About this property
Pelican Point -- Oceanfront Blufftop on 1 Acre, Hot Tub, Dog Friendly!
Welcome to Pelican Point, your oceanfront escape on the Gualala Coast! Situated on a stunning blufftop, you can whale or bird watch from the hot tub, listen to waves from the Adirondack chairs, nap in the hammock, and enjoy sundowners on the log-cut table and chairs on our private point of land.
The home sits on a secluded lane where traffic is neither seen nor heard. Located in a micro-climate known as the “Banana Belt,” the fog stays offshore and the property remains sunny and quiet. This gem is just 2.5 hours from the Golden Gate Bridge.
And the indoors are as inviting as the outside! This newly-remodeled home has two spacious bedrooms (plus a queen-sized pullout couch), two bathrooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, a separate TV nook, and two new gas fireplaces.
Pelican Point offers guests:
• Two large oceanfront decks, both with panoramic ocean views
• Private hot tub and outdoor hot-water shower
• Huge picture windows boasting stunning views at every turn
• Large, peaceful bedrooms with queen beds made up with crisp Brooklinen and Parachute linens
• Malin + Goetz toiletries
• Gas grill on the deck
• Teak outdoor dining table seating six
• Dog-friendly, on 1+ acre of land
• Fast Wi-Fi for remote work or streaming
Although it is a private, end-of-the-road property, the Point is only five minutes from town. Nearby attractions include:
• Cooks Beach (4 min) — Quiet, hidden sandy beach with bluffs above and tide pools below
• Downtown Gualala (5 min) – Local markets, art galleries, and restaurants
• Gualala Bluff Trail (5 min) – Child and dog-friendly scenic stroll hugging the coast and riverbank
• Gualala Arts Center (6 min) — Local art, live music and art classes, set in the redwoods
• River Bend Kayaks (6 min) – Kayak and canoe rentals along the Gualala River
• Gualala Point Regional Park (8 min) – Bluff trails and beach access, with minimal crowds
• Bowling Ball Beach (15 min) – Famous for its rock formations at low tide
• Sea Ranch (10-20 min) – Restaurants, impressive community theater, trails and beaches
• Point Arena Lighthouse (28 min) – Historic and beautiful lighthouse and a charming museum
• Annapolis Winery (30 min) – Winery in the redwoods overlooking the ocean, featuring hand-crafted ultra-premium wines
Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub, hiking the hillside and beach trails, or curling up fireside, Pelican Point is where rugged beauty meets comfort. Perfect for couples, families, artists, or remote workers craving peace and ocean views.
There are two exterior security cameras on the outside of the home, both of which point outward toward the street. Neither camera captures the interior of the home, hot tub, or backyard.
A note about safety:
The beauty of the Pacific at Pelican Point is magnified by the rugged bluff-top terrain. We have chosen not to fence the yard so as not to spoil its natural beauty. Because of that, guests must be aware of the danger of getting too close to the edge. With over an acre of land, there is plenty of room for children and dogs to run and play without getting too close to the bluff.
By renting the property you agree that you understand the dangers of the blufftops and that they are in a natural state, with no barriers or signs at the top. You agree to fully release, indemnify, and hold the owners harmless if an injury involving the bluffs occurs to you, your family, or your guests.

About the host
Hosted by Sangeeta Sinha
Hi, I'm Sangeeta! My husband and I have been married for 20 years and dote on our mini Australian Shepherd, Perry.
We have been traveling north from San Francisco for over two decades. One of the things we enjoy the most is the diverse beauty of the area, from the water to the redwoods. We look forward to sharing our home with our family, friends and guests.
