Countryside house in Nature with mountain view

Looking for a quiet village life, enjoy the quietness and tranquillity in our new bright spacious,fully furnished and equipped house for comfortable and relaxing moments in the traditional picturesque "Kerasia" village, located 15-20 minutes from Heraklion and 30 minutes from the southern part of Crete, Phaistos and Matala.
Our country house consists of double bedroom with private bathroom, two single bedrooms and the master bathroom with bathtub accessible from all rooms.In the well equipped open plan kitchen with all the essential you can prepare meals and taste our pure Cretan spices the virgin olive oil from our own olive trees available for you! Dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster is also in your disposal.
In the spacious living room you can relax by the fire place during the winter, listen to music from our cd player or explore Internet. Wifi is available. The couches can also accommodate 2 more extra persons if required.
Besides that, outside, around the house there are verandas to enjoy the mountain views and relax.
The country house is located in kerrasa village, 24 km south of Heraklion airport. It is an ideal base for exploring Crete being easily accessible from Heraklion on an excellent major highway. It is built on the eastern slopes of the Hill "Halepa" with rich view of "plain of Kerasia ", the Lasithiotika mountains, the historic monastery of Paliani and the Hill «Kastellas», with the chapel of Saint Panteleimonas at the top.

Great view in the mountains

Great view of the mountains in the small village of Kerasia. The property was very clean and the description is accurate. The owners (Voula and George) are very helpful and generous. I would recommend this property!!! Thank you again for the wonderful stay! :)

Spaceous and comfortable

Voula and George made booking and check-in simple. We were greeted by them and given deliceous cakes. They told us to get in touch if there was anything they could do. The house is very spaceous and bright, though all rooms have blinds to keep out the morning sun. There's plenty of balcony space though it was a bit too breezy in early may to make use of it.The kitchen area is very good with plenty of room to store food. There's a large king size bed, very comfortable and queen (3/4) beds in the other two rooms. Plenty of hot water in the showers, one curtained corner unit and one over bath. Highly recommended The location is very good, easy acces to the main road and there are shops a few minutes drive away. Great for exploring Heraklion and suroounding area.

Vacation in Crete 2023

Arrived at the residence with a heartwarming welcome. We booked residence for approx one month. Off the balcony, you have amazing views both day and night looking over Venerato village. enough due to the circumstances. Residence is a 15 min walk into Venerato which was perfect for us as we have relatives and close friends living in the Venerato. A 5 min drive if your driving through. During our stay, we’ve occurred issues with the air conditioning. Listing stated that they have air conditioning however, during the hottest season (July, August), their air conditioners were like fans. The air conditioners that they had, you were not able to set it at 75example, and was not giving out cool air. Despite this inconvenience, owner made it possible to install 2 air conditioners. One in the MB, and one in the smaller bedroom. They also attempted to install another in the other small bedrooms and the living room, however the technicians were not able to install due to discrepancies of the home of where they would need to install. We had left the 2 new AC from the bedrooms on at 70F (20C) with the doors open and was sufficient enough to cool the entire house despite consideration that no one was able to have any privacy of being able to close their door. We did not have any access to the MB closet, so we had to utilize all of the dresser drawers and the small bedroom closet.Overall , owners were very understanding and extremely humble to make sure we were comfortable.

Une très agréable surprise

À première vue, l'emplacement de la maison avait de quoi nous inquiéter un peu. À une centaine de mètres de la route principale, le lieu risquait d'être très bruyant. Elle l'était, mais, la climatisation aidant, on s'y est rapidement habitués, d'autant plus que la maison, très spacieuse, est on ne peut plus confortable. Et ne se trouve qu'à une demi-heure d'Heraklion. Et puis Georges et sa femme se sont fendus en quatre pour rendre notre séjour inoubliable. Merci à vous deux. Les cinq jours que nous avons passés dans votre maison resteront gravés dans notre mémoire.

Super-Lage, um Kreta zu erkunden

Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr zentral auf Kreta und ist damit ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um die Insel in allen Richtungen zu erkunden. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Es ist mit allem in hoher Qualität ausgestattet. Der Kontakt zum, Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und die bereit gestellte Grundausstattung mit Getränken, Gebäck, Gewürzen und sonstigen Dingen für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt war wirklich super. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, das Essen auf den Terrassen sehr genossen und entsprechend der Empfehlung des Vermieters im kleinen Dorf Kerasia sehr freundliche Leute kennen gelernt. Gern werden wir dieses Haus wieder mieten, wenn wir das nächste Mal nach Kreta kommen.

Ein modern eingerichtetes, sehr geräumiges Haus

Wir wurden von den Besitzern des Hauses außerordentlich freundlich empfangen und mit Speis und Trank sowie vielen guten Ratsschlägen versehen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, man findet in ihm alles, was man braucht. Es ist modern eingerichtet und verfügt über mehrere Terrassen, von denen man einen sehr schönen Blick in die Landschaft hat. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass in der Nähe eine recht stark befahrenen Fahrtstraße vorbeiführt, und wenn man draußen sitzt, stört der Fahrlärm schon (während er bei geschlossenen Fenster kaum wahrnehmbar ist). Die Lage zu den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten der näheren und ferneren Umgebung ist ausgezeichnet, zumal sich auch ganz in der Nähe eine Auffahrt auf die gerade erwähnte Schnellstraße befindet. Fazit: Wenn man, wie wir, tagsüber unterwegs ist und nach der Rückkehr von Ausflügen den Abend in einer angenehme Unterkunft verbringen möchte, ist das Haus unbedingt zu empfehlen. Weniger geeignet ist es, wenn man erholsame Ferien in einem mediterranen Ambiente plant.

Very nice house from very friendly owners.

Voula and George are excellent hosts. They can give you tips about what to do or see on Crete. And when there is a minor problem, such as a local power failure, George will arrive in a short while, to fix it. It is a spacious, clean and well-maintained house. The balconies and views are great.

We loved staying at Voulas and Georges We visited many nearby places, many ancient sites, a few glorious walks. . The village is a great location for interesting day trips, and the house itself has everything we needed. The mountain villages are fantastic. I’m so glad we were there in the quiet season, everything felt so real. We would stay there again.

Beautiful quirky apartment, perfect place to relax

Great stay and value for money. We had an amazing week and this place is highly recommended. Hosts are friendly and generous. We loved the little village and the traditional food at the taverna nearby. It is very close on the highway to the most amazing beaches of south Crete. We will definately come back!
