Family home situated in the Dordogne Valley, South West France, bordering on the river. In a small picturesque village called Le Roc.In walking distance to the river .
The house stands in 2000 square meters of private garden surrounded by walnut groves with its own private 5 meters x 8 meters pool for your sole use with plenty of sun loungers and garden furniture. From the large comfortable lounge/ dining room you walk out on to the sun terrace for you to enjoy alfresco dining with barbeque area overlooking the pool, garden and walnut grove. There is also a terrace at the front of the house with sitting area.
It is a large 4 bedroom house with 1 main family bathroom, one en suite and a downstairs cloakroom with toilet. Very well equipped newly installed kitchen with separate utility room with automatic washing machine and dish washer. The property has Sky freeview so you can access a variety of UK TV channels as well as a DVD player.

Nice house in a beautiful environment

Nice house with 4 bedrooms, complete kitchen, washing machine and was disher. Nice garden with BBQ installed and a great pool. Lot's of things to see and to do in the environment. Close to the supermarket in Souillac, 10 minute drive. Garden has fenches which was great for our dogs.

Maison spacieuse très bien agencée/pratique, le jardin super et la piscine top 👍👍 rien à redire notre famille a profité pleinement de ces vacances. Et notre chienne a également apprécie les balades au bord de la Dordogne en accès facile depuis la maison + du grand jardin !!

Un séjour des plus agréables

Un séjour ressourçant au calme et à l’écart des flux touristiques. Une maison parfaitement équipée et très agréable à vivre. Mais également un excellent contact avec le propriétaire. Un grand merci à lui. Nous espérons pouvoir y revenir très bientôt.

Une maison très agréable et hospitalière, l'intérieur est fonctionnel et l'extérieur magnifique !

On arrive et on oublie tout, une maison très bien équipée et dans laquelle on s'y sent très bien ! Fonctionnelle, pratique, hospitalière, il n'y manque rien. L'extérieur est idyllique, la piscine sublime ! A proximité de tout, tout en étant au calme, bref le bonheur ! Une adresse que l'on garde précieusement ! Nous étions 4 adultes, 3 enfants et 2 chiens : tout le monde a adoré ! John est un hôte comme on souhaiterait rencontrer dans toutes les locations ! Bravo !

2 semaines relaxantes et paisibles à la campagne

La maison est telle que toutes les maisons familiales de vacances devraient être: propre, grande, très bien équipée. Mention spéciale du cuisinier chef qui a apprécié les couteaux bien affutés. L'extérieur est super : jolie terrasse, barbecue et grande piscine. John a été un super hôte, même à distance : ultra réactif et arrangeant. Il a eu l'extrême gentillesse de nous faire installer une nouvelle télé pour que l'on puisse brancher notre console! Les enfants étaient ravis! Nous avons profité de la piscine chaque jour, la météo nous a été favorable. Le gite est un point de départ idéal pour de belles visites.. Rocamadour, Collonges, Turennes, Brive, Sarlat, La Roque Gageac, Bergerac... et nous n'avons pas eu le temps de tout faire! :D Une jolie surprise dans un écrin de verdure.

Maison spacieuse et très bien équipée. Idéale pour famille nombreuse ou entre amis, la piscine est grande et la terrasse ombragée très appréciable en cas de forte chaleur. Rien à dire superbe location

Comfortable and spacious family house with a lovely garden and a great pool.

The house is a home from home. Airy and spacious. Good sized kitchen and lots of areas for eating in. We had some lovely meals on the veranda overlooking the pretty garden and pool. Cooling Fans in the bedrooms came into their own as we had some very warm nights. Plenty of hot water for showers. Easy off road parking and just lots of space. Brian and Audrey who live across the way were friendly and welcomed us after a long journey with a chilled glass of wine. Was nice to have some English speaking neighbours and local knowledge. It was great to be somewhere pet friendly. We brought our little dog who loved the big garden and was able to join us at all our meals in local restaurants. Sarlat is a picturesque town and Rocamadour was a fabulous highlight of our visit. So many places to visit in this region. Spoilt for choice. Thanks John for lovely house and thanks Brian and Audrey for looking after us!

Très belle propriété. Le seul hic: pas de commerce à proximité (Souillac est à une dizaine de km).

Très belle maison, plus belle que ce que ne laisse supposer les photos sur le site. Très belle maison, très belle piscine, très beau jardin, très bien entretenus. Le jardin est entièrement clôturé.

Great house in a lovely part of the world

We had a fantastic week at this house in the dordogne valley. The house and all the facilities were plenty big enough for five adults, two children, a grumpy teenager and a dog - there was even room to spare. The location is great, peace and quiet but within a very short drive to the local town and then around forty minutes or so drive to a bigger town. The weather was fantastic too which made lazing by the lovely pool even better! Brian, who lives opposite was excellent, very helpful and knowledgable. One final mention is the owner John - he was really accommodating and helpful and all round top chap! We have pretty much booked up for two weeks next summer!
