"The Rediscovered House" is located along Via La Marmora, few bolcks away from the Botanical Garden and the Angelico Museum in Piazza San Marco.
The apartment, recently renovated, is the forefront of acoustic and thermal insulation systems. Unique and prestigious residence.
The door from the street is the original wooden door electrically controlled. Once inside, you will find the stairs and an elevator. There were 7 of us staying at this lovely apartment. We liked the location - a bit out of the tourist noise and action. There was some construction outside on the street while we were there but that should not be a problem going forward. The rooms are spacious, the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our time there.
We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for all eight of us. My only recommendation is the furniture in the living room needs to be replaced, as it is worn out.
We were a large family group (9 people), grandparents, children and grandchildren. The accommodations were very comfortable and the location was excellent. It was a short walk to the Domo and other attractions. The hostess provided plenty of information about the neighborhood including grocery stores and local restaurants. I would definitely return to this property.
We felt like we were living the luxury life in this apartment. So beautiful, comfortable and clean. Plenty of room for our family of 7. Monica was so helpful throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!!
We had a group of ten. The apartment was perfect. It is so beautiful, it looks like something from a movie inside. The host was very responsive & we had all of the creature comforts. It’s a nice, quiet neighborhood with easy walking to all popular destinations. This place is a romantic dream!!
We visited Florence for 9 days with our multi-generational family. We spanned ages 4 to 74, including an elder with mobility issues. We were blessed to stay at this absolutely stunning apartment (website photos don’t do it justice!). It is located in a great walkable location in Florence (to sights, dining, gelato, shopping). We had enough space and creature comforts for everyone.
The beautiful apartment featured important amenities for us: beautiful space, air conditioning (in July!), cleanliness, a fully-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, # bedrooms with modern en-suites, and a small elevator for our senior and luggage. The apartment exceeded our expectations! We loved staying in this apartment- it is the best rental home we ever stayed at for family vacations.
Monica was especially helpful with our arrangements, recommendations for restaurants, grocery shopping, transport to the airport, and inquiries. Thank you Monica!
Florence holds a special place in our hearts and we’ll always have awesome memories of our stay and family time at La Mamora. Thank you for sharing your home!
Our family of 5(mom, dad, and 3 young adult children) felt like royalty staying here for our week in Florence. Monica graciously waited for and communicated with us while we dealt with lost baggage at the airport. While it was more space than we needed, it provided everyone a place to have alone time from each other after long days of sightseeing and we all had our own bathrooms! The history of this building (former embassy) and the painted ceilings added to the grandeur. Having a kitchen, pod single cup coffee maker, washer and dryer, refrigerator/freezer allowed us to keep some groceries at home and sleep in and not always have to find a place to eat. A large grocery store was about a 6-8 minute walk away and there was a cart we could take with us to carry everything home in.
Monica was very attentive and helpful, and even received one of our lost bags at her office for us so we didn't miss a day of sightseeing. The beds are all very firm (which we liked) except the bed in the master bedroom (it was much softer but our son liked that). We did have mosquitos in the house which is par for the course in Florence in June. One shower was not working and Monica had that fixed in a few days for us.
The location was quiet and residential, It was totally walkable from center city, but every time we reached the Galleria Accademia building, we wished we were home.
We highly recommend this professionally kept VRBO apartment. Loved our stay and Loved Florence!
Our extended family (age range from 11 - 50) stayed in this absolutely beautiful apartment and loved it. We had lots of space and it was beautifully decorated. It was also up only one flight of stairs and quiet. Monica was very helpful and accommodating with restaurant and cafe recommendations. Short taxi ride to train station and about a 15 min. walk to most attractions. We would definitely stay here again!
The apartment was a short walk to all the action and the rooms were spacious. The kitchen was very small but we found ourselves congregating there after a long day. We never did figure out how to work the dryer and many household items like toilet paper and garbage bags had to be purchased. The pros were Monica the hostess. She was fabulous and helped to make our stay enjoyable. The cons are the beds are too firm. I threw my back out on night #2 and was down for about 2-days in terrible pain. One of the kids had a softer mattress and switched with us. Other than that, this apartment, location, and hostess were exceptional.
The property manager, Monica, met us and explained the workings of the property. She also recommended restaurants and various things to do..The location is excellent we were able to walk to meals and central Florence.
An outstanding flat and location; not a single complaint.
The location is far away of the crowdy and noisy tourists ,but still at 5 mn ++ of the Galery of Accademia and the double to go to the Dome.If you are tired a taxi for 6 persons cost 10 euros .The appartement is great ,pictures show exactly what you will get; 400 m² of pure happiness, painted ceilings,space....
Tiny problems :one of the sofas in the living room needs refreshing and collection of rubbishs a bit noisy early morning. Thanks to Monica to recover a forgotten camera in a taxi and for her help as well as Francisco for the bienvenue

Superb apartment!
My family and I loved staying in this apartment. We truly had the experience of having our own high end apartment in this wonderful city. There were eight of us and one infant and there was more than enough space for all of us. The apartment is beautiful and it captures the style and sensibility of Florence. The location is a moderate walk to the main tourist attractions, but this also means less noise and congestion. Also, all of our interactions with Monica could not have been better. This place is great! Grazie, Monica

Perfect!
This apartment was amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. The location allows you walking access to all major points of interest in Florence but is also far enough out that its a welcome retreat from your busy day. Each bedroom was beautifully decorated and had it's own well appointed bathrooms. The common areas were large and great places to gather with a glass of wine to talk about your day. The ceilings are amazing as are all the windows looking out into the streets of Florence. The owner met us when we arrived and spent as much time as we wanted going through the apartment and giving us tourism advice. I could not recommend this apartment more. I think it made our trip so special
