Everything about this place was great,m, except the booking process and the whole lead up to it. It was very stressful getting about 10 different emails, then also texts etc about this one simple night we booked, having to pay through a different system than on booking.com to secure the place, unclarity about having lost the reservation, very very long emails that I didn’t have time to read because I was travelling, with way too much details in (eg I don’t expect a one night place I book somewhere to give me advice on how to get into the country, there are other places that I can look for that information) - and it makes the communication overwhelming and unclear. I was convinced I’d done something wrong, had missed something important I had had to do and we would be refused to stay, or that the reservation hadn’t gone through. It was honestly more complicated than a job application. I understand you want to be welcoming and helpful but it achieved the opposite for me to be honest. Less is more. I want a booking to be simple and fast.
