Lovely barn conversion just outside Abergavenny and near the Brecon and Monmouth canal. Friendly host (Simon) who got on well with my husband, both being keen bicyclists. Didn't see much of Simon but he was at the end of the phone if we needed him. We had a well needed break and didn't do much other than read. Our bedrooms were both on the ground floor, as was the bathroom, but there is further space upstairs. Comfy settees and large TV in the lounge. Cosy kitchen and huge fridge and freezer. There is a big Waitrose on the outskirts of Abergavenny, ideal for food shopping and a fish and chip shop in Gilwern if you don't want to cook.
