Beautiful property high up on the hillside, with a really steep climb up to the property. The 5-bedroom property has 2 bedrooms in an annex that sits apart from the main house. There is a lift that serves the 2 rooms but it's a little scary and while there are doors that can be latched to secure the lift and landings, you'll need to be careful if you have small children as there are no safety barriers. This means if you leave something unlatched or unlocked, there's just a straight plunge down into the jungle below. The view was amazing and the living/ lounging and pool area were just amazing. The rooms had big windows and most of them had amazing views.It was a short drive to shops, restaurants, the night markets, massage joints and beauty parlours and taxis were reasonably priced.

wonderful villa, great location, great hosts

Fantastic villa, located a couple of kms away from Chaweng beach. 5 very well appointed double bedrooms, all with modern decor and furnishings. Good sized freshwater pool. Incredible views from villa and most of the bedrooms. Lots of room for sunbathing & relaxing. Not overlooked by other villas, and what construction is occurring (as it is all over Koh Samui) is not so close as to be intrusive. Very responsive hosts - Eric & Cecile - thank you so much for hosting me and my family (including 4 teenagers, age range 13 to 17). Location is a good base for exploring Koh Samui. Worth noting, the villa is located at the top of quite a steep hill, and not really within walking distance of shops/restaurants/bars, so a 4x4 car is advisable. Our stay at villa Melissa was one of our best family holidays ever, and we would return here in a heartbeat - when booking on VRBO the limited number of reviews did concern me a little, but having experienced it for myself, i would recommend this villa without hesitation!
