Live On the Ocean and Sleep to Surf Sounds in Idyllic Poipu. Trade Winds & AC.

Our comfortable, third-floor, south shore condo is right ON the ocean so you will SEE --and HEAR-- the sound of the surf as soon as you open your front door. The condo, with stylish, contemporary furniture, boasts a comfortable California king bed. Relax "at home" and enjoy the ocean while sitting inside or out on your lanai. Snorkel with turtles right in front of the condo (we sometimes see Eagle Rays in our bay, too)! This is one of the best shore dive sites on the island and our building is consistently rated as one of the best. The condo is nicely furnished so you can get down to the business of relaxing in comfort upon arrival. Come on in and make yourself at home! Most guests who stay in our Rising Sun Suite *do* return, btw....

Amazing location- saw sea turtles daily, monk seal, black crabs, snorkeling was excellent. Best place to watch sunrise (from balcony) and sunset (from condo grounds). Condo was well stocked with kitchen items and bath items. Having the beach umbrella and chairs, beach towels and cooler was so important and we appreciated having that available very much.

This was the best rental I’ve ever stayed in. When you walk in you immediately feel like you are staying somewhere that is clean and well taken care of. It is very modern also. The property had everything you needed, kitchen supplies , bathroom supplies, and beach supplies. The views were breath taking. Ocean and plenty of greenery. When you wake up you are greeted by a beautiful sunrise from the bed. The location was perfect as well. You are very close to poipu beach and other shops. Baby beach is in walking distance. Denise was a sweetheart. Ive already suggested to everyone I know to stay at this condo if they ever come to Kauai! 10/10 recommend this!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kuhio Shores. Beautiful condo; it was very clean and well kept. And the location was a perfect spot in Poipu. We have fallen in love with Kauai!

Great place!

Fabulous

My husband & I Loved our condo; details like a local number for Safeway grocery, lawn chairs, beach towels etc, nice touches. Very spacious, loved the closets & cabinets so it wasn’t cluttered with our stuff. Clean, minimal decor was great; the little cart was just fun! The host tidbits about everything was so helpful, lowering the blinds, the cross breeze to name a few. Thank you we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Bow on a great Honeymoon

We loved Denise’s place! Very comfortable and ON THE OCEAN. Pretty sure if you had a stone you could throw it into the water. Denise went above and beyond to try and help us execute complicated honeymoon plans. We had a wonderful time and would return. It is a very comfortable place.

Kauai stay

We enjoyed Kauai for the few days we were there. The property was very clean and well appointed. The balcony has beautiful views and it is close proximity to a tiny beach next to a the Beach House restaurant that offers snorkeling gear rental. Debbie was very responsive during check-in. We found the bedroom a little on the warm side, even with windows open. The bedroom fan was set on one speed (low). We did try to turn on the small A/C unit but it didn’t turn on for us. A 10 day per day charge applies, so we just skipped. Laundry is not in unit, so be sure to have small bills or change if doing laundry. The road the building sits on was a bit noisy, there happened to be motor cycle traffic our last night.

Absolutely wonderful!

The condo was so perfect and well equipped with all necessities. Denise was a fabulous communicator and made the whole process seemless. Loved watching the turtles feeding just below our balcony and whale watching. Walking distance to beach and convenient for snorkeling and just chilling. Very happy!

Amazing Condo

We loved having the ocean breeze flood the condo at any time, with incredible ocean views. The only reason for 4 stars on the cleanliness was due to a grimy and smelly shower curtain. Everything else was fantastic.

Beautiful condo, excellent location

Just returned from a one week stay at this property. It looks just like the photos online. It is clean, tastefully decorated with modern style and a touch of Hawaii. The location is perfect for walking to small beaches, watching surfer and turtles in water, and walking or bike riding to local shops and eateries and other beaches. The owner, Denise was very responsive to all of my inquiries before and during my stay. She lives nearby and I had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband. I loved it here and if I am able to go back will stay here again.

Modern paradise

Due to the pandemic, I haven’t been back to Kauai for 3 years. I forgot how much I love it there. This was my second stay in this 3rd floor condo and it was even better this time (if that is possible). Well stocked with beautiful cookware, dishes, appliances and staples. The view from balcony is incredible. Denise continues to be a great host and is always responsive to communication. I can’t wait to return.

A perfect stay!

Denise is the hostess with the mostest! While we weren't able to stay in the specific unit we booked due to construction delays, Denise provided a perfect alternative. She was attentive, forth-coming and always quick to respond. I can't say enough good things. We stayed in #406, the top floor and it's gorgeous. The view and sound of the ocean is mesmerizing. And we saw sea turtles from the balcony too! The location is ideal, snorkeling and surfing just steps away. We will definitely be back! It was the perfect place to stay.

Perfect Location on the water

Beautifully remodeled condo on the water. Sunrise and sunset were magical Be sure to go to the Wednesday farmers market. We also loved the pizza place in Koala and the food trucks there too We stayed 5 nights in Princeville and 5 nights here and it was the perfect trip. Favorite positive- being 3 stories up the roosters do not wake you up, the bed is very comfortable, everything you need to cook a meal. Negatives- once the sun comes up it’s really hot in the condo, even with the ac on. Laundry is paid, the parrots that poop on the cars are no joke. Snorkeling tip/ Best in the area Koloa landing

Amazing!

We rented Denise's beautiful condo in April. When you first walk in, you are immediately looking at the beautiful ocean which is right outside your large living room windows. The condo is amazingly airy (I am an air conditioner fanatic, but truly, with the ocean breezes it was absolutely perfect temp day and night). We also loved the comfort of the king bed, and quirky kitchen that had everything you needed. This space is not your average cookie cutter condo - It has an appealing layout and quite a large living room. The building itself is super clean - I LOVE that. Next door we enjoyed the amazing Beach House restaurant right on the ocean. Our first trip to Kauai was made perfect by our accommodations. Thanks Denise!

Relaxing Both Inside and Out

This condo was great: clean, stylish and stocked with a lot of helpful items that you wouldn't want to invest in yourself for a short trip (oil, pepper, even ziplock bags). We loved hearing the sound of the waves as we fell asleep. It was so relaxing--I don't think I ever slept so well on vacation before. It was also great sitting on the balcony both in the morning and evening. Denise was so helpful and responsive right away. She sent us a list of helpful tips to begin with and proactively asked if we had more questions. Our favorite beach in the area was Baby Beach which had great snorkeling and wasn't crowded at all. It's in walking distance. We also enjoyed the tour at Allerton Garden. As for our tips about eating in the area, we had a much better experience picking up local specialties (ahi tuna, etc.) at the local grocery store that Denise recommends in her notes, making our own poke bowls, and enjoying them on the balcony than eating next door at the Beach House (where they sat us a half an hour after our reservation by the kitchen and away from the ... Beach).

It was our first time to Kauai and the suite was perfect for our experience. Sunrises were beautiful every morning and while we weren't able to snorkel in the bay due to the swell, we had a great time on the deck watching the myriad of sea turtles swimming in it. Denise is wonderful and showed the aloha that we so often forget in life.

We first ventured to Kaua'i in 1998 and never looked back! After many visits to the island, and managing our oceanfront condo rentals from the SF Bay area, we left Silicon Valley and moved to the island in 2002. BEST decisions we've ever made -- except our marriage almost 31 years ago.

Why they chose this property

You can not get any closer to the ocean, and our building is just a few minutes drive to famous Po'ipu Beach Park, the Grand Hyatt, and many other well-known resorts. The Botanical Garden and Spouting Horn are minutes away, as are a multitude of restaurants and shops. Yet our building is "off the beaten path," which means peaceful, quiet serenity....

What makes this property unique

Hop on the elevator to the third floor, enter your front door, and you are looking at OCEAN. Your private lanai consists of clear, plexi glass for unobstructed views, so no peeking through the railing. Watch the turtles frolick and feed -- from the lanai, OR from inside your condo.
