This area is full of natural beauty - far from the madding crowds - a peaceful haven - truly away from it have Red Kites which fly overhead + in the Summer the song of the Skylark - and a clear starry night sky far from light pollution -great for star gazing.

Please note linen is provided but we do ask guests to bring their own towels please. Also the logs for your first fire are provided after which you can buy more locally or sometimes Anna has logs for sale. The electricity is on a £1 coin meter so please bring a few £1 coins.

Also please note the shower has limited headroom!

Trallwyn Bach is the very smallest place here at Trallwyn Cottages - so if you prefer a larger space we have a choice of larger cottages you can book.

We are proud to be a little bit quirky, as we believe that's one of many things that make a stay or visit to us just that little bit different from the ordinary.

Rustic and inviting
The property is cozy and inviting! It rained the entire time I was there so I didn’t get to explore much but I enjoyed my time there.

Very cosy!
The shower was far too small for someone 6'1" Very cosy space and slippy underfoot to get there. Nice lady owner and nice log burner but too small for us.

Quirky, cosy in a very special location. Incredible surroundings .
A very cosy little property, just right for the two of us for a short stay. We'll definitely be back, but if staying for longer than 3 nights would probably book one of the larger properties on site. Would be fine for one person for longer unless you're very tall 😊. Anna is very welcoming without intruding. We feel refreshed and recharged. Thank you.

Amazing
We were booked in to the cosy studio bach. It was absolutely beautiful, the bed is set into the wall making it feel like you are nestled in to a little cave. There is a roof window so you can gaze up to the stars as you drift off to sleep. The studio adjoins the moor where there is a stone circle snd standing stones. sheep and ponies wander freely, the views are spectacular, you are only a short distance from some beautiful walks and also beaches. A truly magical place, I only wish we could have stayed longer

About the host

Host profile image
If Anna is in enjoys chatting with helping them decide which places to loves to encourage people who enjoy singing and playing acoustic music especially out on the moor around the fire.

Anna moved to Pembrokeshire in the late '80's and has gradually created a number of beautiful places to stay. Originally from London it was always her dream to live somewhere wild and beautiful. She trained originally in Bristol to teach nursery/infants and special needs children and studied ceramics.

Part of the motivation behind moving to the area was to enable her children to go to the local Steiner School, Nant-y-Cwm which is just four miles away.

Ashera Pottery opened in '95. It is here that Anna by the natural world and landscape around build...Each year she does more seems to be a real need for people to get in touch with their creative for children and whole families to spend time enjoys passing on her with small groups and when weather permits outside...

For Anna one of the main delights of living here is the wonderful view with ever changing colours. The big skies and the red kites and the song of skylarks...

'One of my favourite treats is to watch the sun setting beyond the moor and the new Moon rising.'

As well as enjoying the immediate and magical surroundings of Trallwyn Anna loves the coves and beaches which are abundant in this part of the world. In 2002 Anna bought an old village house in Polopos Village Southern she thinks of as a perfect compliment to Wales...She now spends some of the cooler months in a warmer climate...

Pottery teaching is usually available in the months when Anna is in Wales which includes most of the high Summer season...

Why they chose this property

Charming - low cost budget place to stay but with all you need and a fantastic view to the moor and ancient stones!

What makes this property unique

The moor is amazing a magical experience on your doorstep! Gorgeous wild ponies you can watch grazing from your a chance to make pottery if you wish!
