Waterfront Retreat w/Access to Swim Lake
You can't beat this home or location. Waterfront, totally remodeled with all new furniture, appliances and more. It is the perfect spot for a much needed "R&R". Here you can relax in the living room while reading a book, playing games or watching TV all while enjoying the ambiance of the fireplace. Not to be out done, the chef or chefs can join in from the well designed kitchen with granite counter, range with warming drawer and an ample dining area. Two bedrooms, both with Queen beds, plus 2 bathrooms, and laundry area complete the main level. The third bedroom is located on the upper level. It is reached via a winding stair case and aside from the Queen bed there is an additional twin bed on this level. The remodel was done by an interior designer who kept in mind what the owner envisioned and the result is a treat for our guests.

A wonderful time spent as a gathered family from different places. Relaxing time at a beautiful, quintessential PNW location. Grateful for the VRBO hospitality.
The location was quiet and beautiful! Even with children. Everyone on the island was very friendly. The house was really nice and worked very well for our large family of all ages. I would recommend this place!
We had an amazing time. The house is comfortable and beautifully designed, but the real beauty is the view! The sound of the water and birds- mountain view was heavenly. This was our first trip to Lummi Island and we loved the slower pace and homey feel. Played a lot of board games and cooked great food. A perfect opportunity for a family vacation.

Beautiful location, house was average.
When we booked this location a hot tub was advertised. Looks like there was a subsequent remodel to remove the hot tub and expand the master bedroom. The remodel was nice, but our kids were disappointed about the loss of the hot tub. There were also some giant spiders in the house.
We loved this property in our location. We had four adults and three children and the space fit us perfectly. Virginia did everything she could to make our stay an enjoyable one. Will definitely come back here again.
The house and location were perfect for my purpose of getting away. We brought in food to prepare, which is necessary. We took walks between the rain showers and enjoyed the comforts of the house. We will definitely return during drier days.
Our family stayed 4 nights in August and had a fantastic stay. The house is as advertised, comfortable and has all the essentials. Definitely recommend!
Excellent house with fantastic view and peaceful property. Everything you want, except a DVD player which they never said was there so it was exactly as described.
This rental was ideal for spending time together and visiting, which was our purpose for this trip. The deck overlooking the water is alluring and peaceful, we could feel all of our cares melt away with the water and the clean smell of the trees. Our host was responsive and friendly.
We had a relaxing stay and the home is lovely. We had just two complaints. First-the cutlery and baking sheets could use updating and there's a need for a cutting board or two, especially given the need to cook at home. (There aren't many restaurants on the island.) Second, the home has a musty smell that seemed a bit like mildew/cigarette smoke. Two members of our family noticed and the other two didn't, so it might not be noticeable to everyone!
Beautiful property. Wake up with a sunrise reflecting off the Salish Sea. We brought our e-bikes (glad we did) to explore lots of hills crisscrossing the island from south to north and back again.
Fluffy white towels, soft cozy beds and quiet. The local deer population loves their neighborhood, and will walk right past you while searching for something else to munch.
My only caution is for the foodies: this is a scarce kitchen, dull knives and no coffee. Bring a kitchen knife and any other ingredients beyond the flour, sugar, salt and pepper supplied. And stemware was wanting, too. We didn’t mind drinking adult beverages out of tumblers, but the more sophisticated among us may also need to plan here as well.
This house is luxury with a view. It is spacious, well equipped and wonderfully comfortable. Even though we were there when the area was enduring a record heatwave, the home was comfortable without ac. The beds were very comfortable. Eating breakfast at the outside table watching the ocean was great. The community lake swim beach was a real hit. Highly recommend this home!
This is a great property! Breathtaking views and privacy! The deck was so nice to sit in the morning and watch ships go out and listen to all the birds. Bedrooms are comfortable and kitchen is equipped for what you need. Highly recommended.
Our family of four spent 3 nights on Lummi Island at this amazing property. The views from the master bedroom were stunning. We loved being surrounded by trees. We biked, kayaked, and hiked while we were there. And lots of reading on the deck. We hope to be back soon.
Booked the stay for myself and my daughter...while i was busy with Business..she partook in the Property and the entire experience of peaceful relaxation and discovery at Lummi island..The home is tucked peaceful with lovely views of the water...Left right as Berry season was coming alive in pretty bloom...The Property feels like a high touch restful nest in the woods...thoughtfully architecturalized ...w even a ,loft bedroom upstairs...the Island store has everything from Limes..ice cream ..local to imported wine ...to Baking products..the Islands inhabitants are pretty friendly and its a small community that feels peaceful and alive..Virginia was very friendly, caring and professional as a host....the appliances in the home are great..fast wifi ..endless collection of movies to connect to and stream when the time and mood arrives for that...the master bedroom is very restful with views of the water and fertile lush green forest...a wonderful place to work on projects..or retreat,.solo...couple or family...special memories and one of a kind quiet yet very charming trip..!
We were extremely happy with our vacation at this property in Lummi Island. The view from the house with all the trees and the water creates a relaxing atmosphere. I was delighted with the master bedroom. My kids loved the upstairs. We enjoyed walking to the beach (2 minutes from the house). We could use our kayaks everyday. And I also liked the cleanliness of the house. Thank you.
This is a beautiful home - sleeps 6 comfortably. Our kids loved taking the spiral staircase upstairs to sleep and play. We saw more bald eagles than people during our stay. The home is very comfortable, and sparkling clean. Virginia was wonderfully welcoming and accessible in helping us sort out the details of our trip when an unexpected snow storm hit the region. We would love to return again some day!
Initially on arrival there was a hiccup, but Virginia took care of everything. And we were pleased. The house is very comfortable with good water views from the living room. The master bedroom view is probably the best aspect of the property, and the master bath is very nice.
We loved staying at this house for a few days. The view from the living room and bedroom was amazing and the house was very spacious and comfortable. The Otto Preserve was our favorite but Baker is a great hike. This rental didn’t have a very well equipped kitchen, so bring some cooking utensils & a bottle / wine opener if staying for a few days. Kitchen pans were in rough shape.
Amazing view, super comfortable and clean, beautifully updated
Everything including the kitchen and both bathrooms were completely remodeled. The beds were comfortable. The living room was comfy. The deck had a great view of the water. The kitchen had all the basics for cooking which we did every night. The decor everywhere was very coordinated and very nicely done. It was a wonderful place for a family of five to stay and enjoy Lummi Island. Thanks!
Really enjoyed our stay on the Island celebrating my husbands birthday. There were 5 of us (2 couples and 1 single) and enough room for us to spread out and enjoy our privacy while easily interacting with each other in the main rooms of the house. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well stocked with a beautiful shower in the master bath. Be sure to check out the gift shop in the grocery store as they have locally, handmade items and some quirky gifts. Beware of the Sunrise Cove hike; it's a killler! but worth it. The ferry ride was a delight; a simple 7 minute crossing and frequent boats so waiting time was minimal. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 tweens. The room set up was excellent. House was clean, yes there were 2 spiders but look where you are, the woods. One day we explored the marina, the kids went swimming in the lake and we explored the rock beach by the ferry launch. Day 2 we did Baker Preserve Trail (its all up hill to the viewpoint but so worth it) and back to the lake for more swimming. Only suggestion is to have the house stocked with extra TP, papertowels and paper napkins. Be sure to bring all your own condiments too. The pizza at the Beach Store Cafe was top notch!! The manager Virginia is very responsive and helpful.
