Hidden Bluff Lodge was a lovely place to stay. Appreciated that it accommodated a family of eight. A special touch that the host greets you upon your arrival!
Home was immaculate! Kitchen was very well stocked. Other than the missing swing set (owner explained it was recently damaged in a storm and is being replaced soon), home was as described. Lots of extra blankets available. Bedrooms had either a dresser or a luggage stand, which was great! Beautiful location; so secluded!
We had an excellent weekend away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We appreciated its setting in a rural area for a tranquil getaway. Steve, the host was fantastic. Highly recommended.
The recent reviews are accurate. This is a clean, well maintained, charming property. The Host is available but non-intrusive. One thing not mentioned is that it is very quiet (you can hear the birds flying)! Dog friendly. Know that shops and restaurants in New Glarus are mostly closed on Mondays during the off-season. Not necessarily a negative.
A beautiful location that is set away from the hustle and bustle of life, but not too far from state parks to enjoy the biking and hiking trails. Near to attractions such as the New Glarus Brewery, Swiss Village, and depending on time of the year many local festivals to enjoy. The lodge itself was very clean, has plenty of room with a rustic look, homy feel and all the modern comforts to enjoy a relaxing get away. Great for the nature lover and the nighttime star gazer for sure. The host was very friendly, helpful and nearby if needed for advice for nearby attraction or assistance with the property.
We loved the peace and quiet of this property! We enjoyed hiking the private trails with our dogs. The home was well-appointed and large enough for each of our grown kids to have their own space. A wonderful little retreat.
5/5 Stars – Absolutely perfect host and stunning setting! We couldn't have chosen a better location for our wedding weekend! The property features gorgeous land with incredible views, and there was plenty of space to comfortably sleep all 10 of our overnight guests while easily accommodating our 50 wedding guests for the event. The house and grounds were spotless when we arrived, and the pricing was a fantastic value for everything offered. On top of that, our host went above and beyond—extremely helpful, quick to communicate, and even made special accommodations for us to come back and pick up a few items we had left behind after checkout.Thank you for helping make our special day so memorable. We would love to return and highly recommend this host and property to anyone!
Beautiful property! Well maintained and furnished. Very kind host. I wish the family room on the main level was an air conditioned space--nowhere else to really hang out with everyone otherwise.
We had a wonderful time at Hidden Bluff Lodge! Our host/hostess was very quick to respond when we had questions. The house had everything we needed for our family….the kids loved the loft. The house location allowed us to visit 4 state parks in the area, as well as visiting quaint towns and beautiful countrysides. We highly recommend this to other families who need space to spread out!
The house was beautiful and well equipped. We found everything easily within the house. Enjoyed just relaxing after along day wandering around New Glarus Beer, Bacon, and Cheese Festival.
From our arrival to departure everything was perfect! Our host was extremely helpful showing us around and giving us suggestions on things to do and see. The property is fabulous! We hope to be back soon!
This is a beautiful property. The setting is so gorgeous in the hills. You immediately relaxed. Great kitchen facilities to have meals there. Very clean. Comfortable beds. The mowed walking path around the property was a bonus. The bird feeder was a delight to watch in the mornings as we enjoyed our own breakfast. Our host was very good with communication and personable to greet us but not intrusive. Very special place.
We enjoyed the house, the beautiful area for hiking, and sitting back,by a fire, looking at the moon and stars. The house was very clean, and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We would definitely love to come back for another visit....... Gail and Freddie
