It was perfect. Very spacious, clean, secured parking and building and located close to beach but not in the middle of Waikiki. Would definitely stay there when I come back.
very tiny room maybe about 200 ft.², First off the bathtub‘s broken, dirty sinks, dirty toilet brush and plunger it’s a very tiny room and there was at least 30 cockroach traps. They had them all spread out throughout all the dishes and everything that you’re supposed to use and eat with used Q-tips under the bed garbage bag under the bed. It was just disgusting altogether and looked like it hadn’t even been cleaned. We tried getting a hold of the “ cleaner” she refused to come back and actually clean the place. We contacted Vrbo. They said, because we accepted the keys. There was nothing they could do, even though we walked in, didn’t touch anything and walked out..The owner OWNER then had the audacity to send me a horrible message explaining that her cleaner did an absolute “perfect job” and she happen to know Word for Word every conversation we had with the cleaner… Sounds suspicious to me.We then requested to be refunded because it was not as described and the owner graciously gave us 10 of the 1300 back for the inconvenience of having to pick up a Q-tip?the ocean view that you see is from a lanai on an upper floor and has nothing to do with the actual room. The condo itself is down a sketchy street between two hostels and I didn’t feel safe.Homeless lady lives in the parking spot directly beside the parking spot assigned in her car.0/10. I don’t know how she got decent reviews.

Response from VrboOwner on 1 August 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that our studio did not meet your expectations. However, we respectfully disagree with many of the statements made in this review.
Our professional housekeeper, who has cared for this property for more than eight years, personally welcomed you at check-in, showed you around the studio, answered your questions, and provided the keys. We remained in close communication throughout your arrival so we could respond promptly to any concerns.
Shortly after check-in, you contacted Vrbo requesting a full refund because you objected that the property was a studio and did not have a direct ocean view. Our listing has always accurately described the property as a studio, and the ocean view shown in our listing is clearly identified as being from the shared upper-floor lanai. After reviewing your concerns, Vrbo confirmed that the listing accurately represented the accommodations.
Several of the photos included with this review lack important context. The black discs shown are sealed professional insect bait stations used as part of a preventative pest-management program, which is common in Hawaii’s tropical climate. They are not insect traps and are not evidence of an infestation. The bag under the bed was not garbage; it was a clearly labeled housekeeping bag containing clean spare linens for our cleaner’s use between guest stays. The closet photos show complimentary beach coolers, air mattresses and other beach equipment provided for our guests. The refrigerator contained only two unopened bottles of water left as a courtesy for arriving guests. The bathtub was not broken as stated; it has a cosmetic surface scratch that does not affect its use.
When a cleanliness concern was reported, we immediately offered to have our housekeeper return to address it. That offer was declined. We take cleanliness very seriously and have proudly relied on the same trusted housekeeper for more than eight years.
We are committed to providing an accurately represented, clean, and comfortable vacation rental. We encourage prospective guests to read our many positive reviews, which reflect the experience of the overwhelming majority of our guests.
We just completed our third stay at this condo in the Tradewinds and each time we come we love it more. This year we experienced less street noise and the garbage trucks were coming at better times of day. The common areas are well maintained and the laundry machines and elevator all ran smoothly with no issues. We visit Oahu often and have stayed in many different hotels and condos throughout the years. We appreciate that this is a secure building, with a designated parking space. The condo is stocked with beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards, snorkels, literally everything needed to enjoy playing at the beach, which is just a short block away. The kitchen is also stocked with everything needed to cook full meals and has a full-size fridge. We highly recommend this condo
It was a great place for me (traveling alone) to stay. It was right by the beach--an easy walk to get to the beach. I also liked the private parking lot. Overall, Gina was a great host, had everything I needed.
Perfect spot for us as we planned to spend as little time as possible indoors. All amenities were clean, and enough more for what we expected/needed. Included parking is 100% worth it too! Loved that it was walking distance to everything in Waikiki, yet quiet at night. Check-in/check-out were very easy too. Mahalo!
This place was absolutely perfect, very clean, very comfortable. Everything you would need if traveling solo or roomy enough for a couple. Since I was staying alone, I liked the added security for peace of mind. Located just steps away from beaches, the Zoo, dining and shopping. Would definitely stay again and again!
Super location for access to the beach, shopping and dining. Communication with the host was excellent. The building and area is quiet - suprisngly so considering how densly populated it is. The studio fit our needs perfectly.
The apartment is small but has everything you need. The location is great. The beach is only 2 blocks away and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. The freeparking spot is a big bonus. We met the housekeeper on arrival. She was very helpful and the place was spotless.
Gina is an excellent host with great communication. The unit is clean and adorable, and surprisingly well stocked: salt, pepper, olive oil, condiments, hot plate, rice cooker, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and even nail polish remover. Would definitely recommend! Surfboard lockers were a bonus.
The property is located at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki.Safeway store is located on Kapahulu just a mile away from the condo. Down to Earth Natural Foods on King street was a close drive too. As advertised we were able to walk across the street and be in Kapiolani Park. Near the zoo and the aquarium and a short walk to Kaimana Beach which was our go to beach. It was really good to be able to take a walk and get to the beach without driving. Mahalo Gina
Close to the beach! Good location! A little but noisy but it is center so you are close to everything
Overall good experience!

About the host
Hosted by Graceland
We like to use this condo when we go into Waikiki for a fun day or evening.
Why they chose this property
I like to boogie board at the wall, just 1/2 block away where no surfboards are allowed. The location of this condo is terrific because it has easy access off of the freeway and down Kapahulu. You don't have to go into the heart of Waikiki with all the traffic to get to it.
What makes this property unique
The condo feels like a home and not a hotel. It is a fairly small building with some full time occupants. I hardly ever see anyone on the elevator. The building is well maintained and Lemon Road is a small one lane street with no city bus noise!
