We had a wonderful stay taking advantage of it's proximity to the bluff trail and the view from the deck. The art work on the walls is great, ND HAS ALL THE ADVANTAGES OF THE SEA RANCH COMMUNITY.

A truly spectacular and welcoming retreat; peaceful and beautiful. Fast WiFi, a fantastic hot tub, and a wonderful beach side trail at your front door. Comfortable beds and one of the best equipped kitchens we’ve seen in our travels.

This is the perfect location for a Sea Ranch getaway. The surf is a stone's throw away. This home is very comfortable and inviting with great unobstructed ocean views from every room.The host was very cooperative and responsive.

The house was perfect for two couples: two separate bedroom suites, a great open kitchen/dining/living room space, and fantastic; views from all rooms. The hiking trail along the bluff is 40 yards from the deck - close, but not too close. We look forward to returning!

Perfect getaway for 2 couples

Our group of four had a lovely stay at Windsong. The views are truly spectacular and we enjoyed a stormy weekend watching crashing waves and listening to the rain by the fire. We hardly left the property because it was so relaxing and comfortable. We particularly appreciated how comfortable the beds were, the quality of the blankets and linens, and the extra touches like binoculars and umbrellas. Both bedrooms and the living room had ocean views but also full window shades that could be lowered for light and privacy which was nice since the walking path passes in front of the house. We would absolutely stay again!

Birthday get away

We love Sea Ranch and just sold our Sea Ranch house in August so it was wonderful to stay in this beautiful home with my husband and have our friends over for a dinner without having to worry about the up keep of our own house. We will be back soon.

Best VRBO ever

Cozy house with a great view

This is the second time we have stayed at Windsong with our best friends. We were hoping for a winter storm during our stay so we could watch the ocean from the amazing views this house provides. We had an incredible show and in between the rain accessed the trail right behind the house. We’ll be back!

Beautiful house at a marvelous place

We checked in following the detailed instructions provided to us. We were fortunate to have perfect weather that allowed us to enjoy walks on the shoreline trail that passes near the house. The kitchen and other rooms were well equipped and the decor was excellent. We never figured out how to make the TV system work but we kept ourselves entertained without it. We look forward to another opportunity to stay.

Another Perfect Stay

When we walked in for the first time, there were four deer in the front staring at us! When they left, a beautiful fox showed up. This place is magical and we'll be back soon for sure. Spent time reading, doing jigsaw, looking at the view, bbq-ing and hiking. The store in Gualala is great. Were going to go eat dinner at the Lodge, but didn't want to leave as it turns out. No complaints about anything other than the wine opener has seen better days. I'm sure we didn't help with that situation :))

Perfect for Two Couples & Wheelchair Accessible!

Everything about our stay at Windsong was perfect. We were two couples, having brought my in-laws back to their beloved Sea Ranch. The house was so tastefully decorated and fully wheel-chair accessible which was much appreciated. On Saturday we went up to Gulala Farmers Market and picked up a fresh locally caught fish. The adjacent bi-weekly flea market had a perfect fish bbq basket which we left for future guests and our hosts. We had bbq’d cod with a miso glaze that night and it was absolutely the most incredible meal. The house has plenty of spices and basic oil but the market on the coast side in Gulala was very nice for anything else we didn’t bring and locally made treats. The beds were indeed firm as another reviewer mentioned, but for us that was perfect! We enjoyed a hot tub under the sky full of stars and slept very well. Sunday was a rainy day and it was a lovely place to watch the water, waves and sky from every room. We were well restored to face the world again after our Windsong retreat. Jennifer was a great communicator and easy host. Directions, entry, and guide book were very clear. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning before too long.

Best location and views!

Stayed at this property for 4 nights with my wife for an extended birthday weekend and it did not disappoint. My wife and I have been coming to Sea Ranch for 10+ years and this was easily the best house we have stayed in. The location is mid-way between all of our favorite beaches and bluff trails. Approximately 4 miles round trip from the house to Black Point Beach, Pebble Beach is literally steps away, and its a 6 mile round trip hike up to Shell Beach. The seal rookery is close, with lots of tide pools to explore just beyond. The wide open expanse of ocean that greets you from every room in the house is spectacular. Unimpeded views, but also the house had a very private feel despite the proximity of the neighboring properties. We dined in for 2 nights and the BBQ and kitchen had everything we needed to make great meals. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after our long hikes. The hot tub deck enclosure is private but the gate can be opened up for ocean views as well. The house is ideal for 1 couple, or two, there are 2 master suites on either end of the house with a central great room common area with comfortable furnishings and the gas fireplace added a nice warmth and ambiance to the evenings. We spent a lot of time on the front deck in the chairs just sipping wine, watching the view and relaxing. We will definitely be re-booking this property for our future visits to Sea Ranch.

This home was the perfect choice for my husband and I to getaway for a last minute trip to the Sea Ranch. We loved the location on the bluff, right next to the trail. It was incredibly comfortable, clean, with all the amenities we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was in perfect condition. We loved the star gazing we did at night and lounging we did on the deck during the day. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. Wonderful rental!

We are in love with The Sea Ranch and this home, and managed to purchase it in 2016! We look forward to continuing to share it with all who have come before and with all who are new to the area. It was built in 1991 and lovingly remodeled in 2011 and again in 2016.

Why they chose this property

The stunningly beautiful Sea Ranch coastline is unparalleled! Nature's splendor and majesty is its crowning glory. Windsong, a gem-like respite along its edge, is a single-level home with two master suites, each boasting a king-sized bed, quality bedding, and gorgeous baths. White water views can be seen from the decks as well as from all rooms in the home. To us, there is nothing better than enjoying that first cup of coffee in the morning with waves crashing a few yards beyond, or lounging at day's end with a glass of wine, enjoying the sunset. Daily walks along the bluff trail, which Windsong sits adjacent to, is our favorite activity, inspiring and breathtaking. Our home is complete with its own private hot tub, internet access, new modern gas fireplace, 40-inch flat screen TV with satellite and DVD player, bluetooth speaker for use with your bluetooth music devices, washer/dryer, and well-appointed kitchen. A few steps to the south is Pebble Beach, just one of several beautiful coves clustered along the amazing 40-mile stretch of Sea Ranch trails, 10 miles of which ramble along the bluff of the most pristine stretch of California coastline imaginable. Beauty and serenity await!
