Podere Le Monache set on a hillside dominates one of the most picturesque and spectacular landscapes in Tuscany. With distant views over hills, out to sea towards Livorno and Pisa. Originally a convent wrapped in history Le Monache has a magical and spiritual atmosphere. Whether you are lazing by the pool or strolling in the olive grove or simply relaxing in your apartment you are in another world. Recently restored and converted from a farmhouse into four charming apartments. Perfect for small or large family vacation rental.
Great care has been taken to restore all of the original features, including vaulted ceilings, an open fireplace, and beamed ceilings. Meanwhile, all the modern conveniences have been incorporated.
Each apartment is self-contained; and each has its own entrance. Each apartment offers a terra-cotta patio and outdoor furniture. The kitchen in each of the apartments/cottages has built in cabinets, tall refrigerators, 4 burner hobs, built oven.

Great stay at a Great location

Nice apartment with central location in little village in the Toscany countryside. Friendly host. Great pool which the kids absolutely loved. Unfortunately a bit too many mosquitos at times.

Séjour dans un cadre exceptionnel

Au coeur de la toscane, cette charmante maison située à 70 kms de Florence, Sienne, Lucques et Pise et à 15 kms des superbes villages de San Gimignano, Voltera permet d'alterner des visites culturelles variées avec la gastronomie italienne. Les 2 restaurants du village sont excellents et la piscine permet de se délasser après une grosse journée. La Toscane est une région trés vallonnée où il fait bon à vivre.

Der Ort Inao mit dem sehr netten Einkaufsladen und Kaffe ist sehr schön und spiegelt sehr gut den italienschen Flair wieder. Die Unterkunft war sauber und soweit gut. Leider fehlen viele Haken und Kochlöffel aus Holz und es sind keine kleine Schüsseln vorhanden. Hier sollte "nachsortiert" werden. Die Dusche ist relavtiv klein und die Duschtüre undicht, sodass nach jedem Duschvorgang das Bad "unter Wasser" gestanden ist. Karl+Regine

Thank you for the review I am happy to know you had an enjoyable time at Le Monache, sorry for the inconvenience you had with shower door, I was not aware of the issue the previous guests did not mention the problem. I will also look into the suggestions you made, however I do not have wooden spoons in the kitchen for hygiene reasons , I supply the melamine . I will add small bowls in the kitchen! Lovely apartment with beautiful grounds and views. Nice pool to end days of touring. Nice hillside town with 2 restaurants and a general store. Great location for exploring Tuscany.

Truly the most amazing host, Cinzia and experience and place to visit of a lifetime!!

From the very beginning, CINZIA was over the top gracious, beyond accommodating and truly the best host we've both ever encountered! Cinzia was like my Italian fairy god mother, constructing all the fine details of our wedding here! The views are unmatched here, and the rose garden, bridge and pond with lots of little frogs and most beautiful pristine nature, I've ever seen and the grounds were the most beautiful for our wedding backdrop! I feel so fortunate to have met and stayed in Cinzia's perfect location! There are 4 apartments here which keep it so quaint and special of a visit, while able to accommodate many people! The small village was adorable with the friendliest of people and of course fresh brioches delivered every morning and amazing food and coffee we had every day, breakfast, lunch dinner, all just across the way! Anyone staying here, will have the most extreme loving care and full delight of all Tuscany has to offer! Cinzia is definitely one of the most amazing women, I've ever met. Cinzia is what made Italy so memorable and wonderful!! Being here was the best decision we could have made for our wedding ceremony in Italy! Seriously unmatched spectacular sunsets, especially walking through the olive groves with the most expansive views, and rolling hills of the Tuscan region!!! All the people here are the kindest, and most helpful in this village!!! We felt so celebrated even walking down the tiny main street, while everyone clapped and cheered after for our wedding celebration and continuing the joy for our 6 day stay! The food is incredible in this region and you are walking distance to it all, even a tiny little market having all you need! Honestly, I am grateful eternally and enchanted with Cinzia and this amazing place in lano! She booked our wedding ceremony dinner in a place we would never have known about (locals only) and it was the best dinner we had on our 3 week stay in Italy!!! She also treated us to our wedding cake, completely surprised by her generosity and genuine gesture!! When we visit Italy again we would stay here first and formost out of all the places we've been, including the Cinque Terre, Venice, Florence, Sienna , Lucca, Dolomites, Le valle, and anywhere for that matter! Also again I cannot recommend this place enough especially with the best hostess of a lifetime, Cinzia made our stay beyond amazing and we feel so lucky to have met her!! We miss her already and Italy too!!! Thank you

Podere Le Monache is situated in a small hamlet with all the ameneties you require for a relaxing stress free vacation.
We have 2 excellent restaurants walking distance, where you can enjoy a meal and a glass of wine without having to drive. The small shop/deli offers an excellent choise of local products and fresh fruit and dairy. They have a delivery of fresh bread and croissants every morning. Nearby we have stables, Castelfalfi Resort with adventure Park and golf course.
The place to be for peaceful quiet holiday incorporating , gourmet cuisine and wine tasting for enthusiasts of Tuscan Wines.

Away from the maddening crowd an excellent location to unwind and relax, we are within We are situated in the historical heart of Tuscany, 15 Minutes from the Historical Towns of San Gimignano, Volterra , and Certaldo. San Miniato well known to foodies for its truffles is 20 minutes from the house. One hour from Florence, Siena and Pisa .
The small seaside town of Tirrenia is 45 Minutes from the house.
