About this property

Wooded 5 acres cool quiet country cottage retreat

Sheltered by tall pines on the mountains of the Front Range, this secluded family-friendly mountain cabin is located just an hour’s drive from Denver and an hour and a half from Colorado Springs making it the perfect weekend getaway for guests looking to relax in a cozy cabin in the Colorado wilderness. Deer are frequently spotted walking around the property.

Based in the town of Bailey in Park County, the cabin features a rustic wood panel exterior and an elevated deck while the interior is stylish and comfortable with plenty of space for a family with young kids. It sleeps six guests in total with the master bedroom coming with a queen-size bed and two bedrooms coming with a set of bunk beds each. The master bedroom features bedside tables with reading lamps and elegant furnishings while the bunk rooms are bright and colorful with lots of toys for kids. Guest have access to two bathrooms that each come with a toilet and a hand basin while the main bathroom also comes with a tub and shower.

The living room is a wonderful spot for gathering the family around the wood-burning fireplace and sitting back on the soft leather sofas. There is an HD TV with a selection of DVDs as well as a variety of board games so guests can enjoy entertaining family nights in. There is a dining table for six in the same room as well as a fully equipped kitchen that has a stove, oven, microwave, and a refrigerator as well as a range of cooking utensils.

Outside, guests may be able to catch a glimpse of deer and elk roaming through the forest as they relax on the elevated deck. There is also an outdoor barbecue grill allowing guests to experience the thrill of a camping adventure while knowing their cozy beds are just inside.

We hope you will love staying here as much as we do. Great for families or couples that want to reconnect with nature to recharge and renew their relationships.

Due to the remote location of the cabin, the cell service can be spotty depending on your service provider. The cabin is an easy drive of about 25 miles or 35 minutes away from Red Rocks Amphitheater. We are about 90 minutes from the nearest ski resort.

Perfect
Everything was just as advertised/hoped for. The cabin had everything we could ever need and was very cozy. The property was like a private park and felt very remote even though it was only an hour from home. Would return and recommend.

Weekend getaway
The cabin was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. Really appreciated the ease of check-in, especially after a long day of traveling. James was very helpful with check-in process, and kept in touch throughout our stay incase we needed anything. The amenities in the house are great, really enjoyed our stay. My son loved all the board games and seeing the deer. It was perfect.

Charming.
Geared towards children. Easy to get too. Very cleaned. James is very communicative and checked in more than one occasion through texts. Internet spotty. I believe that is anywhere in mountains.

Mission trout fishing
Success! Recommend to check out Pine Valley Ranch Park, 20 min from cabin, to catch trout. Cabin was exactly as advertised. Heard an Elk bugling.

Quite cabin
This place was perfect for us. We came out to go hiking everyday. It was very nice not having the TV on. They do have a nice selection on DVD’s. We did have cell service and data service on our phones. With teenage kids we used up the 3 gigs of WI-FI in no time. It had an up north feeling for us. Most trails that we hiked were 40 min out. Red rocks was 28 min away. A+++++
