Stunning Luxury Stone Farmhouse In Normandy

The property is set in idyllic rural Normandy, the private and relaxed location makes it a great base for small families or the perfect romantic hideaway.

A particular feature of this property is the stunning master bedroom suite with dressing room and luxurious bathroom with a central roll top, claw foot bath and large shower with beautiful views and across the valley and amazing sunsets.

The house has private parking and large grassed gardens and stands at the end of a quiet “no through road” in a peaceful location.

It is situated in the village of Perriers en Beauficel in the southwest of Normandy, near the borders of Manche and Calvados, a few kilometers from Sourdeval - the nearest town. Only a few minutes drive away, the town offers every amenity including two banks and supermarkets. Market day is held every Tuesday morning, as is the livestock market.

Just 15 minute's drive is the larger town of Vire, an ancient 'walled city' and ruins steeped in history but with the modern amenities such as supermarkets, boutiques, bars, restaurants, garages and fuel.

The beaches on the west coast are an hour’s drive away and the house is approximately 80 minutes drive from the port of Caen and an hour and forty minutes from Cherbourg.

A little further afield are the D-Day landing beaches, the Mont St Michel.

The Lac de la Dathée, ideal for walking, fishing and boating, and an 18 hole golf course are within 15 minutes drive, as is the Saint Sever forest.

Another fabulous stay

Our second visit to this property and just as good as we remembered. It's such a comfortable property and very well furnished and equipped. My husband is a keen cook and all the kitchen equipment and utensils he needed were here (not always the case at all in other properties we've stayed in). We had fantastic weather which is always a bonus, and it was a pleasure to spend time in the garden after a day out.

This was our third visit to this property and we absolutely love it! It is beautifully furnished and clean, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The garden is very peaceful and we saw some interesting bird life. Even though it was our third visit, we found some really great places to visit. The British Normandy Memorial was stunning and very moving. We found a small but beautifully stylish garden to visit at Athis de l'Orne (Jardin Interior a Ciel Ouvert), and a fabulous restaurant, le Moulin de Jean, between St Pois and Cuves. Hope to visit again next year.

Fabulous!

We had a great stay at La Villeniere. the property is just lovely; well furnished and soooooo comfortable! We love cooking and it was a pleasure to find sharp knives in the drawer and sparkling pans in the cupboard. The garden is huge and it was lovely to eat outdoors and relax in the sunshine. The area around is very nice, Sourdeval is a pretty town and well cared for, we liked it a lot. We went to Mortain and Domfront, Barfleur and St Mere Eglise and Bayeux and Omaha Beach. We had a great time and would highly recommend La Villeniere.
