knowing area and only having 3 days, they weren’t the best. Big disappointment in use of our time. The hiking in the area was enjoyable. The second thing that disappointed was the amount of chlorine in the hot tub was way too much.

A wonderful, easy to find luxury cabin. All amenities we needed (except there was no tea kettle but I just boiled water in a saucepan!). Very comfy beds and other furniture. The hot tub was so relaxing - we watched the sun go down from there every evening. Great, peaceful surroundings. Barking dogs nearby which were annoying but we could ignore them and they were far away enough that our dogs weren't upset. All in all a perfect experience

Amazing cabin!

We loved the place! A cozy cabin with all the amenities we needed. Beautiful property, comfortable beds, great kitchen and living space. The gas fireplace put out a lot of heat which was nice. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Great communication with the owners as well. We will definitely be back.

We are from Wylie Texas, have 2 children and one granddaughter. We love to get away and thought it was time to get our own cabin. Love the peace and quiet in the mountains. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle but yet not too far away. We now live locally in Smithville, Oklahoma and are only a few minutes away if you need anything during your stay!

Why they chose this property

We love the outdoors and were looking for a place that would be quite, peaceful, and have mountain and river views. This area is absolutely beautiful and yet close enough for our guests to visit all that Beavers Bend has to offer without having to stay the night with all the crowds.

What makes this property unique

Deer Run is a Luxury built Cabin with all the amenities. A short 3.5 hour drive from North Dallas and you will find a piece of paradise. Rest, relax and make memories at this beautiful cabin. Enjoy the wildlife, the river, the firepit or just sitting in the unique hand made double rocker on the front porch. The large back deck is awesome! Great place for family gatherings!
