the house, built in 2011, is located in Charente Maritime in the village of MATHES LA PALMYRE, a small village of 2000 inhabitants located in the center of the forest of the Curve on the peninsula of Arvert.
The village of Mathes corresponds to the city center with schools, town hall and shops. La Palmyre built by the sea in the 1960s, concentrates most of the economic activities of the town including the famous zoo, one of the largest zoos in Europe.
The house is located in a quiet area in the center of the village with its bakery, shops and market.
The beaches (La Palmyre, Grande Côte and the wild coast) are between 6 and 10 km by car, they are also accessible by bike from the bike paths from the town.
A lot of activities are organized during the summer period.
Feel free to come and enjoy this region with its sunshine, 2,250 hours per year, it is comparable to that which knows a part of the Mediterranean coast.

50th wedding anniversary stay

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and well equipped bungalow, with very pleasant and private garden. The owner was very easy to deal with. The only hiccup was that we could not connect the Wi-Fi. A great place to stay and we would consider it again

Happy holiday

Was ideally located for us near the market square and boulangerie. Philippe was very welcoming and easy to contact with replies coming very quickly. We had everything we needed for our stay and would stay again if we return to the area.

Bon séjour dans l’ensemble. Bon accueil de l’hôte. Maison bien située (commerces, marché, restaurants à 2min à pied) et bien équipée. À déplorer, les travaux de construction en cours derrière la propriété qui ne nous ont pas permis de profiter pleinement de la pergola à cause du bruit. Belles plages surveillées et zoo à ne pas rater à 10min. Nombreuses activités à proximité.

Maison idéalement située, au calme et bien équipée.Un bémol, la propreté n'est pas au rendez-vous.Je partage complètement les avis laissés par Claire M. le 10/04/2023 et par GILLOT B. le 20/08/2022.Un bon coup de propre dans la maison et ce serait parfait. Les matelas ne sont pas nets et on s'enfonce dedans. Communication minimaliste avec le propriétaire par sms uniquement (système de boîte à clés à l'arrivée comme au départ).Ces détails d'importance gâchent la location qui pourrait vraiment être très agréable car elle est bien conçue

Je prends note de vos remarques, Le ménage à été fait avant vôtre arrivée , un des matelas est neuf et l'autre, je reconnais, est un peu mou, il sera changé. Je réside à 140 km de la location et ces jours là je ne pouvais pas être présent. Je ne vous reproche pas la casse de 4 assiettes.

Un peu déçue

Lieu et emplacement au top. Quant à la maison, elle manque de propreté. (Radiateur, placard…) Il serait opportun d’ajouter une note explicative pour l’utilisation du chauffage (Centralisé) et peut-être de le mettre en marche avant l’arrivée de clients. Surtout si bébés à venir, mon cas en l’occurrence.

Location très sympa et bien placée

Location impeccable, fonctionnelle et particulièrement bien équipée. Localisée dans un quartier tranquille près du bourg et de toute commodité, mais un peu loin de la mer (30min en vélo, 20min en voiture avec les bouchons très fréquents l’été). Aucun vis à vis, jardinet agréable. Le propriétaire est très réactif et prévoyant. Je déplore juste ne pas effectuer d’état des lieux à l’entrée et à la sortie, ce qui pourrait éviter des désagréments en termes de ménage et/ou de casse entre deux locataires. Je recommande sans hésiter!
