Casa Tranquila is 250 mtrs sq (2690 feet) and in a prime location with wonderful vistas across the valley and towards the sea. The interior is a clever combination of traditional décor with modern functionality and comfort even for the most discerning traveller. The architectural use of shapes generates light and space and captures the ambiance of this delightful southern climate. The property has been built high within the plot to provide the maximum views, coupled with privacy and peace. There is a large drive way and easy steps to take you to the hand made wooden door. You enter the property and immediately note the particularly wide oak and steel floating staircase which takes you up to the accommodation. The property has cleverly been split into two wings. One where you will find the bedroom suites and the other the social areas. Also off the airy corridor is a cloakroom.The sitting room over looks the terrace and pool area with views towards the valley and sea. There is a circular free standing contemporary log burner for winter months. High quality porcelain floor tiles have been used throughout to create a luxurious feel both inside and out on the terraces. Comfortable sitting room sofas. There is an extendable dining table/6 chairs, a breakfast bar with 4 stools. You will also find a 50” LCD TV with IPTV installed and a DVD player/DVD films/internet available. There is air conditioning/heating installed which can be utilised at the flick of the remote control. There is a BOSE Bluetooth speaker, even binoculars for viewing the landscapes all around. The pool is built into the raised terrace area that can be entered from the sitting room or the open plan kitchen corridor. Outside you will find tables, chairs, 6 sun loungers, parasols and a Weber gas BBQ for your enjoyment. Permanent slated canopy over the table installed great for shade. A terrace built over the drive, accessed by the pool, has two new sofas mid 2024 and coffee table fabulous bioclimatic pergola you can choose shade or sun. Inside the property is another flight of stairs that takes you to a private bedroom suite. Please note this area is locked off and not available to rent. This is never in occupation whilst rental guests are in the villa despite we now live in the villa. The guest bedrooms can either be accessed by using the bridge which joins the pool terrace to the large bedroom terrace or of course, inside the villa. There is a further table, sofa, arm chairs and stools for 7 outside the master suite. There are two bedroom suites – one with a king size bed, dressing table/mirror/TV - UK TV. There is a spacious master bathroom with twin sinks, large walk in shower with overhead rain shower or hand held option and WC. On entry to the master suite you will find a large section of wardrobes one housing a digital safe, also 42" TV. In the twin bedroom there is a large wardrobe, 32" LCD TV with UK TV, dressing table/mirror. The twin ensuite has a large walk in shower like the master suite, bidet, WC and sink. Both bathrooms have large (heated) curved chrome towel radiators. The fixtures in the bathrooms are a very high standard and even have a Braun toothbrush charger for your use. (Standard Braun 2 pin does not fit Portuguese plugs). The twin room, like the master has solid oak furniture and high quality mattresses with Egyptian cotton linen as well as Egyptian cotton towels and pool towels. Both bedrooms have large patio doors. Overall, this property is ideal in location for those not looking to rely on a car and is stunning in design and furnishings. If you have toddlers likely to climb around the walls of the pool terrace, this property may be a safety risk due to its raised terraces. Some guests have asked to use our hot tub, but this is never rented out and simply for our private use when in residence.
Our license is for 6 occupants, but occupants 5 and 6 would require a camp bed or cot as appropriate. The villa is best suited for 4 guests.
We are required by Portuguese authorities to load onto the AIMA/SIBA platform details of ID at the time of taking your holiday. If you do not feel able to provide this to us we are SORRY but we cannot rent our villa to you as we MUST as licensed OWNERS comply with the Portuguese law. Additionally a new tourist law 2024 requires all summer guests over the age of 11 years to pay £2 per person per night to a maximum of £14 per person. We will request this be paid separately to ourselves so we can lodge the fee directly
