The 18th century renovated and independant apartments, obtained from the old stables of the Masseria, with vaulted ceilings, are part of the main country house resided by the owners. They overlook over the 240 acres farm of secular olive trees, Primitivo DOC vineyards and pine woods. The outdoor yard adjacent to both apartments and available for the tenants has two external showers, canopy, table, bench and chairs, parking spaces and an independent entrance. The photos of the house describe the interior in detail. In the evening the guests can enjoy the refreshing seabreeze from the pleasant rooftops. It is possible to use the indoor wood oven or the barbeque to grill fish and enjoy it with a nice cold glass of Primitivo di Manduria, a must! Distance to the sea is three Km and to Maruggio one. Manduria town is 12km away.
Maruggio is a small town famous for its figs, with supermarkets and a picturesque food market on Wednesdays. The nearest seaside village is Campomarino with crystal clear sea, quartz sand beaches and juniper scented dunes. The sea offers interesting excursions for snorkeling and fishing. The near chilly underground river Chidro, close to San Pietro, emerges at 200 meters from the coastline. Over there offshore, it's possible to admire, for the diving enthusiasts, the cargo of a Roman ship sunk around the third century AD. This is one of the many examples of the pure water springs of the Puglia. Another famous spot is Porto Selvaggio green, further South.
Cimarra Estate is located 40 km from Brindisi airport and 40 km from Taranto where the A14 Bari-Taranto Highway ends. The MARTA, museum in Taranto, is one of the most important archeological museums in Italy, established in 1887, is located inside the convent of Alcantarini (XVIII century) in the Umbertino quarter of the city. The museum is known for the goldsmith’s art (Ori of Taranto) and for the skeleton of the Ahlete of Taranto, among the most important roman finds discovered in the nineteenth and twentieth century excavations, during the construction of the new city. This man has been studied by laboratories all around the world, exihibited at the Olimpics in Beijing and told by the BBC documentary, belong the Pentatlon Champion at the Panathenaic Games.
One hundred twenty kilometers of coastline, of breathtaking view, crystal, blu and turquoise sea, thin sand, beautiful dunes and cliffs, characterize Taranto coast, which overlooks the Gulf washed by the Ionian Sea. A succession of beaches, mostly free, and lidos, leads to Campomarino and Marina di Maruggio, beach where every year the sea turtles nest.The Tarantino coast ends at east towards Punta Prosciutto and Porto Cesareo with a surprise: the Reserve of Salt Marshes and Dunes of Torre Columena, where flamingos come to settle and reproduce all over the year.

...Dal vivo è ancora più bella!

Abbiamo appena trascorso una splendida settimana presso la Cimarra, soluzione che si è rivelata ottima per due famiglie con bambini. Ampi spazi interni e all’esterno un’oasi di pace e relax tra ulivi, alberi di fichi e oleandri. Il tutto reso ancor più bello dall’accoglienza e dal senso di ospitalità di Letizia e della sua famiglia. Grazie ancora da noi tutti!

Fantastique /Authentique/Calme/Confortable /

Très belle maison ancienne dans une grande propriété ;très calme et à proximité de très belles plages presque sauvages . très confortable et pièces pas trop chaudes car les murs anciens sont épais un accueil remarquable de la propriétaire Leticia toujours prête à vous rendre service , tout en étant très discrète et qui vous dépose le matin les légumes de son potager ... Un merveilleux séjour . Nous reviendrons !

Excellent séjour dans cette ancienne bâtisse au milieu des oliviers. Le logement est très spacieux et typique de la région. Nous avons été gâtés par les fruits et légumes de Letizia. Situation idéale pour visiter la région et accéder rapidement aux très belles plages.

Fascino e storia in masseria

Bellissima vacanza immersi nella pace e nell'incanto dell'antica masseria Cimarra,circondati da bosco e campi e silenzio. Ambienti di fascino ed estrema gentilezza di Letizia che ci fatto assaporare i sapori della terra del Primitivo. Le dune di Campomarino si affacciano su un angolo di mare di rara bellezza e tranquillità.

Superbe maison au calme

Merci à Letizia et son mari pour leur accueil très sympathique . Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de cette belle propriété au milieu des Oliviers et des Vignes . La location est très spacieuse , de très beaux volumes, beaucoup de calme et de sérénité. Les toits terrasses sont supers agréables. La région est belle, il y a de belles villes à proximité où il fait bon flâner le soir, ( Manduria, Lecce, Galipolli etc...) les plages sont belles mais très fréquentées aux environ du 15 Août. On garde un très bon souvenir de notre séjour et on vous recommande cette location . Merci encore Letizia pour vos conseils , votre accueil et vos légumes délicieux . Marielle

Vacanza in

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura dal primo al quindici agosto insieme a degli amici. Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e cordialità dai proprietari che sono stati molto disponibili anche nel darci indicazioni e consigli. La descrizione dell'immobile contenuta nell'inserzione era accurata ed il servizio fornito dal proprietario di buona qualità. Il mare nelle vicinanze è davvero molto bello e si mangia molto bene nei ristoranti della zona.

Natura, tranquillità e bellezza.

Anche quest'anno Letizia e Giancarlo hanno confermato la loro squisita ospitalità, viziandoci con i saporiti frutti della loro terra e le specialità sapientemente preparate da Letizia. Che dire? Abbiamo vissuto una vera vacanza, staccando dai ritmi frenetici della città per immergerci nella tranquillità della Cimarra, veramente a contatto con la natura della Puglia. Il mare è come sempre meraviglioso e ha mitigato il gran caldo di luglio. Grazie!

Ritorno alla Masseria ´La CImarra`

Ritornare a trovare Letizia e Giancarlo e´stato un vero piacere. Le vacanze precedenti da loro ci avevano conquistati e ricaricati, e cosi´, anche su volonta´ dei nostri figli, ci siamo lasciati piacevolmente riconquistare dall ospitalita´dei padroni di casa e dalla loro spaziosa masseria....i profumi e i colori poi della terra salentina hanno fatto il resto. il mare quest´ anno era ammaliante nei colori e anche a fine giornata dal cortile della masseria si poteva godere di un altrettanto infuocato tramonto. le cicale e un buon vino locale ne facevano da cornice. la casa e´spaziosa oltremisura e protettiva dall arsura salentina. i proprietari discreti e generosi nell´ offirvi i prodotti dei loro orti e la saggezza di quella terra. ....Cosa volere di piu´. very nice and relaxing place, generous hosts

We went to the place last year for summer holidays. The whole property is well suited between olive plantations and tomato fields. The holiday house is a an old spacious brickstone building with a nice outside front yard to sit and relax.The hosts were really generous and kind and made our stay absolutely enjoyable. One needs a car for the 3 km to the next beach but there are lots of nice beaches at the shore and it is worth to discover them. The area is really beautiful, the shore is sometimes composed of rocks where one can snorkel or white sand beaches with an intact nature und a lot of shells. Especially beautiful are Matera and Lecce, old and unique cities. I really recomment the place, the price is absolutely appropriate. We

absolutely recommendable, generous hosts

We went there for our summer holidays last years.The place is very nicely situated in-between olive plantations and tomato fields. The property belongs to very nice hosts, the holiday house itself is an old romantic building which is really spacious. There is also a generous yard in front to the holiday house including outside tables and a sun protection. The house is about 3 km in distance to the beaches. The coast and beaches are really gorgeous with white sand and rocks in-between. The nature is still very intact, to be seen by a lot of shells and small animals.I highly recommend the whole area especially Materia, a must go! and Lecce. In all we can highly recomment the house, the price and and location are absolutely appropriate.

Bellissima esperienza

Luogo pieno di atmosfera in mezzo ad un'uliveto secolare indipendente ma parte di una bella masseria che fa respirare l'atmosfera della Puglia agricola. un luogo tranquillo a pochi minuti da un mare trasparente e da dove si possono fare interessanti escursioni in luoghi storici. Appartamento comodo, piacevolmente organizzato, molto spazioso e con le sue volte a botte e le antiche mura protegge anche dal caldo eccessivo. I proprietari poi gentilissimi molto accoglietni e Letizia ci fa assaggiare tutte le prelibatezze del suo orto e leccornie preparate con le sue mani. Un soggiorno che sarà da ripetere. soggiorno incantevole in un ambiente signorile

La prima impressione che abbiamo avuto entrando in casa è stata molto positiva. La casa è deliziosa ed arredata con grande gusto e cura. Molto disponibile il proprietario e la signora sempre piena di attenzioni, davvero due simpatiche persone, e poi marmellate,pomidorini,mandorle zuccherate..prelibatezze in regalo. Cosi' pensiamo di ritornare l'anno prossimo

voglia di vacanza

Che pace nella tenuta La Cimarra. Casa simpatica e confortevole, padroni di casa amichevoli e gentili e all’imbrunire camminate a non finire in una campagna di viti e olivi, rigogliosa. Caldo, mi si dice quest’anno in modo particolare…e brezza serale, fresca, da copertina la notte. Ci siamo rigenerati: lunghe dormite e lunghissime nuotate in quel mare limpido e cristallino, mosso quel tanto da divertirci con le onde.”Eeee poi Maruggio con la storica basilica e gli scorci ricchi di storia salentina: l’arco, la piazza, i palazzotti del centro….e la gente …in dialetto spiega dove si trova il mercato settimanale…dove c’è il pesce di mare fresco.

NATURA, STORIA E BELLEZZA,

Si dice che il bello sia educativo e terapeutico, di sicuro per la nostra famiglia (genitori e 4 ragazzi) la vacanza a La Cimarra oltre a questo è stata anche rigenerante. Le stanze sono belle, ampie e fresche e l’ambiente in generale è molto curato. Si è immersi nella natura, c’è pace e tranquillità. I padroni di casa non hanno perso occasione per dimostrarci la loro squisita ospitalità, offrendoci quasi ogni giorno i saporiti prodotti del loro orto. Un’esperienza che sicuramente vogliamo rivivere e che consigliamo vivamente. Famiglia Poirè.

Pura Rilassante Natura

una antica masseria circondata dalle fresche ombre di pini marittimi e statuari olivi secolari. la discreta cordialita` dei proprietari che a fine giornata vi accolgono con un sorriso offrendovi gli antichi sapori dei loro orti. una grande aia privata ove rilassarsi godendosi il tramonto cullati dal frinire delle cicale e dal profumo di selvatiche spezie mediterranee. una strategica base per gustare con tutti i sensi cio` che di meglio ha da offrire la rinomata costa salentina.....un dolce oblio alla Masseria `La Cimarra`. Godersi quiete e natura

Prima di tutto desidero ringraziare i proprietari,Letizia e Giancarlo,per la cortesia e la familiarità con cui siamo stati accolti e seguiti durante in nostro soggiorno.L'appartamento,caratteristico e squisitamente ristrutturato,è inserito nel contesto di una tipica nasseria pugliese.Ampio e confortevole (tre camere,ampia cucina con camino,doppi servizi ) si presta comodamente ad ospitare anche due famiglie.Il contesto esterno è bellissimo ; quiete e natura consentono un pieno relax. E' stato per noi un punto ideale di partenza per le escursioni e la vista del meraviglioso Salento.Ripeteremo senza dubbio l'esperienza in estate per godere dello splendido mare e delle spiagge libere che dalle belle dune sabbiose di Campomarino (3 km da La Cimarra) si estendono verso porto Cesareo,Gallipoli e oltre.

Un angolo di paradiso

Un ringraziamento particolare ai proprietari, Giancarlo e Letizia per la gentilezza e la cortesia dimostrata nei nostri confronti. Abbiamo passato una settimana di mare,riposo e frutta e verdura fresca, raccolta dai padroni di casa. La casa è molto accogliente, ben tenuta e con ampi spazi interni ed esterni. Si tratta di un piano terra, con 2 camere spaziose,fresche e comode, più una che costituisce l’ingresso e diventa camera per due persone. Il bagno è grande, sono utili anche le due docce esterne soprattutto quando si rientra dal mare. I terrazzi sovrastanti la casa sono estesi e piacevoli per prendere un ’aperitivo. La cucina è ampia, ben tenuta e fornita di tutta l’ attrezzatura, con un grande e bel camino. Caratteristico lo spazio esterno con archi e volte a botte e bouganville rossa in contrasto con il bianco calce delle arcate. Parcheggio comodo con ancora vasto spazio delimitato da mura, all’interno della corte c’è un fico con frutti sugosi e dolcissimi settembrini. Fuori dal perimetro della masseria, accanto alla doccia esterna c''e` anche un luogo dove poter stendere la biancheria. Di notte si può ammirare lo spettacolo del cielo stellato senza alcun inquinamento luminoso e al mattino l''alba appare all''orizzonte. In sintesi: splendido!!!" Fabio Seri

vivere la storia

Se si vuole vivere la storia, se dopo un giorno nello splendido assolato mare di Puglia ci si vuole rinfrescare fra spesse mura storiche di una tenuta nel verde, allora la Tenuta Cimarra è il posto giusto. Penso che quello che i miei occhi vedono al mattino al mio risveglio ed alla sera prima di dormire sia più importante di quello che "vivono" di giorno. Un grande ringraziamento devo farlo ai proprietari che con le loro "coccole" mi hanno regalato una vacanza che va oltre alla semplice prenotazione di un luogo. Riccardo Sivelli.

Cimarra Property Features are: peace, starry sky in the evening, terraces ventilated by the sea breeze, birds singing, the deafening chirping of cicadas, fresh vegetables, fruits picked from, Letizia jams.
Peace evening at home, after repeated immersion in the clear waters of Ionio beaches or have tasted in noisy festivals, the pizzarieddi or other typical products of Puglia.
My husband and I devote a lot of time to La Cimarra, we like using our hands and sweat, staying outside in the fresh air, after a life of sedentary brain work.

The thick exterior walls of a meter large keep the temperature constant in double bedroom.

In May I grow roses, in June I collect firstborn capers , which are as good as those of Pantelleria.In July, I deal with blackberries, tomatoes and eggplants in olive oil jars. In August jam of figs, of racemes of Primitive, prickly pears.
The starry sky with the constellations and shooting stars is perhaps the most beautiful show, after the sea. And you can enjoy!
