We had a great time at this cabin Checking in and out was easy and well communicated, hosts had so many helpful amenities for us to use and you could tell they spent a lot of time accommodating for their guests. We loved swimming and fishing on the lake, enjoying the campfire area and patio and winding down in the cabin before. We would definitely book again.

This is a beautiful property. It is everything you could want in a lake cabin. Great views, cozy, spacious and lots of things to do on the lake! The covered patio deck is wonderful in sun and rain, morning and evening. What a peaceful place to bird watch. We loved our stay.

Awesome get away for a family!

We have stayed at "Cabin on Baby Lake" multiple times now, and each time is better than the last! The cabin is lovely - clean and well maintained. The property and lake are great for many different hobbies and interests. The owners are very communicative and helpful. It was a wonderful experience, and it won't be our last!

We had a great time at this cabin on the lake! Beautiful views and great outdoor spaces! Very kid friendly with lots of toys and family movies. Our kids loved the large sandy area by the lake with toys. We caught a LOT of fish right off the dock. The cabin was clean and comfortable and perfect for our needs!

Cabin on Baby Lake

Our visit was amazing, loved everything about the cabin and lake. (Except black flies). Would love to visit again next August. Check in was easy and cabin had everything we needed. If screen around sun room were kept zipped up it would have been better. We spent an hour killing the flies.

Great Lake house ! Luxurious and secluded.

We enjoyed everything about this property! Comfortable and spacious, nice yard with fire pit, very nice dock for our boat (in a bay where wind and weather are not as troublesome). Beautiful view of lake from Kitchen and huge windows upstairs. Everything is as stated on the website.

Quiet get away

The weather was beautiful during our 4 days at Baby Lake. Our group enjoyed fishing and had luck with bass and some sunnies. Our group ranged in ages from 14 to 89. A note to those with mobility concerns: the entrance to the cabin is through the garage and up stairs to the main level. This was an aspect we were unaware of and gave sone difficulty for the more senior members of our family. The journey down to the dock is also quite steep and an issue for those less mobile.The cabin was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with basics for cooking.We enjoyed the screened porch the most. It was very nice and had comfortable furniture in it.

Great for families

We love this property and the hosts so much! We made so many memories during our last stay. The cabin was clean and the hosts had many kid accommodations- pack and play, high chair, toys, kayaks, so much! We all caught more fish off the dock than any other cabin we’ve rented. We heard loons all the time, saw the same beaver swim by the dock daily, and spent so much time fishing. The beds are super comfy and the cabin was perfect for our 6, 8 and 18 month old kids. We will be back! It was hard to leave.

Great stay - family friendly

Our family had such an awesome time at this cabin! Everything was very clean and check-in/out was easy. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our time away on the lake! The owner was very responsive when we had questions. Not a lot for restaurants in Hackensack, but we weren’t looking to leave the cabin much so the little market in town was perfect to pickup a few items on our way there. Our kids ages 4 and 6 keep talking about how fun the trip was! They loved the loft area with the beds and plenty of space to play. We will absolutely be back, hopefully when it’s warmer so we can take better advantage of the beach area and dock!

Family get away

We came to this vacation home with our immediate family which included the parents, two adult daughters with their husbands, and their children. We have two 2 year olds, and two newborns. The porch was a highlight for everyone! It was clean, easy to check into, and even though it rained two days we were able to enjoy the wonderful sandy beach, lake front, and firepit multiple days! The only complaints we had were the grill would not go above 300 degrees with propane, or charcoal. This was a huge bummer as we planned our meals around the grill. The second thing was we were expecting three bedrooms in addition to the loft space upstairs. That threw us off a little bit with the little kids, but we made it work and made the best of it. The last thing was outside the host control, but there was a neighbor who partied late into the night (2:30am) with loud music and shouting. Overall the time spent in this home was a great time. The grandkids were able to create lasting memories!

The Cabin on Baby Lake

We had a very nice stay at the Cabin on Baby Lake. We enjoyed time at the lake. There were plenty of activities for enjoying the great outdoors. The owners provided kayaks, paddle boards, floating air mattress, water trampoline, etc. The firepit is well stocked with roasting sticks and firewood for purchase if needed. They even had a fish cleaning station. The owners are very organized; from the welcome letter with a ton of great information to the supplies in the cabin. Everything was marked and clearly identified. A couple things to call to your attention. There is no dishwasher in the cabin. However, the owners had plenty of paper plates for our use which cut down on the dish washing. Another item to call out is the drive way is not that big and it is steep. We had two boat trailers and two big vehicles to squeeze in but we made it work. You pull into the short driveway and you are greeted by the garage doors right away. You actually enter the cabin through the garage. You have to bring all your belongings upstairs into the cabin. Just calling that out in case you have older family members. Overall this was a great cabin and we would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful, relaxing getaway

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. The weather was a little cooler in the high 60's the first 2 days so we didn't do much out on the water. We used the kayaks and boat to go fishing. We caught some fishes from perch to bass to northern from the dock and out on the lake. It was a very nice and quiet lake. The water was very clear also, which was beautiful. The cabin was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was a beautiful, well-kept, cabin that we enjoyed so much. We wished we could have stayed longer. There was plenty of space for the five of us. The kids enjoyed hanging out in the loft area. Loved the windows and the views of the lake from the windows. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen which had adequate suppies for meal prepping. The grounds were very well kept. We used the fire pit one evening. The sky was so clear and there were so many stars out. We even saw a couple of shooting stars! The area was very peaceful and quiet in the daytime as well as the evening. We would definitely come back and book for a longer stay! Three nights were not enough to enjoy the cabin itself, the grounds, and to go into town and explore all that the surrounding area has to offer. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful cabin!

Great Memories

Our family of 4 (kids 6 & 9) had a wonderful time at the Cabin on Baby Lake. The property is well maintained with plenty to keep us all entertained - lawn games, swimming, fishing, etc. The town is close enough that we could go out for movies, ice cream or dinner if we wanted.

Our "up north" dream came true when we purchased the Cabin at Baby Lake.  

Living in the Twin Cities, we are able to spend available weekends at the cabin, making memories with our four kids and our dogs. It's a wonderful place to go up and relax with family and friends.

Our kids love the sandy beach, going boating, kayaking, fishing, catching frogs/turtles, riding the UTV - looking for abundant wildlife.

We just love to be up North, fish the many bays of Baby Lake as well as the connecting Mann Lake and McKeown Lake.

Be sure to stop at the Woman Lake Lodge for their famous donuts!! It's our kids favorite thing to do in the morning!

Why they chose this property

It took over 2 years to find what was considered to be "the perfect" family cabin. I wanted to have a little bit of land, a bit of privacy, a sandy beach and a lake that was good for both recreation and fishing. The Cabin on Baby Lake met those needs and more!

What makes this property unique

The sandy beach and flat play area near the lakeshore are priceless..
The house is located on a small peninsula with great neighbors nearby but still enjoy privacy on the wooded lot as well. And is next to thousands of acres of state and federal land.
The large firepit area overlooks the lake and has beautiful views of the wooded land across the bay.
