Villa Bergamot (Ministry of Tourism License No: 07-1113) offers the perfect combination of a pool and sea side vacation home thanks to its prime location in Kalkan’s sought after Kisla Bay, just five minutes walking distance to the beach. Spread over three floors, it boasts spectacular sea-views from all levels, including the pool terrace. Interiors are very bright and spacious with a homey ambience and lots of wall-to-wall French windows.

The sunny pool terrace on the first level has a good sized private pool, sun-loungers, a covered seating area, al-fresco dining table (seats 6) and side gardens verdant with fruit-bearing lemon and tangerine trees. There is also a stone oven barbecue and an outdoor shower. While the pool area receives sunshine for most of the day, ultimate sunseekers may also enjoy the roof terrace for further sunbathing opportunity.

The large roof terrace is furnished with outdoor seating and sun loungers, and offers the additional convenience of a kitchenette. Boasting spectacular and uninterrupted views of the bay of Kalkan, it affords the perfect opportunity to enjoy breathtaking sunsets over Kisla bay and long, drawn out nights of star-gazing.

The ground floor consists of open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen and access to pool terrace via French windows.

The spacious master suite occupies the entire first floor and has a double bed, flat screen TV, a walk-in closet, a large en-suite bathroom with corner tub/jacuzzi, shower cubicle and double sink. The large shaded balcony of the master suit offers a dining table (seats 4), a comfortable seating area and stunning views.

The second floor has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds, again with en-suite bathrooms and balconies with lovely views.

We had a fantastic stay in Villa Bergamot. Located close enough to experience everything Kalkan has to offer yet quiet enough to relax and unwind. Lovely villa in great area

The Villa was exactly as described. Location was good for a couple of restaurants and beach clubs, and town nearby - walkable and easily accessible by taxis (which are plentiful). Host , Silla, was great giving us some welcome gifts, a really useful information prior to arrival on local facilities, etc. She also arranged an excellent transfer to and from Dalamar airport for us, and helped greatly with our departure, for which we are very grateful!! We’ll worth a visit!

Our group of 6 enjoyed the week in Kalkan made very comfortable by the stay at this villa. Very quiet area close to plenty of local amenities although need a short taxi ride to go to the town. Walking is absolutely fine although up and down. Villa accommodates everyone easily and has a great view over the bay. Very relaxing place with more restaurants in the town than you can visit in a week!

The villa is very clean and has fantastic views from all 3 bedrooms. Pool was great and the same depth all over which was great for us 4 adults. A little bit out of town, I would say a good 30 minute walk but it is easy to get a taxi which was less than £5 each way. I would recommend the villa and Sila is a good owner with prompt communication

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at this villa. Sila could not have been more helpful arranging our airport transfers, plans for our final day and giving us some great recommendations!The Villa itself is beautiful and we loved sitting on the balcony in the evenings. The pool is cleaned daily and outside area is beautiful. The Villa is an easy 5 min taxi ride to town although we tended to walk in and get a taxi back to stretch our legs! Green beach club is a two minute walk and has a pool and sea access along with fantastic service and food options. There is a small supermarket on the street above and plenty of others in town should you need more.It was our first time in Türkiye and we will definitely be back. Kalkan is a charming place full of lovely, friendly people who can’t do enough to make sure you are enjoying your holiday.

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful and very much well looked after villa. We enjoyed the beautiful view, and the nice pool which was cleaned every morning. I would just not recommend the Mahal beach club downhill which turned our little family away in a very blunt way. But there are other options around.

Wonderful stay

A beautiful villa with fabulous views and a great location. The villa is very spacious with lovely furniture and antiques. The roof terrace is a must for sundowners watching the sun setting over Kalkan. Would highly recommend Fidanka as recommended by Sila, for beautiful food and stunning views. We only wished we’d gone earlier as we would definitely have returned. Sila is very responsive to any questions or requests. A boat trip is a must to enjoy swimming in the clear turquoise sea with a delicious lunch. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Beautiful villa

A really lovely villa with beautiful sea views from all of the bedrooms. Situated in a peaceful neighbourhood close to a few local restaurants and relaxing beach clubs. Really easy to get to the old town via taxi, with cheap taxi fares and the old town itself has a brilliant selection of bars and restaurants and shops selling beautiful homemade goods. Had a really wonderful holiday here - Sila responded really quickly to any questions we had and gave us lots of great tips for places to visit. The welcome basket when we arrived was also just what we needed after a long journey. Will definitely be back!

Lovely stay in a great property

We enjoyed a lovely fortnight at Villa Bergamot. The place was spotless and extremely well positioned. The pool area in particular was perfect - lots of space and shade (for those who wanted it). Hotel Fidanka (3 mins away) serves up a fantastic cocktail and there are a couple of other places within walking distances for meals/drinks. Otherwise it's a short taxi ride into Kalkan. Sila - the owner - was a fantastic help throughout. As well as being immediately responsive to any queries, we really appreciated her advice and suggestions for things to do/places to go. All in all, a lovely stay in a great property

Lovely villa with amazing sea views

Just spent 10 days at Villa Bergamot - a well equipped villa in the Kisla area with beautiful views across the bay and a 5 min taxi ride away from the Old Town so quiet but easily accessible (taxis seemed to be a fixed price of 220 TL each way - c.4-5)Not much going on in Kisla which suited us but one lovely quirky restaurant 5 mins walk away & a handy small store for the essentials opposite.The pool was lovely & a nice big fridge and good aircon in all main rooms.Our host was always available to help with queries & recommended a great boat trip for us.Easy to get supermarket deliveries within half an hour saving carrying heavy bags in the heat.There were a few minor things that would have made the stay 5* - more than one pillow per person, sheets not just a throw & blanket for the bed, enough Handwash & dishwasher tablets for our stay, a few basics in the cupboard like salt & pepper, bin bags, hand towel in the cloakroom and the view of the sea from the pool maintained as the Bougainvillia had grown tall blocking this.The flowers on the patio were beautifully maintained & the BBQ round the back very useful. We were 5 adults (2 couples 1) and it was just the right size for us. There are properties on either side so it was noisy at times but mostly the sound of other families having fun too.Overall a very nice stay in a pretty area of Kalkan

Just returned from a very relaxing week in Kalkan. The villa is set on a hill with beautiful views over the bay. There are 3 good size bedrooms with on-suite and very comfy beds. The pool is a great size and it is lovely to relax afterwards on the sunbeds. The kitchen is a good size and the kids enjoyed sitting in the nice cool living area. We were not able to get Netflix and there are not many TV channels in English. As it was 40 degrees every day we took a taxi to Kalkan old town in the evenings. This costs around 5 each way. If the weather is cooler, you may be able to walk,into town, but the hills are very steep. There are plenty of restaurants and the food we had in general was excellent. We enjoyed a day at Indigo beach club, where you can jump off the jetty for a refreshing swim. We went on a day trip to Saklikent Gorge, which was beautiful and enjoyed floating in a rubber ring down the river. The took a boat trip which was very relaxing, but a little bit boring as you stay hours in the same spot and the boats don't go out very far. The host is excellent. She is quick to respond and can help you arrange trips and taxi transfers from the airport. Our fire alarm had an annoying beep when we first arrived and this was fixed straight away. I would highly recommend this villa.

Villa Bergamot. A little slice of heaven in Kisla

We have stayed in numerous villas over the years in Kalkan but Villa Bergamot is easily the most beautiful. The villa is tucked away in the quieter side of Kalkan in the Kisla area. This makes for a slightly quieter location but the stunning view from every balcony and especially the roof terrace give panoramic vistas back across Kalkan and the bay. Inside the place has a lovely homely feel to it and you can tell that the owner truly cares about the place and her guests. The layout of the building is wonderful. Being set slightly up from the road provides privacy. There is plenty of sunny areas and also shady spots if you (like me) prefer the cool. Our host was extremely helpful in organising our visit and transfers etc. You always got the sense that she would be on hand if needed, but left you to enjoy her stunning place in peace. This is a villa we absolutely intend to return to, and sooner rather than later.

A Home Away From Home ❤️

We had the absolute pleasure of staying in Villa Bergamot for our 10 day holiday. The property is large, modern and a joy to stay in. The views, the comfort, the roof terrace and balconies...it was a dream! The area is peaceful, but right on the doorstep of plenty of quality restaurants and many beach parks in walking distance. For even more fun, a very cheap boat ride or taxi had you in the old town for shopping, and more bars and restaurants than you know what to do with. It is paradise; you won't stop appreciating the views and the tranquility. Sila, the host, did everything under the sun to help us and make our stay effortless. She was extremely communicative, very helpful and it was the easiest experience I've had of renting a property. She even organised our airport transfers and had a welcome pack waiting upon arrival. Within a week, we were planning our next trip to return as one visit just isn't enough ❣️ This is a must stay location and the perfect villa for the whole family.

Stunning Villa

We have just returned from a super stay at Villa Bergamot. Pre-booking Sila was fantastic with communication and was super understanding about the COVID situation. We couldn’t have asked for a more helpful villa owner. She arranged our transfer, which was competitively priced and convenient. The Villa was in excellent condition. It has a modern, smart feel to it. The location is ideal for Kalkan, being close to supermarket and the Mahal Beach club (highly recommended). Taxi to town was highly accessible and about £3 each way. The views are wonderful. We were five adults and there are plenty of spaces to be together and also apart(!). The Villa lacked no amenity. We adapted to the 10mbps WiFi and when it failed one day Sila was on it getting it sorted within the day. Mobile phone signals are excellent as well. In short this is an ideally situated, very well-appointed villa hosted by a very attentive villa owner. We are already planning our return (as are our friends who were staying locally as well).

Amazing holiday!

We have just returned from spending 2 weeks at this beautiful Villa. I booked a year in advance, having never traveled to Turkey. From the minute I booked the communication with Sila was amazing. She answered every question I had regarding the villa, the area and recommendations promptly. I had to amend the dates of the trip due to airline availability and this was no issue for Sila at all. The Villa is even better than the photographs. It had 3 really good size bedrooms all with en-suite. Our favourite area was the pool/patio area. We spent most days relaxing here taking in the breathtaking views. The pool was maintained each day . We used a taxi each evening to get to the old town. This cost around £5 each way. We did try and walk there the first night however with the heat it was too far. We befriended a taxi driver who gave us hi number and we used him each day. We used the Ero market on the street above to collect fresh bread and milk . It is very basic however as we did not cook at the villa it suited us perfectly. Kalkan old town is great with so many great restaurants and bars. We did a boat trip and a sunset trip and walked down to Mahal beach club restaurant for a truly amazing last evening meal taking in the views of Kalkan. We would love to return to Villa Bergamot. It was a fantastic holiday!

We had a fantastic stay at the Villa Bergamont in early September. It is seriously spacious and very well equipped. There were 4 adults in our party but even with 6 it would not feel remotely crowded. You will not get tired of the panoramic views out across the bay. The whole place is spotless, nothing felt tired or worn. My particular must haves are that the beds must be comfortable, the air conditioning is sufficient to cope with the heat, the showers have good pressure and its quiet after 11pm. Villa Bergamont more than met my expectations in these areas. The pool is lovely, clean and of uniform depth, probably about 5 feet, the sunbeds are solid and comfortable. The location. We have always stayed in Kalkan itself before. But this was not a problem. A 60 lira £3 taxi into town is 5 minutes. We had a lovely taxi driver (Aydin) who we used throughout the stay. I would strongly recommend finding a friendly taxi driver early in your stay and sticking with them for the rest of the holiday. There are 2 beach clubs within 5 minutes’ walk and if you want to stretch those calf muscles a local supermarket selling all the essentials 10 minutes’ walk away. Sila the host was very prompt and informative with any questions we had. I have no hesitation in recommending this fantastic Villa and would certainly stay there again.

A perfect holiday: beautiful villa; wonderful location; and amazing host

Villa Bergamot is situated just along from the old town area of Kalkan giving it the most stunning uninterrupted views of the harbour not to mention glorious sunsets. The design of the Villa takes full advantage of this: not only is there a large poolside area leading from the open plan kitchen/living area but there are balconies from each of the bedrooms. Furthermore, there is a huge roof terrace on top of the Villa. The Villa and pool are kept spotlessly clean and everything you might need is supplied. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance, and the town is only minutes away by taxi or water taxi. There, you can find scores of waterside cafes and rooftop restaurants open to midnight. My favourite was the Alternatif rooftop restaurant (with its marbled steaks, mixed grilled seafood, and seafood pasta etc) but there are many others. Given the choice, is worthwhile getting recommendations from Sila and/or online. The food in Kalkan is so delicious that we only ever had breakfast at the Villa. There is plenty of places to visit around Kalkan e.g., Patara (around 30 mins drive). It has a gorgeous long sandy beach with gentle waves - great to cool off and witness the sunset after traipsing round the Roman ruins just a short walk away! The owner, Sila could not have been more helpful. Communications were always prompt and all the information needed was provided. Not only that, Sila responded in great detail to any queries we had e.g., regarding restaurants and currency exchange. We were met in Kalkan by a representative who held the keys to the Villa at the entrance of town and escorted to the Villa. This was really helpful as we had not visited Kalkan before. Then we were pretty much left to enjoy the Villa until the keys were collected on the morning we left. We could see that the “Pool guy” had been (although we never saw him) and one day there was a problem with the cable TV reception. Within an hour of emailing Sila about the problem, the “TV guy” had been around and fixed it! I highly recommend this Villa. We all loved staying there (Mum, Dad, and our 12 year-old daughter). Our only regret is that we did not book longer than a week.

Das Haus entsprach den Angaben im Inserat. Die Vermieterin hat sich umgehend bei Problemen gekümmert, das war prima. Der Preis war hoch, dafür war das Haus schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Kleiner Hinweis: Wenn ich 400€ pro Tag zahle, wäre es prima, wenn Klopapier, Küchenrolle und Spülmaschinentabs ausreichend vorhanden sind.

We are a couple living in Amsterdam but we also spend quite some time in Istanbul and Kalkan throughout the year. Since we’d been having our summer vacations in Kalkan for many years and love the area, eventually we wanted to have a place of our own and in 2017 bought our first villa in Kisla, one of our favourite areas in Kalkan. Then in 2021, we visited LaVanta Estate and instantly fell in love with its idyllic setting, tranquillity and charm! That’s why we decided to buy our second villa there. We use both villas as our holiday homes when we do not have guests so when furnishing them we paid great attention to ensure that they have everything one needs to feel really “at home” whilst on holiday. We hope you will enjoy Kalkan and our villas as much as we do and have a lovely holiday!

Why they chose this property

We chose this property over others in the area for three main reasons:

1) Location! The villa has a wonderful waterfront location, just a few minutes walk to all three beach clubs in the Kisla Bay. No need for taxi rides or long walks and one could even go home for an afternoon nap or lunch and easily be back at the beach club afterwards, which is extremely convenient. It is also an advantage that these three beach clubs cater for every visitor and taste; Mahal Beach Club offers a higher level of serenity and luxury while the other two beach clubs (both free) offer child-friendly attractions such as a water slides. There are also water taxi services available at two of these beach clubs, which give easy access to Kalkan harbour and the old town. Finally, the location affords suberb views over the sea and Kalkan town.

2) The villa is spacious and has a very light and airy feeling to it. Unlike many houses in the region, none of the bedrooms consist of attic rooms with lower ceilings; each bedroom has high ceilings and very decent sized bathrooms. Having a private balcony attached to every room was also a great advantage in our opinion.

3) The villa has a huge roof terrace with panoramic and uninterrupted views over the bay and Kalkan, which we immediately fell in love with! Not only it is perfect for star-gazing and watching the sunset but it also offers longer sun-bathing opportunity to those who simply can not get enough of sunshine!

Finally, maybe it wouldn't have been a reason on its own for purchasing but we also fell in love with the mature and ever-green citrus trees (lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, lime, bergamot) surrounding the house! Not just because of the fruits they offer but also for the heavenly smell of their blossoms in spring and early summer.
