The bungalow has four bedrooms and is right in the centre of Windermere

Bedroom 1 as super king bed .Bedroom 2 super-bed Bedroom three and four has a double beds There is a fully equipped kitchen dining table seating six people the lounge is very spacious with three settees additional table with four chairs  smart TV This room is very much home from home The main bathroom has bath with shower there is also additional cloakroom with WC and sink there is outside seating and plenty of parking Windermere train station is a very short distance away and a car is not necessary but is recommended if you would like to explore the whole of the Lake district

Great house!

We had a great time here - very clean, spacious, and a very short walk to Windermere shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. We had a comfortable stay without any major issues!

Lovely property in great location.

We had a lovely stay in Rosthwaite cottage. It has an ideal location minutes from the shops and restaurants in Windermere, but a bit away from the madness of the crowds down by Bowness and the lake (we appreciated the peace and quiet as we were there over the very busy Easter weekend. The house is beautifully decorated with four spacious bedrooms. The living room is huge and very bright and inviting. The kitchen is lovely and well equipped. Although the house is on a busy road, it’s set back from the road and we didn’t hear any road noise at all. The bathroom is freshly renovated and has a great big shower. It only has the one bathroom, but also has a convenient cloakroom. There were a couple of niggles that stop me giving a 5 star, there was no cot for my baby and I wasn’t able to rent one locally so I had to bring my own. Luckily we were driving so we could do so but it could be a problem for those not self driving. Also the curtains were very light material so it meant early rising kids! Lastly, there was no hair dryer or pegs for hanging out laundry. Only small things, but if these were sorted, it would be 5 star all the way. We loved our few days in Windermere and would definitely stay in this cottage again. Communication with host was excellent and collection/leaving keys was very convenient.
