About this property

Luxurious 3 double bed property, all ensuite, plus sauna, steam room, hot tub

This is not your usual three bedroom property.

But first, who this is not suitable for: We dont let this property to groups with children under 5 years old, due to safety concerns with sunken hottub, sauna etc.
The property is not a party house. Single sexed groups may be refused.

Now the good bit:
Our property is in North Chingford, London E4. It is conveniently situated for regular, fast transport into Central London, yet we are also a few hundred yards from the start of Epping Forest, which is the largest outdoor space in London. North Chingford is one of the most sought after suburbs and although in London it retains a small town feel.

We are also unique in that all three of our double bedrooms have their own ensuite - a real blessing when travelling with a large family or group of friends. One of the doubles has a single sofa bed too. And one of the bedrooms is on the ground floor.

But probably our most unusual feature is that we have our own spa facilities. Sauna, steam room, hot tub and massage chairs. These are for exclusive use for you and your group. Great for unwinding after a hard days sightseeing or work. But not for partying!

Another unusual feature is our 50s/60s American Diner.

COVID 19 - If the government change the rules before your travel dates and it is not possible to travel, we will refund all monies paid.

Good Time in Chingford

Stan & Jan were great hosts. The town of Chingford was charming and the property was awesome. Our children enjoyed the 50's themed eating area. The house had exceptional amenities and was within walking distance to public transportation, dining, and whatever you may need. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Oasis

This was a lovely place to stay for the week!! The outside living space was perfect for us to hang out, bring in food, and chill with family. Location was good for grocery shopping and nearby restaurants. Place was very clean and comfortable! Would definitely come back! Thanks so much!!

Such a pretty view of the Patio, wonderful lil breakfast ( dining area) retro diner! Great accommodations and good connections for day trips to London. Pub around the corner was exceptional. Shopping for quick groceries convenient! 3 Bedrooms for 3 couples. Very nice!

Delightful Property & Hosts!

This property was delightful and Stan & Jan were wonderful hosts. They were quick to respond to any messages and were very welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. Very nice

Very clean, cute place with all the thoughtful touches and little items one could need. 3 bedrooms each with a full bath were very comfortable for my family of 4. 10-15 minute walk to the tube station for easy access to London. Restaurants and groceries all available a quick walk away. Hosts were very nice, met us on arrival, communication was great.

Quick walk to shops and restaurants. Train station about a 10 minute walk. Easy commute into London with the tube. I highly recommend getting a Uber or local taxi if coming from Heathrow. The black cabs are very expensive. Jan and Stan were awesome.

Very Nice Property in Suburban London

The house is a cottage attached to the host's home with 3 bedrooms (all double beds) and three bathrooms. It's about a ten minute walk to the Overground train so about 30ish minutes to Liverpool Street Station. The town is pleasant and has the necessary amenities including a Tesco and such nearby. There's a pub literally around the corner. We had a pleasant stay and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. All in all a good place and experience

Haven away from the Hustle and Bustle

This was our first trip to the U.K. And we wanted something special and that’s what we found at Sunnyside with hosts, Stan and Jan. The rooms were immaculate, and well appointed. The spa facilities were excellent and the charming village of Chingford a delight. There’s plenty of dining and drinking options and you’ll find respite from the rigors of visits to London proper. I could not recommend this property for highly! Thanks Jan & Stan!

London Family Getaway

There were 5 of us ranging in age from 23 to 76. We had a wonderful stay in Chingford which is about 45 minutes from London center. Stan and Jan were wonderful hosts and very helpful with information such as getting to and from Heathrow and getting into London. They even stocked us up some food supplies to get us started. I would highly recommend this VRBO especially if you need 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, which we did. They are hard to come by. Thanks Stan and Jan for a lovely stay!

Brilliant stay, thank you.

Communication with Stan was brilliant from the start, very helpful answering our queries. The place itself was great, we went to London several times on our stay and having a sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi to soothe our aching bones was a game changer! It took just less than an hour to get to the Natural History museum and was all very straightforward on the tube. With just a short taxi ride to the train station needed, or it is probably 10 or so mins stroll. Shops and a chippy nearby and lots of takeaways on tap too! Had a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely be returning. I didn't really want to write a review so we could keep this place a secret! Thank you Stan and Jan, see you soon hopefully!

An enjoyable time in London

Property is as described. Good communication from the hosts. Our family of six appreciated having ensuites off the 3 bedrooms and opportunity to relax in the hot tub in the evenings. Good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We travelled by transit the entire time accessing the overground train within 10-15 min walk. London has an excellent transit system and is very easy to plan your routes through Google Maps. Plan for about an hour to get to central London. Thanks Stan n Jan for hosting us.

Girls Trip

Five of us ladies went to London to see the Baltimore Ravens play and to tour London. This place that we stayed in was more than we expected. Everything that was advertised was there and some more. This place was fabulous. The owners Stan and Jan were two of the nicest people you could ever meet. It was one of the ladies birthday and when we returned back to the house later that night they had some birthday decor and a gift for her. Great people, fabulous place. If you are ever traveling to London please look them up you won't be disappointed. Thanks Stan and Jan we love you.

A special find!

We spent a very enjoyable 3 nights here. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful. The spa facilities were spot on and created many happy and relaxing hours for young and old. The American diner area is very atmospheric and a very enjoyable area to be in. It is ideally situated within walking distance of Epping Forest and a 29min train journey to central London. We really appreciated the extra touches that helped to make our trip simpler, for example the supply of toiletries, Cling film, foil, coffee, tea, milk, breakfast cereal and even a bottle of wine in the fridge! Our only small issue was that there was absolutely no empty kitchen cupboards for us to store any food at all. We would all definitely return. Thank you for a lovely few days away.

Everything and MORE

Everything you could think of, Stan and Jan have provided. The apartment is absolutely stocked with supplies, towels, soaps, coffee, tea, and more. It’s beautifully decorated, and we very much enjoyed having en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom. Just the bedrooms alone would have been amazing, but the spa just puts it over the top. We enjoyed the hot tub, steam room, and sauna every day. But wait, there’s more! The 50s diner! It’s incredible. Most of all, we loved the location. About an hour into the center of London but EASY. Super close to the train and bus station, or Ubers just minutes away. The town is quaint and has everything you could need. We even got a haircut and went to the butchers for fruit. The forest was just lovely. We enjoyed our walks in the fresh air under the ancient trees. We surely hope to return one day soon.

Recommended Respite... R&R with access to everything

The Sunnyside is an attached but separate villa down a very narrow alley that opens up onto an enclosed courtyard. The owners live next door and welcomed us upon arrival. The hottub, sauna, and steam room are all right as you enter and the feature of the space. One ensure is downstairs and was perfect for the older, mobility-challenged member of our group, while two additional ensures are found up an enchanting staircase. Each room has its own decor and theme. While the kitchen is very small, we could manage a few meal preps, but I would not plan on cooking much as it is quite difficult. We relaxed in the diner, which is truly unique. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint, but has a great selection of restaurants and a very popular pub within 50 yards. The train station is about a ten minute walk.

Best Place to Stay in London

You couldn't ask for better hosts than Stan & Jan. They were very welcoming and we felt right at home. Even though we were out and about in London every day of our trip, we really looked forward to coming back every evening to the amazing amenities. The dining room, the beds, the kitchen, and the spa made us feel pampered and yet cozy and at home. The book had some great options for walks and local history. The bus stations to the tube were very close, within 1-2 minutes walk. We felt taken care of. :)

Just as the photos portray: Absolutely Gorgeous and an Amazing Home! Very Clean & beautifully arranged . 3 bedrooms all en-suite. Great for Families, Great Get-Away , Girls Spa Weekend , and just Relaxing! The location is easily accessible , central and Train and Bus stations are a 5 -10mins walk from the Home. Great cafés, restaurants , fish n chips, Kebab, pharmacies, nail salons , cute little boutiques, library and churches all within walking distance. The Hosts Stan & Jan are the most Wonderful, Kind , persons and very accessible and Hospitable . They explained the ins & outs of the Home. What makes this property unique

As mentioned, your own spa to return to whatever the time of year. Great if you have had a long day sightseeing in Central London. Each bedroom has its own ensuite. Private, secluded garden area with outside dining table (not so good in winter!)
