Great location and very comfortable southwest setting for 5-6 adults! Terrific parking for two cars. Lovely fireplace. Kitchen is great for anyone looking to prep a meal.
This is a charming residence. We explored all around the house, inside and out, amazed at how authentic NM it was. We only stayed over night but it is a great place for a several day stay.

Thanks for your review and glad you enjoyed your one night stay.
You are right. This home is great for a longer stays with private bedrooms, but communal gathering places inside and out, an onsite laundry room, and a dishwasher. Also it’s only 3 blocks to the Plaza.
Sometimes guests even rent the entire compound of the four homes for groups of up to 12!
Come back and visit anytime.
We loved staying in the house which was cozy, full of interesting art and books and had all the amenities. It is actually a great representative of Taos and we would love to stay there again.
Because of a water main break in the house we were originally going to rent, Melissa worked with us to instead stay in Casa Madre. Even though not the place we originally planned on, Casa Madre was really quite nice. Lovely shaded front and back porches. We particularly enjoyed our wine and pizza on the back porch. Art galleries and restaurants were located within walking distance. Casa Madre felt quite homey for the 3 of us. We loved the living room and kitchen where we could gather together. And we loved having our own separate bedrooms. Would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Taos.
Casa Grande was exceptionally clean and was well equipped for our overnight stay. The decor was charming and the beds were comfortable. The host provided great directions and check in was easy. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay. The home was in a great location and perfect for our stay in beautiful Taos!
This property was really nice.

This home was beautifully decorated and was basically clean. However, it was very hot in Taos when we visited and we were expecting air conditioning, which was listed in the amenities. However, the only type of "air conditioning" that was available were overhead ceiling fans in each room which only began to cool things off later at night, when the outside temperature was coming down some. It necessitated us going out to eat that night because it was uncomfortably hot in the house. Also, during our visit July 30-31st) there was an infestation of elm beetles, so there were beetles mostly concentrated in one room, although they could be found throughout the house. We had to either vacumn up the beetles or rinse them down the drain when we found them.

I am sorry you were hot
I checked my description and amenities and found ceiling fans in each bedroom and living room. I made no claim of ac
The elm beetles are here when it’s hot and I had pest control here twice to spray
I do wish you had mentioned I had my housekeeper there to vacuum any beetles within ten minutes.
Melissa is great and the property is exactly what I need: spacious, fun, with a great place to read and write outside.

I would love to be able to rate this properly, however a day before leaving for our trip Melissa contacted me via email to tell me there was a water issue. She switched us to a rustic property outside town, 911 Upper Ranchito Road. While charming and clean, the property wasn't what we hoped for for our brother's 60th birthday trip. Most significantly, instead of three bedrooms it had two with a detached casita that required going outside to get to an outhouse.
When you walk in, it appears to be charming for about 5 minutes. The living room furniture is uncomfortable, very dated and doesn’t match what is in the photos. The kitchen is nice but what is not listed is the laundry is shared with the other units and you can hear the people talking when they in there like they are in the room. If you leave the door unlocked, they can come in to your space. The shared bathroom is very old with a stained tub and soap holder that you hope has been cleaned. The mirror is too high for anyone person under 5’5” to see their whole face. It needs to be changed out for a bigger mirror. This has been mentioned in past reviews going back to 2021 so obviously the owner doesn’t care what changing out a 40 mirror would do for the guest experience. There are no mirrors in either bedroom that shares the BR and the hall mirror has no lighting. There were bugs in the house on the last day crawling on us in the bed. The lighting in the second bath was full of cobwebs which didn’t lend to a clean feel. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable. They were hard and flat. The challenge for us is that all of these things have been mentioned in previous reviews, we just didn’t take the time to read the poor reviews over the higher rated ones. Shame on us, but feel it is necessary to make other future guests aware of the challenges while staying here. Location is very good and that is the draw.

Wow, you certainly hated everything about my home!
All I can say is my many guests love this home. I also have guests who book this home year after year for their Taos visits
