About this property
Authentic cottage 4/5 p. domain Le Nid des Oiseaux 15-16th C in hart of village
Holiday home Le Marronnier, part of the domaine "Le Nid des Oiseaux", consisting of 4 holiday homes, is a stylishly furnished home in the authentic and entirely in stone built mansion with outbuilding and has its majestic entrance on the garden side.
This property has 2 bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor.
This beautiful bedroom with its original wooden floor, fireplace and exposed natural stone walls has a double bed and doors to the garden.
Via the beautiful corridor with huge large stone floor and natural stone walls you go through the wooden stairs to the spacious "landing" on the first floor.
On this floor is the large living room / open kitchen / salon with again the natural stone walls.
The space has a beautiful mirror cabinet, a couch whose sofa can be transformed into a sofa bed and a very comfortable armchair / méridienne.
The open kitchen is fully equipped with an "4-burner" induction hob, extractor, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and other kitchen utensils, pans and service credit.
The second bedroom, also on the first floor, has a double bed, a chestnut wooden floor and 2 large windows and a sitting area.
The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet and is located next to the bedroom and therefore between the bedroom and the living room / kitchen.
All floors are the original chestnut wood floors.
This property is very stylishly furnished and suitable for 4 to 5 people.
The beautiful garden with its centuries-old trees, has various seating areas, dining tables and chairs and offers you the opportunity to prepare your meals on the barbecue and to eat there, relax and enjoy your book or glass of wine.
The courtyard and garden which are shared with the other guests are spacious and decorated in such a way that everyone has their own place, with table chairs and sun loungers.
The domain Le Nid des Oiseaux, from the 15th-16th centuries, consists of a large mansion with an outbuilding and is built of natural stone.
Originally this large house was a collection of 3 houses and the now corridors used to be the small inner alleys. In a later phase, 4 roofs have been set up, which cannot be seen on the outside.
The main house is therefore divided into 3 fully-fledged holiday homes with its thick walls of about 80 cm. The holiday house La Poste has its entrance on the street side, the 2 other gîtes Le Marronnier and the Côté Jardin have their entrance on the garden side and on the courtyard side.
The outbuilding where the horses used to be has been converted into a romantic holiday cottage, called L'Ecurie.
Due to the central location of Le Nid des Oiseaux in the friendly village of Cubjac on the Auvézère river, many day trips are possible in the region.
The prehistoric caves of Lascaux, the castle of Hautefort, the medieval cities such as Périgueux, Sarlat and Brantôme are just a few of the many highlights of the Dordogne that can be easily and quickly reached from Le Nid des Oiseaux.
Every Friday morning there is a market in Cubjac, where local producers display their goods such as honey, goat cheese, eggs, meat, fruit and vegetables and more.
In the summer there are special evening (food) markets everywhere where you can choose what you want to eat, it will be prepared for you and then you sit at the long tables to taste these delicacies.
In addition to the cultural and culinary highlights of the Dordogne, the beautiful hilly nature offers the opportunity for many sporting activities.
The area is very suitable for walking or cycling.
Canoeing is also possible on the Auvézère and you can play tennis and horse riding in the village further away.
For a cultural, sporting or culinary holiday and for a stay in a calm, unique and very authentic place, this domaine
Le Nid des Oiseaux in the Dordogne is an absolute must!
